We've actually had debates about this recently :')
But as a general rule anything that fits one of these four (or more) categories we'll count
- a background scene
- props
- particularly in-depth shading and highlights
- animation

Midweek Madness - Statistics!

As we start our second week of GT, I'd just like to share some neat stats so far from the Art Grind! Note that these are intentionally censored, the black bars do exist to hide more specific statistics like who has done what and how many pieces, etc.

• In total, the players combined have created art worth 585 points throughout the first week-- and 47 gifts so far!!
• Everyone is guaranteed to get at least one piece of art!
• There has been more fully rendered pieces, but colored/shaded art has been taking the overall popularity vote!
• There are still people who have not sent us their swaps; gentle reminder that in order to get participation posts, you need at least one piece of art submitted!

I'd suggest looking into a cheap tablet if you want to be able to draw more like you normally would while still doing more digital work. Granted, some people are actually crazy enough to do all their art with a mouse.

Art Swap - Results

The Art Swap is now complete and the grind is over. Well done to everyone that participated. This event truly exceeded our wildest expectations and it was so much fun seeing all the amazing art pouring in over these two weeks. The scoring for the event is as follows:

Third: Kitty (Gears) with 280 pts - 50 GT pts
Second: gimmepie (Apricorns) with 300 pts - 100 GT pts
First: Cherrim (Apricorns) with 355 pts - 150 GT pts

And for the achievements:

Complete the most art for other people: Cherrim - 10 GT pts
Be the first to complete a fully-rendered piece: Cherrim - 10 GT pts
Submit only fully-rendered pieces (at least 3): Mersie - 15 GT pts (Gears)
Receive the most art: Cherrim - 5 GT pts

Additionally, of the 16 participants, there were eight people for each team earning each team 80 participation points. This means that the final totals for each team were 355 points for Apricorns and 145 for Gears. Congrats on winning Cherrim and Apricorns! You can check out the stats in the image below.

also I aimed to do one for everybody but couldn't make it in time ;; for what it's worth for the three I missed, I did draw at least 50% of it but then my program crashed and I didn't feel like drawing the same thing again immediately but I did not have time to circle back lmao
