List your favorite pokemon per type and describe how you chose them.

I tend to love pokemon that are regal/elegant. Also, a nice color palette is a plus!
The stats or competitive viability are secondary, if at all, influential.

The least favorites are in parentheses. I tend to not like pokemon with dull coloring, ugly-derpy faces (cutes ones are fine), poor/boring concepts, or overly bulky.

[Early]

I actually can't quite bring myself to dislike many Pokemon, so some categories for that field are blank! If I do, it's most likely for a reason related to either experiences in the past, or just not being very fond of its/their design(s) for one reason or another. I started getting sleepy halfway through from it being late, so any I don't do tonight will be added tomorrow!

Spoiler:

Electric (my favorite type of all 18, so there are some hard choices!):
Favorite: Raichu. Very classic and possibly slightly cliche choice, but I chose it because I love mice in general and always found Raichu to have a very cool, yet simple design. One of my favorite Pokemon in general ever since I was a little kid and still had the trading cards.
Least Favorite: Stunfisk. Another probably expected choice, but I'm not very fond of its design no matter how hard I try to overlook it.

Steel
Favorite: Klinklang, Bisharp; Klinklang doesn't seem to be very popular, but I love it despite it's "lazy" design motif. Bisharp is just a cool Pokemon.
Least Favorite: Scizor

Psychic
Favorite: Meowstic, Hypno, Sigilyph; cute and unique Pokemon, with Hypno in particular having been a favorite since I was a little kid. I don't mind the fact that it's the star of a bunch of creepypastas/fanfics.
Least Favorite: Mega Mewtwo X

Fighting
Favorite: Scrafty and Croagunk; I love their design and attitude, as well as lizards/frogs in general. I have a shiny Scrafty that I'm very fond of for its colors, too.
Least Favorite: Emboar (if it counts because of it being part-Fighting); I always thought that Tepig and Oshawott had the strangest final evolutions out of the 5th Gen starters, but I even warmed up to Samurott before Emboar. And a third Fire/Fighting starter in a row wasn't necessary...

Fire
Favorite: Chandelure and Volcarona; unusual designs, but still very elegant. Ironically, since I hate/fear moths in real life..
Least Favorite: Heatmor's a little creepy, but I don't dislike it completely.

Water
Favorite: Azurill, Froakie, Starmie, Kabutops; just awesome (and cute) Pokemon.
Least Favorite: I don't really have one, haha.

Bug
Favorite: Vivillon (pretty and unique!), Joltik/Galvantula (absolutely adorable)
Least Favorite: Forretress

Ghost
Favorite: Drifblim, Haunter, and Aegislash; I've always been very attached to the former two, while Aegislash grew on me after a while.
Least Favorite: Don't have one for this category!

Rock
Favorite: Aggron, Tyrantrum, Rampardos
Least Favorite: Rhyperior (though it reminds me of Ganondorf, which I suppose is a redeeming quality).

Least Favorite: Barboach

I'll go off primary type as it would look a little bit silly if I had Haunter for both Ghost and Poison and Infernape for both Fire and Fighting, etc. The exception will be for Flying where if I'm not mistaken there are only 3 primary Flying types and they all came in the last two generations (Noivern, Noibat and Tornadus).

I'll give a mention to Venusaur, Lucario and Aurorus who would have made the list of favourites if I'd included secondary typings. Before anyone asks, I don't hate gen 5. I thought the games were pretty darn great, but given they added so many completely new pokemon in that generation, I think it's of little surprise that there were some stinkers in there. And I didn't even have Garbador on the list {XD}

I base my favorites from usage in battle and in-game playthroughs, fun factor, viability (for in game play, PVP, Battle Frontier related content), strength, appearance, concept, nostalgia, and a ton of other factors.
