What do you think about all of the creepy clowns? Have there been any sightings in your state? I dont think the above link with the map covers them all because there have been some fairly close to me. They seem to be really bad in South CarolinaHave you seen a creepy clown?

Are they a threat? Should those dressing up as creepy clowns be arrested even if they are acting peacefully (as we do not know their intentions? How should we deal with the issue? There have been cases of violence as a result of these clowns, not even counting general public disturbance.

Until proven otherwise, I'm simply noting it as effective (if dangerous) promo for the IT remake getting released next year.

  • Some people out there have taken American Horror Story too seriously.

I just hope nobody gets killed by a trigger happy idiot on Halloween.

  • So long as they aren't zapping people with cotton candy guns and eating people then I say have at it. Once you start destroying property, however...

also, I say no to, yet again, another remake. They pump remakes out so fast it makes the rabbit reproduction cycle look painfully slow... but I digress.

i feel like this was a marketing plan that some fucked up people saw as an excuse to attack people. there have been a few instances of people getting attacked (source 1 source 2) and i think this was only because people just fell into the trend a bit too hard.

If this really is meant to be advertising for something, shouldn't it be, idk, a little more obvious that it is? Rather than leave people wondering what the fuck is the deal here?

  • If this was really just a marketing strategy for the upcoming IT movie, then it vaguely reminds me of EA's marketing campaign for Dante's Inferno by hiring people to pretend as religious extremists protesting at themselves to give their game more attention.

also, I say no to, yet again, another remake. They pump remakes out so fast it makes the rabbit reproduction cycle look painfully slow... but I digress.

Technically it's not a remake, because it's based on novel, which means this is another adaption. Going by your logic, we would call versions of a Christmas Carol after the first adaptation "remakes."

This is something that concerns me about it. One of them is gonna jump out at the wrong person and it will end up very messy and tragically.

It's a really stupid fad that really needs to die immediately. I know of a friend who was at work and one showed up and security escorted them out. I really don't understand it.

  • Needs to die immediately so I can feel more secure driving at night.

We have them in my state, and they are pretty bad in the area I work in. I just hope it's a fad, but since I work in the hood, I doubt it will lighten up anytime soon.

  • They have a lot of free damn time to be dressed up and standing around in the woods doing absolutely nothing.
