    This is an interesting topic that died last month because I couldn't find it anywhere, but it's still interesting so i'd like to revive it!

    What are some of your favorite Pokemon OST? We all know Pokemon has some pretty underrated music.

    It can be anything, main games, spin-offs, whatever you want but of course it must be pokemon

    Pretty much anything that came from the Gen. 5 games. I really like the theme song for Driftveil City and pretty much all the trainer battle themes.

    ORAS has some great battle themes! My favorite is Steven's.

    I'm a sucker for ORAS music too! I love the battle themes! The Rival Battle is my all time fave Battle theme! I adore the music for the Route with all the ash (113?) it's mesmerising!

    My favourite has to be the BW/B2W2 soundtrack, because I feel there was some good effort put into this one, such as giving each city/town its own unique theme which has never been seen in any other region, and some of the themes (such as Ghetsis, N, Unwavering Emotions etc.) are among some of the most memorable of the series.

    I feel it's a bit bad that I normally don't remember themes outside of the battle themes. So all those route and city musics, they just tend to go under my notice. :(

    Anyway. As for my favorites:

    First one that comes to mind is Giratina's battle music from Platinum:

    I didn't realize this track existed until I stumbled upon it while randomly looking up pokemon music one day. I had never gotten that far in Platinum to come upon it myself, and...finding it was honestly the reason why I picked my Platinum back up. This track is just...I can't even properly describe it. It's eerie, it's anxious, it loops from fast to slow, it fits Giratina so well, and it might just be me but I swear I got vibes of Earthbound while listening to it (totally unrelated game, but still awesome in its own right, so to be reminded of that...I approve).

    Second, the X/Y Gym Leader battle theme:

    Took me by surprise when I first heard it, since it's definitely a different style from previous gym leader battles. It's not the triumphant blare of "important battle, go get 'em!"; instead, it's a more subtle theme, a tense heartbeat that still somehow manages to get you pumped up for the battle.

    What always gets me is how strong the opening notes are. Yeah I don't really have much more to say about it, I adore the opening notes and then the rest of the song just keeps up that same pace. Just seems stronger than a lot of the other gym battle themes. I love it.

    There's more that I like, but those are at least the top three of my current favorites.

    HGSS had some great music. So did ORAS. Just the battle themes, leader and champion themes, etc. Even the route tunes were enjoyable to listen to :3

    In terms of music I dont think I have been ever dissapointed with gamefreak!This is one section they really have done justice to.
    Also I like the oras music a hell lot!

    Frontier brain theme

    Pokémon music rarely disappoints me. My favorite music is from GSC, I love the old-timey music. Unova has some great music too, but some of the overworld music sounds too medieval to me for a Pokémon game.

    It might just be me and the fact, that I like to listen to a lot of different non-Pokemon OSTs, but I find the Pokemon Soundtrack somewhat underwhelming. There are a couple good tracks here and there, especially the champion battle themes, but outside of that, there really isn't much left, where I could think "this sounds really great".

    A couple good Pokemon ones:
    - Stevens Battle Theme
    - Ghetsis' battle theme in BW
    -Wally's theme in Victory Road (which sounds so much different to the rest of the OST. for some reason)
