    "Bathtime for Eli"

It's bath day for Bear and Eli. After Bear finishes hers, it's time for Eli's. One small problem: Eli hates taking baths and tries to get out of taking it. Bear, however, tries to get him to take the bath, but fails. Will Eli ever get clean?

More Siamese cats with Ralphie. Still haven't thought of a name for the cat yet...

This is probably what SpongeBob would look like if I was working for Nickelodeon right now.

This one is supposed to be me as a cartoon. ^_^

Much more to come next time! ;)

Goodness, your work is so awesome. Bear and Eli are too adorable, they're probably my favorites so far.
I'd give you criticism, but this kind of art has no boundaries or standards in my mind.

I think the cat looks like a Lionel. :D

  • I think the cat looks like a Lionel. :D

I actually like that name! Lionel it is. ^_^

Again, thank you everyone for comments. I appreciate all of the nice things everyone says, but now and then a critique won't hurt. All it can do for any artist is to improve his/her work. :)

That said, I fund some old drawings for a Benny squirrel story I had in mind.

    "Smart-Alec-Kazam!"

Benny works at a "Guess-Your-Weight" stand at a carnival. He's not getting a lot of business, so when he sees an ad for a rabbit assistant to a much more popular magician, he takes full advantage of it! When he gets the job, Benny pretty much heckles the hapless magician until his "ears" fall off. Then the prognosticator gets even with the maniacal rodent!

Benny: Benny has a usually happy, up-beat persona. He may be a wee bit nuts, but he has brains and uses them to an advantage. Benny has lots of energy and heckles other people if there's a good reason for it or just for fun. Either way, Benny's one of the funnest characters I ever made and he'll be loads of fun to animate in the future.

    :)

  • Wow, all of these are very cute! I especially liked the one of Benny right after his "ears" fell off. Nice!

As for criticism, I really don't think I have anything that I could say... these are all so good! They could use a little color though...

  • Thanks for the comments, guys!

@Comet: I'd love to give you colored pics, but it's kind of hard since I'm having trouble coming up with colors for some characters, like Benny. I'm not sure whether to make him brown, gray, or red-orange or whatever. But I'll make a colored doodle asap. ^_^

Anyway, here are some new stories for y'all. (Two of them would be good for Halloween)

    9221_1169031264647_1193923933_30465948_3390314_n.jpg

    "Dr. Jerkyll and Mr. Ralph"

In this story, Lionel (the Siamese cat) is chasing Ralph in an apartment-like complex. Ralph makes his way inside a door that says "Dr. Jekyll" and tries to hide inside a bottle that says "Hyde Formula". This turns him into a Godzilla-like monster and pretty much scares Lionel out of his fur. Just when things turn out good for Ralph, he changes back to normal and the chase goes on. Just as the cat catches the mouse, Ralphie turns back into the monster. In the end we fin ut that Lionel was just dreaming and freaks out again when he sees Ralph in his normal form.

"One Flew Over the Monkey's Nest
    "
An acorn falls hits Benny's head hard enough to give him amnesia. This prompts him to actually start acting nice towards his nemesis, Gordon the monkey. Gordo likes the new squirrel at first, but when Benny starts popping up in random places in the monkey's house he finds Benny more annoying than before and pretty much loses his mind. This makes Gordo want to turn Benny back to normal, whatever it takes.

    "Eli's New Pet"

After Bear and Eli's "mother", Suzy, tells them about her getting a new puppy, Eli becomes disheartened because now he wants a pet of his very own. Felling sorry for him, Bear suggests they go to the pet store to look. They argue about whether to get a kitten or a puppy. When no one was looking, all the animals escape and it's up to Bear and Eli to get them back to the store. In the end, Bear surprises Eli with a brand new puppy.

  • You have some really adorable characters here with a wide spectrum of comical and heartwarming emotions. Perhaps you should try drawing bigger and on unlined paper. Cleaning up your lineart would be nice too, either through inking or practicing a light touch to initial sketches and gradually building your final up.

I'd really like to see some coloured pieces too. Keep it up!

These are drawings of Lionel, Ralph, Benny, and an idea I had for a slap-happy ghost named Spooky Cookie, the cartoon ghost of Harry Carray.

I really, really love it when artists put expression into their artwork, it gives it a lively personality and a style that only the artist possesses. That's what I really love about cartoon art/styles, they are loose and you can do alot with them, and yours has such a pristine, expressive quality to it.
I adore what you've posted up here so far, keep on drawing; you have a lot of potential!

  • I've only watched Jeff Dunham once, but it was pretty fun to watch. I love your Achmed. SHUT UP! I KILL YOU! Man, they're all awesome in your style.

And yay, you drew the Looney Tunes! Gotta love the classics!

I love how you base your style on the older slapstick cartoons. Those were the days, indeed.

And, yes, it would be fun to see all your drawings in color.

  • Sorry I've been gone, I was ignoring the art gallery for some reason. Anyways, I absolutely adore all of your new drawings, and it was cool to see all of your characters in color. Yippe!
Also, I think that the song you picked out makes a perfect match. Nice find!
