  • Iron Legs: Increases the power of leg-based moves by the same percentage as Iron Fist.

    Frost Body: Causes the attacker to Freeze when in-contact.

    Reserve Dimension: Activates Trick Room once the user is sent out and, like weather abilities, stays for 5 turns.

  • This looks fun! Some of the Abilities listed above look like they would be pretty broken, so I'll try my best to keep mine as competitive-friendly as possible.


    Sensitive: Doubles Sp. Attack when affected by Taunt or Encore. Sp. Attack goes back to normal when the effect of those moves wears off, or if the Pokemon is switched out.


    Slow Down: Decreases by two stages the Attack of any Pokemon that uses a priority move on the Pokemon with this ability. The Attack drop occurs after the move causes damage.


    Veteran Scout: When a Pokemon with that ability is sent out, it is alerted of the opposing Pokemon's highest and lowest stats. Outside of battle, it gives a 50% chance of encountering a wild Pokemon with at least one perfect IV.


    Vitaminosis: When a Pokemon with that ability is sent out, its Typing changes depending on the Berry it is holding. Its Typing immidiately goes back to normal if the Berry is consumed, or lost. If given a different kind of Berry during battle as a result of a move, its Typing changes accordingly.

  • Death Fists - Fighting-type Pokemon have their punching moves below 100 base power increased by 60%.

    Mind Power - When the opposing Pokemon faints, your Pokemon's Special Attack rises 1 stage (like Moxie, but with Special Attack).

    Enraging Power - When you have only 1 Pokemon left, all of it's stats rise 2 stages.

    Miffed Emotions - When Taunt, Torment, or Swagger is used on your Pokemon, your Attack rises by 3 stages, and the move doesn't affect you.

  • Smooth Skin - The pokemon is immune to water-typed attacks.

    Wide-Eyes - Infatuates pokemon of the opposite gender when made to flinch.

    Helium - The pokemon's weight is halved and it levitates. It takes double damage from fire-type attacks.

    Conceited - Gains +1 special defence whenever an opponent faints.

  • Bloated Ego - Every time this Pokemon gets hit with a Super Effective move and takes less than 30% of its HP in damage, all of its stats are raised by one stage. In the field, if this pokemon is your lead pokemon, you will not encounter the pokemon Zubat. *shot*

    Status Reverse: Effects of status conditions are reversed (Burn, Paralysis and Poison)
    Optimist: Doubles Attack and Special Attack when HP is below 25%
    Baby Power: Stats are double.

  • Vitality Boost - Moves like Hyper Beam no longer have a recharge time (honestly, would like to see Vital Spirit get re purposed into something like this)
    Icy Armor - Lowers Fighting/Rock effectiveness on Icy Types (kinda like Thick Fat)
    Time Flux - Moves like Razor Wind and Future Sight no longer have a charge time, Prioirty moves are reversed, and slower Mons go faster (Kind of like a more indepth Trick Room in the form of an ability)
    "Normal STAB is Stronger Ability" - I couldn't think of a name for it.. basically Normal types need some actual love I feel, and not having anything super effective to attack is a bit of a downer.

  • Conservative:
    Items the Pokemon is holding get to be used twice, guaranteed. (Focus Sash will let you live with 1HP twice, balloon won't pop on first hit but the 2nd, etc.)

    Insanity:
    Pokemon enters a battle with boosted attack and special attack, but will start confused every switch-in.

  • Awkward:
    Pokemon is really awkward. Sharply boosts Evasiveness and Speed, but lowers its Defense.

    Glitch:
    Alters time and space itself. Randomly affects the stats of all Pokemon on field.

    Ugly:
    Pokemon is very ugly. Harshly drops accuracy of opponent. Has small chance of confusing opponent if hit.

    Gravitation - Summons Gravity automatically when this pokemon enters into the battlefield (infinite for Gen IV-V, 5-8 turns for Gen VI) (similar to drought etc.)

  • Fire Charge:
    When burned, the Pokemon will double in attack and will also restore HP from the burn.

    Lucky Draw:
    Attacks have a 10% chance to cause a random stat drop when making contact. In the field, it makes your chance of finding shiny Pokemon higher.

  • Retaliation - If this pokemon is sent in after a teammate of the opposite gender is fainted, then it's next attack will be a gauranteed critical hit.

    Totally not inspired by that RP battle we just had.

  • Rhythmical: The opposing Pokemon has to use the same move for 1-2 turns when this Pokemon is sent out. Will fail if the opposing Pokemon hasn't used an attack yet.

    Similar to an automatic Encore, but lasts less time.

    mega armor/dragons and mega pokemon get plus 10-20 power depending on the attack that is used

    Avenger: If an ally Pokemon faints and this Pokemon switches in it will have all of its stats raised by +4 (Stat goes back to normal after an using a move).

    Battle text: [Pokemon] is avenging its fallen comrade!

  • Unwavering: Nothing that hits this Pokemon will be super-effective. In turn, nothing will be not very effective either. (Example: Say a fire type has this, water won't be super-effective, but grass will now hit neutrally.)

    Type Manipulator: Moves like Judgement and Techno Blast are changed right before the attack to become the most effective type as possible. (For example, use Judgment with this ability on Charizard and it will be rock type, use it on a Vaporeon right away and it will be electric.)

    Introvert: Defense and Special Defense cannot be lowered, but attack and special attack cannot be raised.

    Extrovert: Attack and Special Attack cannot be lowered, but Defense and Special Defense cannot be raised.

    Dang, I'm on a roll!

    Ionize: All Normal type moves become Electric type.

    Purify: All moves become normal type in trade for all dealing double the damage from usual.

    ... Alright, I'm done. XD
