Very rarely are there male characters that I really like, but the ones I do:

Among many more. I tend to have one favorite male character from each anime/manga/game, but those would have to be my top... six? haha.

Hidan- Naruto- My overall favorite character from Naruto. He's just great!
Rorunoa Zoro- One Piece- Strong, careless, and always getting lost. Plus, he holds a dang sword in his mouth! You don't get cooler than that!
Greed-Fullmetal Alchemist (2003)-I always like him the best in the FMA series.
Vegeta-DBZ-My all-time favorite character. :)

Eikichi Onizuka: A controversial teacher, portraying a variety of opposing characteristics and depicting an envisaged image of what every student hopes for a high school teacher. He is introduced as a strong and prevalent, arrogant bike leader who surprisingly one day opted to teach at a high school (or was it middle school?). He becomes friends with his students, helps them with their personal and related problems, and marks a legacy amongst his loyal and dependable students. His most stand-out characteristics are his sense of humor, highly athletic body structure (he throws himself from a roof onto a car, gets shot many times, and stands in the way of a car), and his masked but fairly pellucid caring for his students.

At the moment my favourite character is Kanda Yu from D.Gray-man.
I can't really answer the question as to why he's my favourite in one straight answer. I think he's a very interesting character, that has/d me intrigued since the first time I saw the second (maybe first, though he doesn't really appear in it) D.Gray-man episode.
And now that I know why he is the way he is, he still intrigues me.
And besides, he's got long (blue) hair, wields a Katana and gets a door slammed against his nose. What's not to like?
I like a lot of the D.Gray-man characters, so they're also included in the somewhat gray mass that comes after Kanda. Though they're clearer than the rest. |D

In 1st place my favouite male character in all manga the chivalrous/perverted the funny the isanely strong kicker it is.....
Black Leg Sanji from the Manga One Piece

I love all these characters mostly for their cool, calm and funny personailitys.

My favorites are listed below.

1. Kiba from Naruto: Akamaru endears him to me.
2. Teen Gohan from Dragon Ball Z: Teen Gohan's Super Saiyan Two form was immensely powerful. Too bad he didn't keep up with his training after the Cell Saga.
3. Cilan from Pokemon: His personality amuses me to be honest. He has so many different sides to him that it's not even funny.

There was initially a favourite male thread alongside the favourite female thread, but it didn't last nearly as long.

Now then, my favourite is Lin Shu Rock Yalulug Dril Hydal Jinto (usually just 'Jinto') from Sekai no Monshō/Senki; he's just a generally likeable and relatable guy.

I like Toshiro Hitsugaya and Zero Kiryu.
Their personalities and strengths are awesome.

Kyon from Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. He's practically the only sane one. x)
