    So is it legal to have an alt account, or do you have to have some sort of special permission or reason?

    • It's perfectly fine to have an alt, as long as you're not pretending to be someone else with it or if it's being used to evade a ban.

    Alts are fine. Lots of people have them. Even some of the staff have them, although the main reason why people have alts is to have a different name or want to start again. Alts can't be used for sockpuppeting (pretending to be someone else) and evading bans (pretty obvious).
