[Battle] Fire Red changing Type Data(physical/special)

    Is it possible to change the pokemon type data from physicalal to special or vice versa?
    I know you can change each moves 11th data byte to make it special,physical or status but that doesnt seem to have any effect(did alot of testing) in the fire red rom maybe becuase the games battle engine isnt setup to work that way being a gen3 game??

    any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    That would be awesome if you got it working! I can not figure it out but I am new to the rom hacking world. I am not familiar with the ASM could you point me to a good tutorial or something I can use because what you have there I have not used at all yet. Thanks!
