I'd say maybe some kind of druid. That'd be pretty interesting I think, and something that hasn't really been in the games so far. Old people with flowing green robes and lots of pokémon like Carnivine and Tangrowth. Maybe they could be found deep in forests in overgrown areas or something.

I like this idea, actually. Might have to implement it into my fangame.

Hey, I really like the idea of having a druid. It kinda goes hand in hand with my witchdoctor idea, in a sense that we could have more mystical, magical trainer classes. Thanks for adding on to my little idea, whether intentional or not.

Hey guys! Can I ask you what you think about Rowlet?

I LOVE IT! I don't even wanna see his evolution, I love it the way it is!
I kinda have the vibe of a future Ash's Pokemon.
    Are you TeamRowlet?

And what do you think about a new grass type move that the Pokemon can learn at the begging o the game (so a weak attack) ?

Hey guys! Can I ask you what you think about Rowlet?
    Spoiler:
    Spoiler:

It is an adorable starter Pokemon that seems to be based on a baby owl. I think it will either become a Grass/Flying type considering it is based on an owl or Grass/Fairy as it is an little seen typing, currently only the Cottonee line have that typing. Also the Fire starter looks like it might be Fire/Dark by the end so it might be there to counter it.

It has a cute design and the leafs design on him fit into its typing. I wonder what it's evolutions will look like.

Create a Grass Type Trainer Class

I could see a Flower Girl class working very well. The class would look similar to Aroma Ladys but would have longer hair and carry flowers. Similar to Furisode Girls they would come in different palette swaps so you could have blonde flower girls, brunette flower girls and so on.

They would use Pokemon based on flowers like Lilligant and Vileplume. With there being different designs of Flower Girls they could tie into the Grass Gym Leader of the region or even be the 'Amazon Brigade' of the region's villainous team.

Hey guys! Can I ask you what you think about Rowlet?

I knew even before they were revealed that I was going to pick the Grass starter, but I'm super pleased with how Rowlet looks! I think it's the best looking of the new starters and even if I didn't have my Grass bias I would have chosen him.

I'm going to try to avoid spoiling his evolutions for myself so that they can be a surprise in-game, but I don't know if I'll be able to resist!

Create a new Trainer class for the Grass Type.
    Romantic Couple
A nicely dressed couple out for a romantic evening. They're carrying bouquets that they gifted to each other.

They would do double battles, and use flowery pokemon. Expect a lot of Roselia and Roserade.

Maybe they could also be found alone as Romantic Boy or Romantic Girl, where they'd challenge the player as their way of asking them out on a date >.>

Rowlet is already a Grass/Flying confirmed, so IMO it's gonna stay like this. But I really like the grass fairy idea!

To be perfectly honest, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about Rowlet yet. Until I see a final evolution, I'm not sure I'd be willing to pick him. It is cool that he's grass/flying in the first stage and I'm usually willing to go for most grass-type starters anyways. On a different note, I will say that the legendary from Moon looks incredible! Can't wait for it!

Any thoughts on Rowlet's name origins/meaning? I mean, the owl/owlet part is pretty obvious, but how (if at all) does it tie in to the Grass type?

And another Grass specialist trainer class:
    Mycologist
(or Mushroom Picker or Mushroomer or Mushroom Hunter or... you get the idea)

Men and women dressed for hiking: Boots, thick socks, cargo shorts/pants, plaid shirt, walking stick, maybe a vest with pockets. The male versions could be scruffy-looking with a stubbly beard, and the female version would have her hair in a simple ponytail.

They would specialize in (you guessed it) mushroom Pokemon. Paras, Parasect, Shroomish, Breloom, Foongus, and Amoonguss. Plus any new fun guys(hoohoohoo) that might get added.

I'm just really chapped that we finally got a Gardener class in XY, and they all ended up using Corphish. So I'd also like to change Gardeners into specialists that use any and all Grass type Pokemon.

I read that there is speculation due to reading the game's code, that Rowlet may lose his Flying type upon evolution, and gain a secondary Ground-type. I personally hope that's not the case, but given the possibility, the "R" may come from "root".

So Greenthumbs wouldn't use any dual-types? That's pretty nifty. I don't know of any other type-specialists that explicitly do that, so it's a nice unique trait.

As for Rowlet's name, I've also heard that the "R" might just come from "round", since he is after all a round owlet.

I'm with you on hoping Rowlet stays Grass/Flying though. But I've decided to look on the bright side no matter the outcome. Either we get a cool Grass/Flying final evolution, or the Rowlet line becomes the first starter line to change type partway through, thereby making the Grass type more unique.

EDIT: Also, welcome to the Garden!

Hey there, I'm back! I hope you don't mind if I start a new topic.

New Topic: Create a grass-type elite four/champion/gym leader. What's their name, what do they look like, and what's their personality?

I would create a girl league champion named Terra. She has short green hair with a flower braided into it and she wears a green and black skirt with a matching green shirt. She's a quiet person off the battlefield, but when she's battling people she's super passionate. Her main partner is a Sceptile (naturally :) ).

I'd create a champion named Rosa whose main party member would be Shaymin. Her team would consist of the following:
*A Freshly Scented Garden* Grass-type Club
*A Freshly Scented Garden* Grass-type Club
*A Freshly Scented Garden* Grass-type Club
*A Freshly Scented Garden* Grass-type Club
*A Freshly Scented Garden* Grass-type Club
*A Freshly Scented Garden* Grass-type Club

She'd have long, curly, light brunette hair, and be relatively young compared to the rest of the Elite Four. As for clothes, probably a white sundress with flower patterns, or -to go in a completely opposite direction- a green flannel shirt, sandals and jeans.

    Welcome to the Club. :)

In the Kanto Games in Erika's Gym there was an Ace Trainer (Mary) who specialised in Grass Types. She was also likely the first Ace Trainer the player faced. I like your Greenthumb idea. I can see them inflicting lots of paralysis and using Quiver Dance to boost the stats of one particular Pokemon.

Create a Grass Elite Four Type Member

    Name: Marie

Appearance - In fitting with the soft image of her party she would have brown hair in a bob with a Flower and wear a long green dress and white glasses. Basically an Elite Aroma Lady.

Personality - Calm and Serene. She reveals she became a Pokémon trainer and specialises in Grass Types as her husband works away a lot and she likes the Calming nature of Grass Types.

Elite Four Room - A serene room with a beautiful flower display with Pokémon such as Lilligant helping out to keep tidy.

Any story significance? - Aroma Ladys in the region will mention how they wish to be like Marie and Gardeners (Who will be younger than their Kalos designs and use exclusively Grass Types) will speak of sending fan mail to one of the Elite Four.

Anything else - Before battling she takes off her glasses.

Pokemon Team - Vileplume, Ludicolo, Breloom, Lilligant, Sawsbuck, Mega Meganium.

I guess I should start a new topic:

Is Leafeon your favorite Eeveelution? Why or why not?

Personally I have to say I'm not too fond of her. Glaceon had a much nicer design in my opinion, and my favorite of all time simply has to be Jolteon (even though the one I use the most in game is probably Flareon due to the scarcity of Fire-types in pretty much every game).

    What do you all think?

Is Leafeon your favorite Eeveelution? Why or why not?

When Leafeon was first introduced, I found its design kind of plain, but it has grown on me a lot since then.

As for whether it's my favourite or not... Tough to say. Since I'm not into the competitive scene, I neither know nor care about stats and all that, so all I can judge by is design and typing.

I'd definitely rank Leafeon in my top three Eeveelutions, alongside Flareon and Umbreon.
Flareon gets a lot of points for it floof factor. Floofiness is delightful.
Umbreon is very sleek and has glow-in-the-dark rings, and I'm a sucker for glowy.
And Leafeon of course gets points for being Grass type. And as I said, its design grew on me. I like the disheveled, semi-wild look it has going on.

Which maybe doesn't solidly answer the question, but there we have it.

    Is Leafeon your favorite Eeveelution?

My favourite Eeveelution is not Leafeon although I do like its design. It is one of those Pokémon which I rarely use as it's place is normally taken by another Grass Type such as Sceptile, Roserade or Lilligant on a usual playthrough.

Indeed in my Grass Monotypes it has never kept a place as my team has been made up of Pokemon which I find easier to use (Such as Lilligant) or bring something to the table that Leafeon does not (Such as the Fighting Moves of Breloom). Another reason is the sometimes difficulty in finding the Moss Rock. (In XY it is very late game and post game in B2W2.)

That's not to say I dislike Leafeon. It has an attractive design which matches it's type well and can fit either Gender. It's Shiny form however is underwhelming.

Incidentally my favourite Eeveelution is Sylveon with Leafeon coming in 4th after the Mermaid like Vaporeon and cat like Espeon.

    My thought about Leafeon?

Well, I love it!! I can't decide about my favorite eeveelution, but I know Leafeon is in there! I think my favorite is Jolteon, and it's a tie between Glaceon and Leafeon for second place. I love Flareon too! <3 It was my favorite back in gen 1. But he lacks a good moveset :( That's why he's in 4th place.

I really like Flareon's desing, and I love the mveset Grass Whistle (better before gen6) or Attract (I use this move a lot), Sword Dance Leaf Bladeand quick attack (we never know) that's how I do my Leafeon!

To be perfectly honest, Leafeon isn't my favorite. My two favorite Eeveelutions are Jolteon and Umbreon, in terms of design. I actually prefer both of them from a competitive standpoint as well. Just my personal opinion, I'm not super big on Eeveelutions anyways.

Who is your favourite Grass Pokémon and why is it so special to you?

My favourite Grass-type Pokémon is Lilligant. It has an adorable design and is a Pokémon being either elegant and regal or adorably childlike depending on its personality. Whilst it's Shiny form could perhaps be more markedly different to its regular Colour scheme the lighter green colouring with the pink flower is cute and feminine and I own a Shiny Lilligant called Jessica that I caught in Alpha Sapphire.

Whilst Lilligant does not have the deepest movepool she has two excellent abilities in Chlorophyll and especially Own Tempo which tie in with its main move Petal Dance. Petal Dance and Giga Drain can be very effective with Quiver Dance. She also is an all female species which considering her very feminine appearance all Lilligant being female makes sense.

Who is your favourite Grass Pokémon and why is it so special to you?

For the longest time, I would have said Bulbasaur. He was my first ever Pokémon, and he's a super cutie. He'll always be near the top, but he's not quite the peak anymore.

    That honour is now Roserade's.

While Roserade's design is inspired by masquerade ball dancers, she's always reminded me of superheroes. I say she because, even though they can be either gender, I prefer females for their longer cape. Strange reason, maybe, but it's that flowing cape alongside the mask that really give the superhero vibe.

Alpha Sapphire was the first time I made an effort to nickname my main team, and I'm proudest of the name I gave my Roserade: Barbara.
    Here's why:
The mask, the cape, the exposed "hair". She's very capable in battle, and the Dex mentions how she moves like a dancer.
    She's basically Batgirl.
Okay, so Barbara Gordon was a gymnast, not a dancer, but that's close enough for me!
And the ribbon on top? It's a pun, too! Barbara. Barb, like a rose's thorn.
It's the perfect name. So I named my Grass Club Budew after that Roserade.

And speaking of, I have enough likes to evolve my Budew!

...I couldn't find an english version.

My favorite grass type Pokemon.....SCEPTILE! The Forest Pokemon.
Sceptile is just an awesome guy who is calm, cool, and, collected.
He has well rounded stats including a crazy speed stat, A wide movepool that allows for both physical and special sets, and a really great design with aspects from dragons.
It is just an awesome Pokemon and my favorite grass type.
