  • I thought it'd be nice if I made a place to keep all of my works online, so I decided to create this thread.

I do want you guys to know that I won't be pumping out insane amounts of poems or anything, since everything I write tends to come from the very bottom of my soul. I will post whenever I write a new poem, though!

  • This poem was inspired a bit by Alice in Chains' song Nutshell.

    "You and I"
I wish I could have been something better
    A being without thorns inside
Yet here I stand, all alone in misery
With no one to cry to, no place to reside

My soul is a pit of darkness
    And my heart is black
And it beats a deep purple
When it's reminded of your acts

    Sometimes the blackness is overwhelming
    And it consumes my mind
And my heart starts bleeding out
    These deep velvet rinds

    The pain is unbearable
    It's hard to even think
But when the thought of you is brought
    My heart ceases to sink

You tell me how good of a person I am
How I could do no wrong
And in reality all I see
    Is this pulsing one-note song

  • "Innocence"
You tell me the sorts of lies
Of which have yet to be spoken
    And claim truth and validity
    While I sit, remaining broken

Oh how I'd love to believe
    That you're an unsoiled doll
    But really, in all honesty,
    You're more of toyish apall

    In frankness, you are truthful
    Around me, it seems
You are true to me in full,
But to yourself I am unsure

Why do you keep such secrets from me?
Do I not deserve to know?
What did I do or refrain to do
To make you so afraid to show?

    I know your reality,
    and it doesn't bother me
It's all a part of who you are
Which I am accepting of in glee.

I trust your integrity, your honesty
And believe that you are aware
    Of the things you're doing to me;
They give me a little scare.

    All I ask of you—
    Besides your companionship—
Is that you tell me the real truth
    Because I will not forget.

  • This one got a little of its fervor from Let It Be by The Beatles. :3

    "Wisdom in Bliss"
In spite of all my misfortunes
And the tolls my mind had seen
I look back in a blissful daze
And realize how wonderful it is to be

Before my heart beat an inky black
And when I feel my heart, it beats a scarlet
Wonderful it feels to be alive and conscious
My pinkish veins beat out like Charlotte

When I look into my daily actions
I see the desire to be gentle, caring
Oh how I'd love to just drift away
    Isn't that quite daring?

I'd love to just sit and think
    Bathing in this wonderful haze
Seeing if a useful thought runs by
And brings me out of this daze

Everyone seems to tell me to love and care
And oh I'd love to with thirst
But no one tells me to let it be
Which I'd like to do first
