    ~Baton Pass
    ~Tail Glow
    ~Cosmic Power

    Volbeat@ Salac Berry
    +Speed,-Atk EVs evenly split HP/Def/Speed
    ~Light Screen
    ~Baton Pass
    ~Tail Glow
    ~Silver Wind

    Volbeat has better base stats, but Smeargle has Spore....

    use these sets if you plan on passing anything:

    Smeargle@ Salac
    ~Endure
    ~Spore
    ~Tail Glow
    ~Baton Pass

    Volbeat@ Lefties
    ~Confuse Ray/Ice Punch
    ~Thunder Wave
    ~Tail Glow
    ~Baton Pass

    Volbeat would pass more SpAtk but, suceed less often and Smeargle would pass +2 SpAtk and +1 Speed nearly everytime but, would rarely be able to do better.

    IMO this is the best SpAtK passer:

    celebi@ Lefties
    ~Baton Pass
    ~Calm Mind
    ~Recover
    ~Psychic/HP: Grass

    You get a nearly guaranteed 3-4 Calm Minds passed every single time

    celebi has better defense stats which allows it to pass more CM's

    =/ well the amount of +SpAtk you pss is more importan than the move

    Calm mind also passes SpDef which is neat

    • i say for volbeat: max hp evs, and split defs 1/2 with natue + sp def sincce it only has 1 sp def weakness: fire. light screen, reflect, tail glow, baton pass

    • In terms of non-uber and survival, wouldn't Mr. Mime technically be better than the two, or is my judgment really off?

    =P celebi isn't uber

    as for your question Mr. Mime would be better in some cases where as the other two can be good in some situations also

    Most likely Celebi is the best SA baton passer. It's faster than Smeargle, and has a wayyyy better chance of surviving. Not to mention that Celebi can use the calm minds for it self, can pass physically too, use recover, and has a max of 404 hp. :cool:
