Favorite Elite Four and Gym Leader?

No one saw it coming, so I made it.

Which Elite Four or Gym Leader do you thing is the best among all? Why? Is it the typing? Development? Design?

First, I'll go with my favorite Elite Four: Shauntal. I have some reason why she's my favorite.
1. I like her outfit.
2. She trains Ghost-types.
3. I like her hair.
4. She writes novels, and I would love to read one of hers sometime.
5. She has a Chandelure, the evolved form of Lampent, my second most favorite Ghost-type.
6. Her design is based off black cats. I like it.
7. Most importantly, she's left-handed. Does this have to do with black cats and ghosts (which are supernatural)? I mean, black cats are a symbol of bad luck, and so is being left-handed (which I will forever hate the right-handed community for bringing upon our peaceful people).

Joking aside, I have more than ten favorites! So I'm simply highlighting a few Gym Leaders and an Elite Four member.

Misty and Gardenia's aces have one thing in common: fully evolved that happened to be strong in the competitive field (at least in those respective Pokémon's debut generation).

Maylene, she is a unique character: first ever major female character that is directly associated with the Fighting-type, a type that is often regarded as masculine and 'not girly-cute'. Have I mentioned? She has a pink hair! Her ace is a unique Pokémon as well, Lucario, a Fighting/Steel-type Pokémon which was a whole new typing during its debut generation!

Grant, unlike most Rock-type Gym Leaders, he wasn't the Gym Leader to be battled first. He uses fossil Pokémon; he doesn't have the Geodude line part of his arsenal. He can be surprisingly tough as well, even if you have a Frogadier, Ivysaur and/or a Wartortle in your team!

Phoebe, prior to Generation III, all the Ghost experts were focused on the Gastly line and the Misdreavus line was almost forgotten. Phoebe is brutal with her Dusclops duo and Sableye didn't have a weakness before the introduction of Fairies! You better have Full Restores and Revival Herbs!

Electric types have always been my favorite since the very beginning. So at the time he was the only electric gym leader and he was also a member of Team Rocket. *Evil grin*

I mean come on we share the same name and everything.....I just wish she was electric and not psychic...lol.

My favorite gym leader would have to be Wallace. Why he is my favorite I am not sure lol. The ice puzzle can be confusing sometimes. The design of it in ORAS is amazing so I guess that's why he's my favorite.

My favorite Elite Four is Drake. There's something about him that I like other than the fact he uses Dragon type Pokémon (my personal favorite).

My favorite gym leader and Elite Four Member is Blue/Green Oak because we've "been rivals since we were young".

Favorite Gym Leader is a tough call, but I'll go with Sabrina.
She always had a presence about her that was fitting. Also love her design!

As for favorite Elite Four Member? Lorelei. I like the combination of Pokemon she had on her team. Her post-game story in FR/LG was also pretty great. Oh, and the fact Misty admires her is a nice bonus :)

My favourite gym leader has been Maylene for a long time. Ignoring the fact that she's got a good design, she's an interesting character, like a calmer Flannery.

My favourite E4... That's trickier. I've always been more partial to gym leaders than E4 but I'm fond of Flint and Lance.

My favorite Gym Leaders are Flannery, Skyla, Volkner and Blaine. Favorite E4... probably Grimsley.

Favorite gym leader is Misty. Misty is so cute and lovable, I really liked her in the anime.
Favorite elite four member is Karen. She is so cool and hot. I really like what she says when you beat her.
Favorite champion is Cynthia. Not only is she a babe but she is so kind and caring, that makes her even more attractive.

My favorite gym leader of all time will always be Blaine. The idea of a gym in a volcano was so cool to me, and still is a cool idea! I liked his style, and loved him in both the games and anime. The fight between him and Ash in the anime was badass too; they battle while the volcano is about to explode. I don't remember it all now but I thought it was one of the coolest things on the show ever!

My favorite GL is a toss-up between 4 of the Sinnoh Gym Leaders: Gardenia, Fantina, Candice, and Volkner. All of them have cool designs that match their type quite well, each of them was a huge challenge on one playthrough or another (or in Fantina's case, every playthrough). Also, their aces are memorable. Gardenia's Roserade will without a doubt have a higher BST (515, if I recall) than your pokemon, and is insanely overlevelled compared to the trainers before it (in Diamond, Gym Trainers used Lv17s, her first two are 19, and Roserade is 22). You need a strategy to beat it. Similarly, Fantina's Mismagius is just too powerful for a 3rd gym (Plat). Hell, it's too powerful for a 5th gym, but what gives? The difference between Roserade and Mismagius is that Mismagius has Shadow Ball and isn't weak to every type in the entire game. Candice's Abomasnow in DP was ok, but her Froslass in Plat is amazing (Also, Candice's Gym Puzzle). And Volkner's Luxray and Electavire were probably my first two favorite pokemon.

As far as E4 is concerned? I'll go with Shauntal or Caitlin. Again, these two always seem to give me hell no matter what team I have for BW/B2W2. Also their character designs are quite good, but that has already been said a bunch in the thread. I also like how Missingno. Master's Random of Randomness portrays Caitlin. Long story short, the protagonist wakes her up with a poke flute, which she proceeds to telekinetically whack him in the head with.

Other characters that deserve mentions here are Cynthia for obvious reasons, Wikstrom and Siebold for being generally cool, and Phoebe for being the last E4 member that isn't a complete a-hole. Also Maylene.

My fav Elite 4 is Phoebe I think shes cute and I love her outfit. My fav Gym Leader is, I'm not going to say. I think you already know who it is.

My favorite Gym Leader will probably always be Giovanni. He was such an interesting character, and felt really menacing the first time I played. If you're an 8 year old playing LeafGreen for the first time, which I was, he's also pretty darn tough.
As for E4... I'd say Will just by virtue of his epic fashion sense. I would wear that outfit.

I'm always a fan of really sweet girls training really scary Pokemon. Jasmine and Phoebe are favorites for that reason. I love Candice too, for going against the stereotype of the cold, aloof ice trainer. And Elesa, for having such a memorable personality.

Favorite gym leader? It's a tie between Misty, Blaine, Whitney, Morty, Roxanne and Flannery. (that's a lot!) I like Misty partly for her portrayal in the anime, but I also appreciate her spunky attitude in the games as well. Blaine is really eccentric which makes him entertaining - I loved his gym puzzle! Whitney and Morty have to be old favorites of mine, as I had a crush on them once because of their designs. :P Roxanne doesn't really stand out to me now, but I liked her a lot as a child and I'm too sentimental to not put her in this list. :'D Finally, Flannery is an awesome gym leader whom I relate to quite a bit! (I used to try and act a bit tough and intimidating during my elementary to middle school years.)

As for the Elite Four... I'm really not sure. I really like the Unova Elite Four because they tried to give each of them a personality outside of them just being flat specialists of their type. But aside from them; I'm going to say Karen for that awesome quote, Aaron since I roleplayed him once on Tumblr, Glacia for her design and the fact that I love Ice types and Flint because he actually plays a bit of a role in the story!

I just love the story behind her, her figure, her hair, everything about her! :D
Her Gym to me was the most enjoyable and since I like dragon type Pokemons the most, Dragonair is one of my favourites.

I suppose Lance is my favorite Elite Four member. Lance is always a hell to fight as Dragonite is quite bulky. He also becomes champion later on. Honrable mentions to Will and Koga.
My favorite Gym Leader I suppose would be Cheren. I don't know why though. His involvement in B1/W1 must be it. Honorable mentions to Brock, Falkner, and Blaine.

Off the top of my head, Fav gym leader is Flannery. She is very cute and I'm glad they didn't change her look too much in the remakes. (That said, while I like the new look, I still perfer her original outfit.)

Fav E4 member however is a tie between Karen and Marshal, cuz they look cool in their own way
