Thanks to the efforts of jdthebud, molivious, and waters_echo, I now have an idea of what could be used in gen 1 and 2, where there is no double battle stuff to support. In gens 1 and 2 you are free to be very loose with interperting this rule. Basically look for a way to make support happen, be creative if you're gonna play those games.

I'll switch out Blaziken for Infernape, I guess. Thanks for The info anyways! :D

I already started the challenge. I hacked the ROM to change the wild encounters on Route 103 in order to obtain my whole team at level 2-4 and 5 for Cyndaquil.

Progress:
-Chose Torchic as first Pokémon, named it Starter
-Beat May on Route 103
-Caught Eevee (Company), Machop (Mattathias), Cyndaquil (Light) and Delibird (Santa) and ran out of Pokéballs while trying to catch a Tauros
-Stored Starter in the PC
-Moved through Petalburg Woods to Rustboro City
-Bought 20 Pokéballs and walked back to Route 103
-Caught a Zigzagoon on the go (named it Fielder)
-Caught a Staryu (Spin Time!) and a Tauros (Roastbeef)

For now this is what I have in mind, but considering this team is very weak to Water, I am subject to change one or more of these before I begin. Nevertheless, let's still go for it.

By Light of Fire: Lucia the Magmortar. The name is based on Finnish/Swedish folklore, where the taught of Lady Lucia is seen as light for the winter's darkness. We celebrate Lucia's day 13th Dec.

Spin the Dreidal: Yom Tov the Starmie. The name is based on Hebrew translation of "Good Days" meaning Christmas times

Maccabee: Alexandra the Hippowdon. Name is based on a Maccabee named Alexandra.

Coming together: Beethoven the Glaceon. Name is based on Beethoven the St. Bernard from the movie Beethoven.

That Not-Jewish Friend: Santa the Rhyperior. Name is based on.. well, Mr. Santa Claus himself!

Feast of Dedication: Feaster the Farfetch'D. Name is a mix from words feathers and feast.

So now you know what's the backround of the team, next up the Update...

- Did the starting jib-jab and started my adventure.
- Since Farfetch'D isn't available until post-game, I hacked Feaster in at Sandgem Town/Beach
- Got to Jubilife City and beat my rival, who I named Santa C ( oh clever me...)
- Got to Oreburgh City and win my 1st Badge
- Headedon to Floaroma town and Valley Windworks
- Beat Team Galactic Admin Mars at the Valley Windworks
- Got joined by Cheryl at Eterna Forest
- Met Cynthia, got HM01 Cut
- Beat Gardenia and got my 2nd Gym Badge
- Beat Team Galactic Admin Jupiter at the Eterna City Hideout
- Headed down to Hearthome City and met my Mom
- If I had played Platinum Version, I could have gotten an Eevee from Bebe. And since Eevee is post-game in Pearl, hacked Beethoven in, as Bebe's Eevee.
- Got to Solaceon Town and headed onwards
- Got to Veilstone City and did some shopping in Veilstone Mall
- Caught Alexandra the Hippopotas from the Ruin Maniac Cave
- Again, if I had played Platinum, I could've gotten a Rhyhorn in Route 214, but since that's not possible in Pearl, I had to Hack Santa the Rhyhohrn in my party
- Beat Maylene and got my 3rd gym badge
- Lucia evolved into Magmar, going to have to hackvolve her into Magmortar
- Arrived to Pastoria City
- Saved my progress

Used my random generator as usual to pick my team because I am a very indecisive person… but forgot to take HMs into account and am missing three :/ I don't like using HM slaves for this type of challenge because I feel like I'm cheating (even though I don't think I saw anything about not using them) and I hate the inconvenience of using the box all the time, but I also don't really want to go through the process of re-drawing my team so… I don't know.

I'll figure it out tomorrow.

I'm posting this more for me than y'all, haha. But this is what my team is gonna look like:

Chandelure is pretty close to being a menorah, so I'm going with it. Same with Claydol, as it is a top, ie. a dreidal. The Maccabees were a rebel army and Haxorus looks like it would have walked out of an army itself, plus it's base attack is over 110. Audino helps people and is pink. I like pink. Sudowoodo is tree-based and since it's so strange, it suits the "non-Jewish" thing since it's kind of the odd man out. Lilligant would be a tasty salad. You know me. Gotta fit in Petilil/Lilligant somehow. :P

I hope to start this tomorrow, btw. Trying to move my boyfriend's stuff off White 2 into Bank, but it doesn't want to connect for some reason.

Starter: Tepig

• Started with Tepig, then quickly caught Feast the Pidgey on Route 1.
• After meeting and beating N, I moved on to Striaton City, defeating Bianca along the way.
• Beat the trainers in the Dreamyard, then defeated Cheren in the Trainer's School.
• The first gym was a Rotation Battle against Cress. I had to faint my other Pokémon in battle, and Feast barely survived to win.
• Directly after the battle, Feast evolved into Pigeotto!
• Moved on to Route 3, where I caught Dreidel the Phanpy, then saved a Pokémon from Team Plasma.
• Got the Fishing Rod as thanks, so I went back into Wellspring Cave and caught Acu the Tentacool.
• Continued on to Nacrene Town, then went to the outside of Pinwheel Forest.
• After many shaking encounters, I finally got Chimchar to appear, which I caught and named Torch.
• Trained Torch up on the trainers there, and he evolved into Monferno right away. I then defeated N in front of the museum.
• Took on the gym, and Lenora was a double battle, and very tough - it took my whole team to win even with higher levels.
• Team Plasma showed up and stole the Dragon Skull, so I went to Pinwheel Forest to recover it.
• While I was beating the Team Plasma Grunts, Dreidel evolved into Donphan!
• Eventually recovered the Dragon Skull, and then crossed the bridge to Castelia City.
• Beat the dancers for the Amulet Coin, then saved.
