I'm more of a square person, which is why I prefer brackets to parentheses.

And when it comes to titles, LJ ones excluded, I like when the things that are supposed to be capitalized are capitalized. And from what I've seen, there's never a period after the second number in a "#.#" thing. And the ~ after the period just doesn't work.
