Another new type of battle has been announced! Prepare for Sky Battles!

Triple and Rotational battles was tedious enough, but Five!? Jeez.

I know, at least with triple battles it's fair with 3 versus 3, but here they're beating up on your one Pokémon...

Talonflame, a new Fire- and Flying-type Pokémon, has just been revealed in a Sky Battle demo against Noctowl!

Fletchling evolves into Talonflame.

Only some Flying-type Pokémon (and a few others) can enter a Sky Battle. Mr. Masuda is demoing now!


Yep...super disappointement. Limitations? Not all Flying types? so lame.

Yes, so Fletchling did in fact ditch the Normal type, finally a unique regional bird!

5 vs 1 sound extremely tough. Veterans should be please with the difficult and unpredictable battle engine. Pokemon X & Y will raking in money for Nintendo.

Talonflame has just been switched out for Haunter! But wait...Haunter isn't a Flying-type Pokémon.

Well for some reason I had the strangest notion that this event was supposed to be 90 minutes...looks like the presentation was the "leaked" video from earlier! Good to get some official names, though, and a little more info.

It may be possible to import Pokemon from the DS titles, I kinda expected that one anywayys.

It's the bird that looks like it has pants, they showed it earlier in Pokebeach, it looks too much like a Fletchling evolution to not be...it'll be worse than anything of that sort if they did...

Talonflame is a really bland name :p
Gamefreak was good with the names of Pokemon, some even better than their Japanese counterpart. But I guess their creativity began to run out. I guess we have to wait for another Pokemon to disproved that.

Yeah, but you're not using them all at once...unless we take down the Hoard one by one, than it's not that hard :)
