I restarted my HG the other day. I'm doing a run where when I catch a pokemon, I trade it to Platinum for EV training, then trade it back. So let's see how this goes shall we?

Update 1- 9/11/2011
-Started game, picked Totodile, did all the begging stuff, avoiding battles that weren't necessary and gave Totodile the wrong EVs.
-Defeated Rival ?????'s Chikorita
-Finally got Pokeballs so I could catch more pokemon, giving me the ability to trade.
-Traded Totodile to Platinum for EV training, and traded him back when I finished.
-On Route 31, I caught a Bellsprout, and traded him over for EV training and traded back when finished.

Next time, I'll catch a Mareep and repeat the process.

I am just about to enter Mt. Coronet from the Bike Ramp in Platinum, going into Heartrome I believe.

I started my Platinum version again, naming myself Mike and choosing Chimchar as my starter, defeated Barry in my first battle and made it to Sandgem Town obtaining my Pokédex.
In Jubilife City I got the Town Map after delivering a parcel to Barry and my Pokétch.
Defeated Barry once again and saved after healing up at the PokéCenter.

Well, I'm going to get in character for this one!
Ahem...

My name is Ailani and I've just started my adventures in the Johto region! I'm from New Bark town and this evening I received my first Pokemon from Professor Elm in exchange for doing him a favour.

I chose the water type, Totodile, or course! Water types are the greatest and I hope to be able to catch and train all of the water types in Johto!

Totodile and I just arrived back at the lab after traveling past Cherrygrove city to visit Mr. Pokemon. While I was there I also got to meet the famous Professor Oak! You know, the one from Kanto who has his own radio show? He was impressed by my cute little Toto and gave me a Pokedex. Mr Pokemon gave me a neat Pokemon egg to deliver to Professor Elm, and now I might be going out on a journey to collect all of the 8 Johto Gym badges. Professor Elm thinks I have what it takes, but I have to talk to my mom first hehe.

Unfortunately, on my way back from Cherrygrove I had my very first Pokemon battle. It was against this weird red headed fellow with a Chikorita. Luckily, Toto had levelled up a bit from our journey, so he was easily able to take out his Pokemon. When I got back to the lab I discovered that he had stolen that Chikorita! That makes me so mad, I can't believe people would resort to stealing Pokemon! Luckily, I got his name, Umberto. At first the police thought that I might be the thief, but luckily my best friend Ethan came to my rescue.

Well, now I'm going to go talk to my mom about my journey and play with Totodile a bit more! If we go, we are going to be leaving first thing in the morning so we need lots of rest. I can't wait to see all the different types of water Pokemon that are out there. I especially want to catch a Marril. Ethan's Marril is so cute, I want one for myself too!

So going through my platinum, I thought I had my team planned out for the rest of the game. Boy was I wrong. While reading Mt. Coronet's bulbapedia page, I saw there were feebas inside, so I decided to try and catch one, maybe see if I could evolve it, or even use it in my team. 40 minutes in, I find one and ASFAFGUGA IT'S SHINY!! Thankfully, I had my scyther with false swipe at the front, and managed to snag it! AND 2ND BEST OF ALL, it has a modest nature. Here's my current line-up:

I just started out and have Chimchar. Did all the starting things and have just gotten my pokéballs. Hmm, let's go catching spree... what pokémon roams Sinnoh? I feel so noobish xD

Pokemon Diamond

After getting Turtwig and setting off on my journey I took some time to train Turtwig a bit and caught a Starly.

In Jubilife City I tried to go to the Global Terminal, but I forgot that I need a gym badge first. [Is playing too much Black and White] After dropping of the town map with my rival, who I named ナーク, I ran around to get the coupons for my Poketch. I then decimated ナーク's Pokemon and made my way to Oreburgh. I skipped all the trainers. (Pro trainer dodger) After finding out that the Gym leader wasn't there I went to the mines to find him. I caught a Geodude along the way so that I could teach it Rock Smash.

I beat Roark on my second try. He beat me pretty badly the first time, but I went back and got my revenge. I made my way back to Jubilife where I had to fight my first two Galactic Grunts. Their hair makes me lol in real life every time I see them. I beat them and moved on to Floaroma town. I had to battle a few trainers because they were unavoidable. First thing I did in Floaroma was get the Sprayduck can. Then, I got rid of Galactic inside Valley Windworks.
My team at this point:

I caught a Shellos and I dodged more trainers on the way to Eterna Forest.

This is where I met モミ. She didn't even let me say yes before she decides to join me on the way through Eterna Forest. Her Chansey is also extra baggage in my battles. The only thing helpful she did was helping me catch a cute little Buneary. ~o~ After a bunch of double battles we reach the other side of Eterna Forest and モミ leaves. Yay! I'm heading straight to Eterna Gym for my gym battle.

Platinum Playthrough
Day 1 - Getting Started

Starting on my play through of Platinum that I found. :D

My name is Hayden and my best friend/rival is Muse. Muse is pretty hyper/caffeinated to be running around like that. After crashing into me, dragging me to Route 201, and getting lectured by Prof. Rowan, Muse let's me choose my Pokemon first. For this play through I chose Piplup.

My game-mom says I have to say thank you properly so I went to the professor's lab. Battled some Starly on the way. I got my Pokedex and nicknamed my Piplup, KirOzMia. After a quick tour from Lucas of Sandgem town, I took the fast route back to Twinleaf town to talk to my game-mom. On my way to Route 202, I stop to buy some pokeballs and potions. I get 5 more pokeballs after Lucas shows me how to capture a Pokemon.

The first thing I like to do is get a Pokemon with wings, in this case it would be Starly. I also caught a Shinx while I was at it.

I stayed on Route 202 for a while to train my 3 Pokemon to level 8. The trainers on the route weren't challenging at all. I head to Jubilife to meet Lucas and we encounter that weird "Looker" person. Creepy...hiding behind things and jumping out randomly. After I drop off the parcel that Muse's mom asked me to deliver. He gives me his extra town map that was inside it and I go battle the two little kids on the other side of the wall. What's more fun than beating up some random kid's Pokemon?

Next I have to run around and collect coupons for my Poketch. After I finally get that, I head to Route 203 where I run into Muse and he wants to battle. I take him out and make my way to Oreburgh city.

I restarted SoulSilver, and chose a girl for this journey. My starter is Cyndaquil, and it's currently a Level 23 Quilava.

I'm about to battle Falkner. More training (out of boredom) is likely. xD;

Bought and started Pokémon Platinum today! :D

-Admired Dawn's Winter outfit for five whole minutes and walked about in the snow outside
-Visited the hyperactive Noah's house
-Started with a Chimchar
-Visited the lake, and saw a suspicous character lurking beside the lake. Heard the cry of a distant legendary Pokémon...
-Arrived at Sandgem town. Had *lots* of fun doing the beginning of game tutorials.
-Arrived at Jubilife without too much trouble. Obtained the Pokétch.
-Caught a Budew, levelled it up to level 10
-Arrived at Oreburgh city, visited the mine, flattened Roark with my Budew.
-Returned to Jubilife and fought off some thugs bothering Prof. Rowan and Lucas!
-Got through Ravaged pass. Arrived at Floroama town. Saved the Valley Windworks! :D
-Arrived at the entrance to Eterna Forest. Will carry on later tonight.
