Well, isn't this something?
It's been quite a while since I was an active member of this forum, and since thoughts of the future turned me to times of old, I decided to give this place a visit to see how things are going. It seems the last time I visited the forum was over a year ago now, and since I was an active poster even before that. But I'm posting here in the hope that some of those from the old days are still around and can help me relive some memories.
Many of you many not know me, but I was once a moderator of the Fourth Generation Gaming forum (back then known as Diamond/Pearl/Platinum forum) and had a whale of a time doing it. It was a fantastic supplement to my high school years and I will always cherish that time. I like to think I was not only a benevolent moderator but also a skilled one, and my time came to an end not through my own will. College got in the way and my time for the forum waned. Still, in the later years I donated to the forum and became a supporter due to the affinity I had for this place.
Since then, I have finished college and graduated University and moved out of my parent's home, a journey that has taken me from the Midlands of England to Glasgow in Scotland, moving in with my girlfriend of two years. I am currently in part-time work, but actively looking for a full-time job in my chosen field, which should hopefully make 2014 a key year for me.
Pokémon has been an active part of my life, ever since I picked up the original games in primary school, right through to my early adult life (I am twenty-two in a couple of months), and has been a constant for me. Not only are the games fabulously in-depth RPGs, they allow me to take a slice of my childhood and relive it in all its glory; a small slice of heaven that allows me to slink away from the responsibilities of adult life. Not that my adult life is bad, you understand, far from it, but I love both lives equally in different ways.
So, I hope to be visiting more. If you remember me, send me a message talking of your fondest memories. If you're a member of the forum who was after my time, message me anyway! I love to hear from new people, so don't be shy. I don't bite, honest....
