Does Light Screen double the user's special attack?

    If I have a pokemon who knows light screen, and they get attacked with a special move, would it double my special stats? I don't know if it still does in Platinum, but I know it does in the first generation games (to my knowledge).

    • No, Light Screen will not double the user's Special Attack. It will only halve the damage taken from special attacks. It was only in Gen 1 that it doubled the user's Special stat.

    Since there's no longer a "Special" stat, the only stat it affects now is Sp. Defense.
