Do you teach your Starter Pokemon HM's?

I teach my water starters Surf...

I absolutely HATE most HMs... usually I limit my party to four good Pokemon and two HM mules. That being said... never, not unless it's fly; even surf I'm hesitant to teach them.

Used to give Blastoise Surf, but only the first few games. After that only ever taught it to Lapras.

no cept surf to the water ones but i dont count that

I do because I end up using my starter only for a short amount of time and whenever there isnt any other pokemon that can learn a HM.

Yes, but only one HM. That is me. Empoleon: Rock Climb. Torterra: Cut. Infernape: Cut.

i only did in Pearl version. i never used my starter after the elite four, so i turned it into an HM slave

I had my Combusken learn Cut. I had to restart the game because my BLAZIKEN wanted to learn Sky Uppercut, and the rest of it's moves were too strong to give up.

For the most part I usually start out with a Water starter and I usually give them Surf and if not (like Swampert) I give it Waterfall
