It's going, that's for sure. I'm still trying to figure out the ending, for one, exactly who here I want to throw in, and a few little details that I shall keep secret until it is released. I will probably get it up sometime later this week, or early next week if time decides it hates me.

Oh, and I can't sleep right now. I'm not sure why, but it's starting to tick me off. This is the fourth time since last Thursday this has happened to me >=(

I know how to fix your sleeping issues, Post Office! Get a Hypno that, of course, knows Hypnosis... and hope to high heck that "Dream Eater" isn't involved in the movepool. *shot*

Here's a question:

Let's say your character(s) is suffering from insomnia; to what lengths would they go attempt to cure it?

Entei would only continue to plan his strategy for his inevitable battle against Mewtwo.
Jeff would try to exhaust himself training.
Katy would try conventional methods of sleeping before giving up and staying awake the remainder of the night.
I'm not really sure if the Mewtwo in my story really sleeps. It's more like a rest in a conscious state. I'm not too sure how to describe it.

Mike would probably try to sleep, and then give up and just play his Platinum version all night EV training his Pokemons.

Lol, I still need to get D/P, but I think I'll wait until Platinum is released in the US. The only third-game-of-single-generation game I have ever owned was Yellow. I was pretty much screwed out of Crystal and Emerald, they being released a few months after I bought Silver/Ruby. Don't want to spend the money on D/P and only miss out on Platinum :(

Should you be asking that to someone who's been reading smut all day?

Yes. Yes, I should. Because the response can only be colorful.

Also, POB, perhaps it's stress? What's going on in your life lately?

Also also...

Let's say your character(s) is suffering from insomnia; to what lengths would they go attempt to cure it?

Viola has a Haunter. 'Nuff said.

Bill is used to insomnia because he spent a chunk of his life as a college kid with a crazy-ass double-major, and college kids with crazy-ass double-majors don't sleep. Usually, he uses the extra hours to work (without realizing he has extra hours) until he finally drops off on his desk.

Rose would try the warm milk method, Imogen uses herbal teas, Heather gets drunk enough to pass out, and the others are sane and just use harsh medications.

Ren simply wouldn't sleep. Too much to think about. He's like me in that respect. I haven't gotten a full night's sleep in around a week and a half now.

Kairn would probably have Latios or Houndoom knock him out if it got really bad. The others I can't see having insomnia, unless Latias is angsting out to some of Ren's bad memories. If that's the case (and I can't word this any better), she'd use the fallback of snuggling with Ren until she fell asleep.

Mewtwo? She'd just flip a switch on her wall and be bathed in a blue glow, which literally inhibits her higher brain function. Instantaneous unconsciousness. I think that's the longest two-word sentence I've ever written.

...Oh, crap.

First of all, I have to apologise. I forgot one thing and I might have made you guys a bit uncomfortable... You see, here in Finland, we have a teensy weensy bit more liberal way to think about nudity than, say, people in USA do. I don't think I'm going to explain this further because it would take me all day, as we're talking about a culture difference dating several hundreds of years ago here. If someone really want's to know, then maybe I can tell you. To cut a long story short, let's just say that Finnish people invented sauna, Finnish people don't use swimming suits or towels in sauna, and that practically all people in Finland, were they young or old, go to sauna with their families.
I didn't see anything particularly mind-shaking in that video. The song's annoying, though, but I still like it for some weird reason. But our culture is very unique in this aspect.

So, I really am sorry. And this time, for once, I'm serious.

And as for how that is political satire... None of you probably saw it, beacuse I guess you all stopped watching before that part, but they sing that "Japan is in crisis", "there's a recession", "I hope we could just push the reset button" and so on, and right after that: "we're so lucky to be alive!" and "just as long as we have this one leaf, we're fine!"
So, the stage costumes are underpants with leaves on them, because supposedly that's all the guys have left. But they're happy because they're alive. It's a delicate way of mocking the government and its poor economical state... Or at least as delicate as dancing in your underwear and singing catchy songs can be.

That was not porn, they guys just sang... Sorry if I made you feel too gay or too straight or too bi or whatever, but I just didn't think very thoroughly.

Here in Finland, there was a considerably fat man in a con (animecon, you know?) cosplaying a Yatta-man. So, a fat, middle-aged man in only his underwear with a leaf glued to the front. In a public event. It's that liberal here. We all thought it was really weird, though.

Now, let's forget that and move on *sweeps*

Well, at least An-chan's parody should be an oasis from the desert of boring/less funny fics that litter this forum. A few other good fics have popped up recently, but none as funny as An-chan's
Aww.... Thanks! But, you know, I'm starting to get sterres about living up to your expectations here ^-^''

I just realized I'm going to have problems with my parody soon... I just borrowed a book about Hiroshima from the library  I don't think reading stuff like that makes people want to be humoristic. But I'm going to try.

All right! Kawaii! *Japanese school girl pose*

...I still feel so stupid here...

I guess my parody is one of the less funny ones. :( Then again, I stopped writing that parody due to many things...^^; Still hadn't read An-chan's fic yet, but will!

Bunny would just go and read a history or mythology book (though that might make her wake up a few hours...XD). Jacob would just drink his wine and stare either outside or the fireplace for a little while. Jenny most likely would also read a history book, but she would fall asleep a few hours later. XD

You've written a parody? When? Where? I will find this parody and read it through! I'm sorry I didn't notice it; I kinda just read what's at the top of the list here. And if it's bad, then I review like crazy.

Also, POB, perhaps it's stress? What's going on in your life lately?
I don't think it's stress. I was pretty stressed out two weeks ago or something though. Could just be some kind of effect of that stress. The weird thing is that I'm tired at odd times of the day and wide awake at others. It's an on and off thing, and it's very confusing. I've had up to six alterations in one day. It's getting pretty frustrating.

First off, An-chan, I'll have to agree with txt. Don't worry about it. We're cool.

Mm. Yeah, I think I know what you mean. When I get that way, it's either because I've gotten so used to staying up late that I can't get myself to sleep properly or because I've recently muddled through a crapload of stress.

Still, if it persists, maybe consider going to a doctor. I've had friends with insomnia, and at some points, they turned out... not so well. ._.

I've considered it before, but just as I'm about to schedule the appointment, it stops. If I keep having this problem through the week and into the weekend then I think I'm going to get it checked out. Hopefully it's just a problem with my sleep patterns.

Oh, and An-chan, I thought it was funny. I saw right away once they got to the Japan crisis thing what you meant by political satire, but I thought it was too transparent and obvious. Looks like I was right the whole time ^^

Oh, and I favorited it for kicks (I'm straight! I swear!)

I know, I know, but I can still be sorry, right? :<

As for that insomnia thing (by the way, you taught me a new word, yay!), I think I know what you mean... I never get that way because of stress, because I mostly don't stress about anything, but my sleeping is cycle is a bit off by deafult. Even when I was a baby, I used to go to sleep late and also wake up late. School system, however, doesn't understand I have such a special condition, so I have to go to school at 8 like everyone else does. Because I can't get any sleep before 1 AM or something like that, I tend to sleep wery little during the week and a lot during weekends. Sometimes, however, I don't have time to sleep, and I gradually go nuts.

I should live in USA. My sleeping cycle as it is would be perfect in Boston. I noticed this a couple of years ago when I was visiting my mom's aunt there. But in Finland? Sometimes there are nights I can't get any sleep at all, because I can't fall asleep before 4.30 AM. It's not very cool when you have maths the next day.

EDIT: POB Ninja'd me! And good for you for figuring out the satire in that clip! And good for you for liking it! We can make a club!

Post Office Buddy, that's all right. Well, the parody is called "Destiny's Tricks" and it's in my sig. However, I stopped writing it in August due to me losing inspiration, not much time, and focusing on "Nothing, Everything" and a sci-fi one shot that I won't post until maybe spring. You can still read it if you want, but don't post a review on the thread due to bumping rules. XD

As for insomina...I pretty much sleep late on weekends. Weekdays I would sleep early (or try to) due to either work or class. ^^

Oh An-chan, reviewed your story! ^^

I have work tonight, so maybe I can read it tomorrow or Thursday should time permit. Also, if you don't mind, I could send the review via PM rather than post.

Not sure if I would go so far as to make a club, although that would be a funny club to be in. We could call it "The Nearly Naked Asian Men Dancing With Green Leaves Over Parts Singing Political Satire Club." The acronym would be crazy though, something like TNNAMDWGLOPSPSC. I think it could work ^^

...I think I would probably have to slap you if you ever made that. And then I would shake your hand. And then I would slap you again.

In other news, now that I think about it, I've probably gotten eighteen hours of sleep in the last four days. That's less than four hours of sleep per day. And I say day because I sleep during the day. Much to the chagrin of my roommate, whom I've threatened to kill multiple times after he disturbed me.

EDIT: Or a little more than four hours for those of you awake enough to do math correctly.

Ah yes, the inverted sleep pattern. I suffer from that quite a lot as well. I can't really do that too much, though, since I have school and work consuming most of my day. Night is the only time I really have to be lazy and discuss fanfic st00f/almost naked Asian men st00f/complete randomness. Once December 14th rolls around, though, I will have a lot more free time (to sleep, probably).
