[Question] Advance In-Game Clock Through Various Actions?

Hello, I've been dabbling in map editing for ages, but finally want to put pen to paper, so to speak.

I'd like to create a hack in which the player has 7 in-game days to defeat the Pokemon League (Pokemon meets Majora's Mask), and want to tie various actions to the clock. E.g. a trainer battle is a flat 15 minutes, plus 1 minute for each turn. Is this feasible in FireRed or Emerald, or is it better to work with Essentials? Thanks in advance for the time and help!

You can do it in Essentials using Unreal Time. Stop the time (using the switch) and edit Battle script to call the methods to advance in time.
