  • Lady Gaga's new single 'Applause' was released a few days ago, and shortly after, so was the lyric video and today the music video was released. Do you think Applause is a hit? One of Gaga's best? Worst? What do you think of the increased amount of sex appeal and, as usual, unorthodox fashion styles and choices made in the video?

  • At first I didn't like the song much, but after listening to it a couple of times I can say that its a really good song. I like the beat. Do I think its one of her best? No. I don't think she should have chose this song as a single tbh, but I do like it. As for the video, not a fan of it. I think it could have been much better.

But I am super happy to see Gaga back n_n

I really love this song and I have waited patiently for this video to be released. I didn't know what to expect..then again did anyone? I will say though I was really pleased with this and I think is one of her best! I was outraged at the comments that were saying that this video was awful.

  • I don't think it's her best either and I agree it shouldn't be a single, as I'm positive that she has better material somewhere else on ARTPOP, but I do love the song now. It sounded terrible to me at first, but then again I was sitting smack dab in the middle of YogurtLand listening to it on the lowest volume, haha! Anyway, I'm in love with the video for how 'out there' it is, but I'm unimpressed with how rushed and unpolished it seems. I love what she's done with it, though, but I'm kind of bias since I love everything she does.

The music video was absolutely horrible. I don't like it at all, but I do like some of her looks she had during it.

The song, I'm not sure how I feel about it. Its a total earworm and I think it has an interesting sound. But then again, everything DJ White Shadow produces tends to have interesting sounds.

  • GAGA FOREVER! I LOVE HER! The music video was incredible! The song was incredible! It's so nice that she's picking up right where she left off before her injury! She's so amazing! :D

  • At first, I didn't really like the song. But after a while, it just stuck to me, and now I catch myself just putting it on repeat all day lol. I agree that it's not the best song she's come out with, but it's just refreshing to see her back in action after what happened to her.

As for the music video, ehhhhhh, not sure what to think... it's definitely not her best. I feel like it's kinda dull and doesn't give off that true 'Gaga' feeling that her music videos usually give off.. maybe I'm the only one who feels that way. It's not bad, but it's not her best. I personally prefer the little video that came along with the lyric video better than this actual music video, but whatever. Not trying to bash Gaga because she's amazing. ♥

I think this song sums up her career pretty well, she loves the applause and the attention.

The song is catchy, but it's not something that'll last long. I feel like it's only doing so well at the moment before of her hype and devoted fans. It's an alright song, but nothing special - quite generic, unlike some of her songs (Speechless?).

The music video... don't really care for it. As usual it's a lot of weird things that don't really mean anything (spliced with some scenes of weird dancing, with a horde of people). It feels the same as all her BTW-era videos (BTW, whatever the one with the mermaid was, etc.).

I'm over the Gaga hype, but I'm sure there will be one or two songs I like. Not enough to buy the album though.

Wow! You're a meanie! In an interview she even addressed what you said. She said that she doesn't mean that she loves attention by applause, she lives to make her fans happy by applause. So yeah, words straight from Mother Monster's mouth mister! XD

People just get freaked out because of how far she's will to push the boundaries and be creative.

Most Gaga music videos are just thinly-veiled softcore porn; this was one of them. I didn't mind the song too much and the music video is no We Can't Stop (seriously what the hell). I can't say I dislike it, but it doesn't sound or feel big enough to be a comeback single.

I liked Roar more, although to be honest only really because it ripped off a really good Sara Bareilles song.

  • Videos aren't a big thing for me, I'm only going to watch them once so what difference does it make? But it was just a standard Gaga video.

The song was pretty average, I'm a bit worried about ARTPOP if that's worthy of being a lead single.

I'm slowing starting to like it, and I've always thought Lady Gaga is sexy so just like the nudity in that strange yoga video recently, anything of her almost or completely nude is fine with me!

  • If music was judged without consideration of the appearance, character/personality, ect. Essentially, if we were just given a headphone and asked, "what do you think?"

I would say, "This song sounds fairly generic. I am not terribly interested to hear more from this singer. Though, it wasn't the worse thing I have ever heard."

  • I love the song. I live for the applause as well. But I'm not touching the video. Not because of what I've heard, but because I'm generally never a fan of music videos, no matter who they're by. All I know about this one is...Lady Gagoose. What.

Oh God. I've heard meaner. You'll be okay.
