Download.com is doing a special for the 10th anniversery of Opera. Between 12:00AM Pacific DST on August 30th and 12:00AM Pacific DST on August 31, you can register Opera for free.

Anyone else going to take advantage of this?

Actually, I've never been too thrilled with Opera. It's always been slow for me. =/

I'm going to email CNet about this. I'm understanding from this that it's a full fledged registration, but you have to do it within the 24 hours of the offer. That's how they've worded it, anyway.

Well, I've been chating with someone on Skype that says that it could mean a one-day license. I see it as being a full license, though.

Honestly, Opera is pretty cool ^^; Nothing that screamed "USE ME OVER FIREFOX!" But, nonetheless very nice browser :)

I really love Opera. I just really don't like the ads and the UI. If they can tweak the UI to be more like Firefox somewhat, I'll switch.

I'm sure there's a Firefox theme on Opera's site.

UI stands for "User Interface". It's the browser's current "theme", if you will.
