Toshira Masuda - Naruto soundtracks, for the anime, great music, using traditational, and modern instruements.
Rika Matsumoto - Did the pokemon theme entitled, OK! And most of the other good tunes featured in pokemon.
Various Artists - For the pokemon soundtracks, in the japanese versions of course...some of them had good tunes.
Akeboshi - Did the ending theme for naruto season 1, which was an amazing song!
Hironobu Kageyama - Another good dbz artist.
Hiroki Takahashi - Did some cool dbz songs also!

Howard Shore - Great composer, bigh highlight was the lotr soundtracks.
John Williams - Another great composer, highlight was the harry potter soundtracks and the star wars trilogy soundtracks.
Klaus Badelt - Good too, did the pirates of the carribean soundtrack which was amazing!!!

Beastie Boys - Some may put them under another category, but they are primarily rap, and I like em.

Kiss - Shout it out loud, thats the only song I really know of theirs, but they got some other good ones, just cant quite remember them.

System of a down - Good thrashers, good beats!
Linkin Park - Their fame has really died down in the past years, meh, I still like them.
Summoning - Does lords of the rings themed songs.

Refused - Great screamer/hardcore/thrasher punk
Transplants - Another side project of rancid, anything from these guys is good :D.
Nekromantix - Pyschobilly, good stuff.
Gob - A bit poppish, but I like them.
Horropops - Pyschobilly as well, gotta love these guys/girls.
Misfits - Monster punk basically, good stuff also.
Mad Caddies - Regga punk almost, its really god.
AFI - Awesome band, # 2 on my top 5.
Bad Religion - Frontiered punk with a beat, in my opinion.
Anti-Flag - Great band, anti-bush, so they are one better.
NOFX - Those guys are crazy, thats all I have to say.
Rancid - Regga punk, gotta love it!
