Are we still picking out types? Cause I wanna do Dragon type... If not then Dark.... IF NOT THAT THEN Steel... and I'll name more later :P So I wanna do Dragon

Name: Arcelio
Version: Platinum
Play Style: Nintendo DSi
Type: Ground

Changed my mind after realizing how badly Normal-type got screwed in D/P/Pt. You don't get any decent offensive Pokemon if you play Normal-type until after the Elite Four, which is when the Challenge is over. Seriously, the best three that you can get are Bibarel, Staraptor, and Lopunny. Only one of those Pokemon doesn't suck, so I'll be changing to Ground-type, and starting off with Turtwig, which evolves into a Ground-type.

Okay, I've got my update ready. This one is a in a normal, boring list-like style, because I couldn't think of a good enough story to create for my character, Lucas.

  • Named myself Lucas.
  • Met up with Barry (Rival) at his house.
  • Met up with Barry at Route 201.
  • Got my first Pokemon from Rowan.
  • Beat Barry with my newly acquired Turtwig.
  • Went back home.
  • Went to Route 201, and then to Lake Valor.
  • Left and went eastward, towards Sandgem Town.
  • Arrived at Sandgem Town, and spoke with Rowan.
  • Nicknamed my Turtwig, saved, and turned off my DS.

Well, I played Platinum basically all day today, so I guess I'll update.

  • Spent some time grinding Turtwig up to a decent level. I did this multiple times, but I'm only mentioning it once, to not useless add things to this list.
  • Made it to Jubilife City with no problems whatsoever. Met the extremely odd man known as Looker, then left Jubilife after collecting my free Poketch. Not a bad prize at all.
  • Left Jubilife City for Oreburgh City. Battled Barry on the way out, which was rather difficult, considering I'm only using Turtwig at the moment. Just barely defeated Barry, then moved on to Oreburgh.
  • After collecting the HM Rock Smash, I left the cave that connects a Route to Oreburgh, and set off for the coal mines, after being led to the Gym, and being informed that the Leader was in the mines at that moment.
  • Met Roark, he displayed the ability of Rock Smash, then he left to return to the Gym. Caught a Geodude on my way out, making that my second Ground-type Pokemon.
  • Defeat Roark with Turwig's Curse/Razor Leaf combination, then set back off to Jubilife.
  • Made it to Jubilife, level grinding Geodude until he learned Rock Smash, and beat down two Galactic Grunts with Dawn as my partner.
  • Made it to Floaroma Town, healed at the PokeCenter, and went to the Valley Windmill.
  • Agreed to help the little girl, defeated the Galactic Grunt in front of the Windmill, only for him to rush inside and lock it, trapping me out.
  • Went to Floaroma Meadow, stopped two Galactic Grunts from robbing another person, and got the Windmill Key.
  • Went back to the Windmill, opened the locked door, and beat all the Galactic members inside, including Mars.
  • Left Floaroma, and set back on my quest for the Eterna City Gym Badge. Caught a Shellos, which I can use since it evolves into a Water/Ground dual-type, which works perfectly for me.
  • Saved my game, and turned off my DS for the day.

Game log:

-Managed to get through the extremely annoying snow route; took long enough to get trudge through the damn snow, and then there was the stupid hail
-All along that route I mainly trained Gastrodon, because he's the only one who isn't weak to Ice attacks. Meanwhile, Boulder gets ignored. I'm thinking about just forgetting him altogether, especially since I can't evolve him.
-Anyway I get to the next gym, and used, you guessed it, Gastrodon. On all the trainers at least. The gym leader was one tough cookie. For one thing, she pulled out her Sneasel really early for Abomasnow, right as Gastrodon was about to use Surf -_- And then comes the Wood Hammer, which, along with Froslass' annoying Double Team/Blizzard combo, forced me to use my 2 revives on Gastrodon. I think Turtle was the only other one who did damage, but they all ended up fainting anyway. And so out of sheer luck I managed to win the Icicle Badge.

Current Team:

Gastrodon - Lv51
Holding Razor Fang

Well, since I'm here, I might as well update. So.....

-I beat Roark with Turtwig, since I had no way of getting a dark pokemon, until I got the pal pad
-My awesome friend traded me a Houndour egg which had awesomesauce bred attacks
-Trained Heateo on the way to Floaroma and Eterna. Took me for-ever to beat Mars, then smooth sailing.
-Beat Gardenia in a breeze
-Went down bicycling road
-Heateo evolved!

And that's where I stopped!
(I have a Bidoof as an HM slave)

Team:
"image removed"
Heateo lvl 25
Dark Pulse
Shadow Ball
Flamethrower
Sludge Bomb

Just a quick, rather small update.
  • After clearing out Team Galactic, I took to grinding my Pokemon. After stepping into Eterna Forest, I met with Cheryl, who offered to team up with me. Sadly, I'm a sucker for a damsel in distress, so I accepted her as part of the team.
  • Grinding went on for hours. Seeing as Cheryl took the responsibility of healing our Pokemon onto herself, I used that to my advantage.
  • Left Eterna Forest, and Cheryl went with it. Now I'm lonely again.
  • Beat down some Fisherman with Grotle. Just as a message to the Fisherman with six Magikarp, **** you. Yes, you. **** you hard, *******.
  • Entered Eterna City, went to the Pokemon Center, healed, then went next door to get a Digging Kit, or whatever the hell it's called. Not like I'm going to use it anyway. None of the fossils are Ground-type, so they're all useless to me.
  • Entered Eterna's Gym, and challenged the first trainer. Stood mesmorized as the 'flower clock' changed positions. Not that's something you don't see everyday.

There can be more than one challenge (I think), and it's not like they stole your rules.

Can I take the Ice Type challenge. I'm not sure on what version yet.

I'll do it on Platinum.
