I've always liked Girafarig in some way. Formerly just because of its unique type combination (a psychic type immune to ghosts!), but they can also learn good moves of many different types, for example psychic, body slam, earthquake, thunderbolt and even more.

Sadly girafarig has bad stats, it would be nice to see it getting an evolution (or a mega evolution, but I would prefer a proper evolution).

I don't think bad stats should be too big of a factor whether a person likes x mon or not. I personally love Girafarig and while having full knowledge that it's not the most extravagant thing out there. I'd love to ride on one, train one, have one. Its design is simple, yes. But that's the way I like stuff. Simple and not too complex. + it makes up for bad stats in terms of a cool typing/wide range of moves.

I agree though, I think an evolution would do some good for it! Either add to the offensive side or bulk it up a bit. Though they could honestly just leave Girafarig as it is and just buff up its base stats.

Once again, I'd like to thank Wicked for keeping the club active and cool when I wasn't around, I really appreciate it! Sorry for my recent inactivity, something popped up when I wasn't around and I couldn't run the club for a bit. Despite me being horribly late, I'd like to welcome SkorXX, H.A.N as well as J9794, whom I'd also like to separately thank for creating userbars for the club.

It's been a long time, but as always, discuss away! Keep in mind that this is a speculation topic of sorts. It's been changed from the topic quoted in the post below, so keep that in mind. :)

My pleasure, I enjoy doing stuff in photoshop from time to time.
And, as the game is just a remake (they don't add new attacks/items/abilities in remakes, right?, or do they?), all I can hope is for still not announced cool psychic mega evolutions. I wouldn't mind any psychic getting a mega evo, but something I'd love seeing is some pokes getting the psychic type via a mega evo (as charizard got the dragon type). These pokemon I'd like becoming psychics are some that already feel and look like psychics, but for some reason they aren't:

Yeah, I don't know why it didn't pop out sooner that this isn't the best of topics. Something a little more specific to ORAS would be better, IMO. I'll be changing the topic to:

Thoughts regarding Tate&Liza in OR/AS?

They gave me some trouble in the old days, though I kind of hope they're a challenge still so it makes me have to work harder. But not like Whitney.

Thoughts regarding Tate&Liza in OR/AS?

Their new designs are really cool! The old design honestly suited their culture and age better compared to the new ones but I liked both. Haven't read up on any pokemon they were using (if they appeared in the demo at all) but my idea is that they're probably aiming to keep the same team and perhaps buff one o of each's pokemon with a mega evolution. They're the seventh gym leaders after all. =P

I honestly can't give much more thought on that though since Tate and Liza weren't exactly memorable for me. :(

Thoughts regarding Tate & Liza in OR/AS?

I love the duo's new design, they look much cuter and now they actually don't look so too identical because with their old design, the only difference with them was their hair. At least that they now have different-colored star buttons on their coats (green for Tate, red for Liza) so it's a bit easier to tell the two apart now. As for their Gym Battle, I'd imagine it'd still be tough given they're using the same old Lunatone/Solrock duo.

Surf probably wouldn't be as useful against them due to it now hitting your partner, but at least Dark moves will be more effective now thanks to the physical/special split.

Surf wasn't as effective either, since Solrock knew Sunny Day. Tate and Liza blocked multi opponent moves by this. As for other moves, Rock Slide was not very effective and Earthquake was blocked by Levitate.
All their Pokémon were immune to ground type moves, Xatu and Claydoll in Emerald too, which meant that they could use Earthquake without hitting an ally.

How about I join yet another club.

Why you want to join the club: Psychic-type Pokémon are really cool as the type that focuses on the mind, which makes for neat opposition to fight with. While they were very overpowered in Generation I but nowhere near as good today, they are a formidable type.

And I do hope this is sufficient... Thanks!

Thoughts regarding Tate & Liza in OR/AS?
One original Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, I've found these two person to be quite difficult to go through. Although much of it was because of me not training enough, their Pokémon were still quite tough; to take down Solrock and Lunatone, it had taken me approximately six tries. In my first and second runs, I chose Blaziken and Sceptile as my starter respective, and they weren't good enough to defeat these guys; to get the job done, I needed to go out of my way to capture some water-type. Third run, however, they were slightly less difficult due to Swampert being there, but were still tough nonetheless.

In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, I believe it would be nice if they were to tone down a bit. Of course, this probably wouldn't happen as they like to keep remakes resembling to original titles as closely as possible. I'd imagine to become slightly more difficult than anything, as they've introduced plenty of new moves since generation three, as well as abilities.

As far as their designs go, I believe these people look very beautiful! They've done a great job at this; couldn't have done any better if it were up to me!

I don't know if it's just my computer but a lot of the sprites in the first post aren't showing up.

Oh wow, good call. I'll fix that sometime soon, don't know why that happened out of the blue, they all worked until...now. The website those came from probably did OR/AS updates and it screwed the files up if I had to guess.

U know tate and Liza are extremely unique and cool and theyre one of my favorite gym leaders ( just beat the 3 mins ago) but im diappointed that they weren't a challenge at all this time literrally the battle didnt last 7 turns and i didnt use any supereffective attacks i wish they were as difficult as they were in the originals

You've found them to be easy? It was the other way around for me, haha; in my eyes, these two people were rather difficult.

Would any of us like to see another psychic-type Elite Four member at some point in future? I don't believe there are too many, aside from Will and the person from Black, White, Black 2, and White 2 (unfortunately, I can't exactly put my finger on her name, though, I do recall her being Frontier Brain in fourth generation of games).

As far as teams go, to have them seem a bit challenging, I'd likely give the person Alakazam and Espeon (alongside few other Pokémon), as they are quite difficult to beat; former would be playing as a sweeper of sorts, and take down our party members one-by-one if we don't manage to outrun. Latter would be blocking all non-damaging moves--Stealth Rock, for example--from their field thanks to Magic Bounce ability, and have them thrown to our side instead. With this combination, I could imagine the battle to be kind of difficult, which is good, considering that they would be an Elite Four.

Yeah sure! Psychic types were always one of the harder types to vs mainly because of their utility and special/mixed stats making them perfect for a E4 to specialise in.

He or she would have the previously mentioned pokemon of Alakazam and Espeon along with the psychics from each region. So maybe a Metagross or Gallade to cover the physical side while then using more unseen picks such as Sigilyph and Slowbro? They'd all cover each other up nicely and do pretty well even if the person controlling them is only an AI. Besides since they'd be the most powerful psychic trainer of the region, uniting the different psychics of each generation would be something that they'd probably do. (if she/he were to have a full team).

I think the only flaw I could see with introducing another specialist is that well... there's too many of them already. But considering GF has to incorporate 12 of 18/19 types into gym leaders or E4, I guess it's understandable and can be excused. I'm just worried that it'd be seen as overkill seeing as we've had Sabrina, Will, Tate and Liza, Lucian, Caitlin and maybe even a gen 6 specialist. That's almost every generation so it'd be nice to let psychic types sit on the sidelines for a while. However I will say that there should definitely be a new E4 in the future, just not at the moment.

Anyways welcome to the club im gonna start a new topic now so u may put input in on it if you'd like!
Which Psychic Types Deserve a mega evolution?
As usual I'll give my input later with pics and details and such but discuss!

Which Psychic Types Deserve a mega evolution?
I feel it'd be pretty cool if Espeon were to gain some mega-evolution of sorts, but that might be slightly difficult on their end, as they would likely have to come up with mega-forms for most other Eeveelutions for relativity and whatnot.

Aside from that, I would say Sigilyph. It's very much of an underrated Pokémon (competitively, it could perform outstandingly, but it rarely seems to get utilized), so if it were to gain a mega-evolution form, I believe it would have some chance to stand in the spotlight.

Alongside, one other Pokémon I'd like to see a mega for is Cresselia (if they do this, however, they would likely have to treat Darkrai the same way, due to similar reasons as Eeveelutions).
