Day 15: Favourite region in the Pokémon world

Sinnoh. I love the geography of the place, in that it actually feels like it has a proper geography, rather than just being a load of environments cobbled together connected by the same grassy routes (or water routes in Hoenn's case) that every other region feels like to me. Sinnoh is also what got me back into the franchise proper after the general lack of enthusiasm I suffered with the third generation titles, and formed the setting for what in my opinion is easily the best arc of the anime, so of course I'm going to think of the region as my favourite :3

  • Day 14: If you were a Gym Leader, what would be your specialty?
I would definitely be a type specialist Gym Leader, and I'd like to think that I could train with any type and be successful. I think I could put together a pretty good Water type team though, so I'd probably go with that if given the choice, even if it isn't my favorite type.

Day 15: Favourite region in the Pokémon world
I really want to like Sinnoh, since I found it had the most diverse settings in all of the games. It's just too bad that I didn't like a majority of the characters or the story, since I'd love to explore the region again, but just can be bothered to replay the games.

So by default, my vote goes to Hoenn. I've spent more time there than any other region (which is something considering we got Kanto four gens in a row), and I was happy when we saw its return in ORAS. Sure, I still think a little more could've been done to give the updated Hoenn more of a wow factor, but it was still nice to see it updated nonetheless.

  • 14. If you were a gym leader, what would be your specialty?
I've answered this in my previous question (oops) but I'd love to specialize in Dark-type Pokémon. Because I love old European buildings, I'd based my gym around a colosseum, having little light and what not. A castle-like gym would also be neat.

    15. Favourite Pokémon region
Definitely Unova, even though it's literally a circle it does have a diverse environment as mentioned. Plus, Scrafty. <3

Day 14 - If you were a Gym Leader, what would be your specialty?:

Normal-type Pokemon, definitely. I'd have a variety of them, with a wide variety of attacks to cover anything I can think of. A Persian and a Stoutland would be the cornerstones of my team, though I'm sure Audino or Porygon might appear more often.

Day 15 - Favorite Pokemon region:

Johto. I love all about Johto. From the various locations to the rich history that it has. I could live in Ecruteak City to study the story of the two towers, then hop over to Goldenrod for a night on the town. It's such a varied place with a lot more smaller towns than other regions, and there are more attractions that are different to participate in (Pokethon, Bug Contest).

  • Day 13: If you lived in the Pokémon World, what would you be? (eg. Trainer, Gym Leader, Breeder, Co-ordinator etc.)

Well, I never really did any co-ordinator stuff in the games. Since I never got a real interest in them, breeding was never my thing either. So I feel like the standard is most interesting to me. I would be a normal Trainer, that would be good enough.

Day 14: If you were a Gym Leader, what would be your specialty?

I feel like, having a water gym on docks and trees just floating in a lake, and it will be the test to get to the middle of that lake to me on the trees. I would have a bit of an addvantage being surronded by water, but I heard gym leader should be a challenge. So that would be a challenge.

Day 15: Favourite Region in the Pokémon World

I had many I liked, I still love the original Kanto one. I also love the design of Sinnoh. But when I have to decide on most memorable, I go with Johto. It has so much culture and legends to it, that I just can't not like it. I wished they did more stuff with this, legends and culture in Pokémon.

  • Day 16: If you could live anywhere in the Pokémon world, where would it be?

Definitely Fortree City in Hoenn! I love the feel of Fortree. It's a very laidback place and the people seem quite friendly too, and I love the concept of being so close to nature. I'd definitely have to keep fit as well, having to climb all those ladders and everything. Hopefully the novelty of it wouldn't wear off :P

If not Fortree, then I'd like to live in Ecruteak in Johto. I've mentioned it before but it's such a beautiful and historic city, and I'm sure it would have heaps of history and culture to explore.

I'm sure some may know this, but I'd definitely live in Humilau City in Unova. I love how it's a city that's set on water, with a beach and a very tranquil Gym. It's pretty much what I call a real paradise for a fan of Water Pokemon.

Snowpoint City. It's cold and isolated, sounds like my kind of place. It also has Candice, my favourite Sinnoh Gym Leader, and the Snowpoint Temple, so there is a little culture to the place as well. Not to mention the close proximity to Lake Acuity. It'd be an interesting place to live...and wouldn't have a summer probably. Count me in :3

Day 16: If you could live anywhere in the Pokémon world, where would it be?

Given that my first two choices (Fortree and Ecruteak) have already been mentioned, I'm going to go ahead and say Azalea Town. It's a quaint little town, that lives in harmony with nature like much of Johto, and is right next to Ilex Forest and the Forest Shrine, not to mention close to the National Park where I could go Bug-catching competitively every couple of days.

I'd say somewhere not too near the ocean, quiet, and a little more like a town, actually. I'm going with Oldale Town. It's so peaceful, it's somewhere tropical, and it has a nice flower garden at the center. I'm still not sure about this, because I'm sure there are LOTS of places like Oldale.

  • Day 17: What would you like a new Pokémon to be based on?

I'd loveeee to see a dolphin Pokémon. I've been waiting for one for ages, and I'm sure many other people have as well!

Apart from that, I think it'd be really cool to have a Water-type elephant Pokémon, focusing on the way they use their trunks with water. I remember I designed a Fakemon based on that concept a while ago and I quite liked it haha. There are a lot of cool animals that live in the Amazon that would be great as Pokémon too, like toucans and other different types of birds and mammals (that I can't remember right now lol).

Like what Josh said, a dolphin Pokemon is long overdue. With the region in Sun & Moon being based on Hawaii, it would make for the perfect opportunity to give us one.

Day 11: If you were a Pokémon, what would you be?
    - I'd love to be either a grass, psychic or ghost type

Day 12: Favourite Pokémon attack or move
    - Moves like flamethrower, thunderbolt, ice beam... they're powerful enough while still having 100% accuracy

Day 13: If you lived in the Pokémon world, what would you be? (eg Trainer, Gym Leader, Breeder, Co-ordinator, etc)
    - I've thought about this before and I think I'd probably be a professor. I'm more of a behind the scenes person and i love to study/learn.

Day 14: If you were a Gym Leader, what would be your specialty?
    - Grass types. i would have the cutest team that ever lived

Day 15: Favourite region in the Pokémon world
    - I think Hoenn... it at least has the most areas I would enjoy seeing

Day 16: If you could live anywhere in the Pokémon world, where would it be?
    - Thought about this one a lot but I've never been able to pick... all my picks tend to be port towns though so what does that say about me?

Day 17: What would you like a new Pokémon to be based on?
    - I've been into ghost types as of late. One based on a banshee would be awesome... knowing me there probably already is one but im too lazy to check

This is tough but I guess Mauville City. It's not in Unova but it's always been my rendezvous spot whenever I play Emerald. Also, it looks a lot better in ORAS and who wouldn't want to live in a mall?

    17. What would you like a new Pokémon to be based on?
It's hard to choose just one:

I can't be the only one who wants more Pokemon based off inanimate objects, am I? I actually kinda want a Pokemon based off a train, for all the inevitable Thomas the Tank Engine and Ivor jokes that would follow it...plus it'd be weird and wacky, and those are my favourite kinds of Pokemon :3

Your comment about Ghost-types reminds me - I'd also really like a Pokémon based on like a sheet ghost. Like you know how kids wear bedsheets as a ghost costume for Halloween? That concept would be cool imo

Ecruteak seems like a nice place to live. It's got a rich history, and a relaxed pace of living, which would be fine with me. It's also close enough to both Olivine and Goldenrod, if you're ever looking to travel or for something to do.

Living in Sootopolis would be quite the experience, too. I don't think it's somewhere I'd want to settle down, but it might be fun to live there for a year or two.

Day 17: What would you like a new Pokémon to be based on?
I'm not too picky when it comes to new Pokemon, but the first thing that came to mind was a peacock. Dunno if I'd actually use one if it happened, but I think a peacock could have the potential of being a very well-designed Pokemon.
