So um, I made this thread from my realization that I've been having a lot of online friends than I do offline. With multiple reasoning of course. And also, this was from a previous thread about friendship, made just a year ago. That being said,

How do you choose your friends, or be friends with anyone?
What would you look for in a "friend"?
Do you prefer having a lot of friends? Why or why not?
Do you have a lot more offline, or online friends?

~ Well I honestly just go up and talk with a variety of people on whom I can get along with. Soooo... if I would say "hi" to anyone, that's a good chance that I'd like to be friends with them.

What would you look for in a "friend"?

~ The fact if they're nice, caring, and well, pretty funny wouldn't hurt!

Do you prefer having a lot of friends? Why or why not?

~ Hm, well, not necessarily a "lot"; I guess I like keeping a well-rounded number. :B

Do you have a lot more offline, or online friends?

As I said before, online. I do kinda wish I met more offline friends, sooo yeah. :B

Do you hang out with them often?

Just at those occasional times.

I don't really "choose" my friends, I just befriend them by idk, sharing common interests, etc. But really? I just want friends I can relate to, I'm not easily annoyed by, and I just get along with. :x Lots of friends are good, but best if you only have a few good ones, imo. Though yeah I have more friends online but I don't mind tbh. I like these people so yeah. :3

I don't choose them. We just happen to collide. Or something romantic like that. But it's not really romantic. lol

If you can just hold a decent conversation with me, then being my friend isn't a difficult thing, haha. You have to break down the Great Wall of Syd to be my best friend though. ;)

I like having a lot of friends. Makes it easier to not get bored. And I don't wanna sound like...egotistical or anything, but I think my personality doesn't allow me to not have friends. I tend to get along with like...everyone. XD; Or people just get that "omg i wanna be friends with that guy" kinda vibe with me. I have nooo idea.

I have more online, which I don't mind.

Do you hang out with them often?
I've Skyped with a few of'em, so I guess that counts as hanging out. I hope to visit two of them someday. Or they could come here. As long as I get to meet them face to face, I'll be happy. :] As for irl friends, I don't really hang out with a lot of them til band camp starts. Then the fun begins.

I'm not too sure about my friends. Online ones rock harder than hell itself, but sometimes I wonder if we're really seeing what we see in each other.

Offline...oh crap. I hang out with pretty much the nerds/outcasts/Minecrafters, they're school friends really. The only true friend I had in my life younger than me, and lives in Arizona.

Honestly I don't care too much what's in a friend. I'm trying to like all people (easier said than done), although I won't befriend obvious jerks (unless I don't think they are).

I don't have too many friends, ignore my friend list, like....2/3'rds are actually really my friends, and offline I have about 12.

Hanging out? Uhhh n/a.

I would be friends with anyone as long they are an Esper, Time Traveler or an Alien they're fine with me and that they respect me etc. and usually it's my friends that choose me to be friends with them.

Just being nice and polite would be one of the traits I would look for in a friend.

I prefer to have a small group of friends.

I have more online friends than offline.

Offline friends: I don't hang out with them much as I use to.
Online friends: I hang out with them more than my offline friends.

Similar interests is a good place to start.

People with similar interests, and who are fun to be around and perhaps who can be of potential use to me.

I have a small group of close friends and then there's quite a few other people who I would consider as aquaintances.

Trustworthy, fun, open minded, polite.

No, I just like having a small amount of close ones. Easier to manage and less room for drama.

Offline; I have about 4 people I talk to online lol.

No, I'm back in that stage of finding new ones after the last lot became drama *****s.

i don't hold specific standards, but i like people i can learn from. i'd really consider anyone a friend if they're nice to me, but my closest friends are the result of compatibility and bonding over time.

all of my friends are offline and we communicate/assemble regularly.

I don't really choose them, I just become friends with them if we somewhat get along, haha xD

Meh, I don't mind. As long as I have a few close friends I can trust, I'm just fine.

Yes, maybe too often. We literally go everywhere when we have the chance. We range from playing on the streets like hobos, going to the mall, to the movies, to the park, to annoying people on bus rides. I love my friends except for the time when we were at a restaurant and they kept making "nom nom" noises while I was eating

I prefer having a small amount of freinds. Lots of freinds makes it harder for me to have time by myself, plus it's a bit of a hassle.

I have no off-line freinds, and only have a few on-line ones.

I'm friends with people who do the same **** as me, or are friends with my friends. Maybe not BEST friends, but anybody I hang out with, is my homie.

It doesn't matter to me, much. Smaller groups tend to be bothered less and make less noise. Trust me, large groups... Don't mesh well in public places with alcohol. u_u

I have everyday, so yup. Maybe not everyone everyday, but I see most of them pretty much everyday. We're Parkrats, there everyday. ]-)

I don't even know. I get along with and talk to various people who are nothing alike.

Someone who is kind, understanding, fun, somewhat interesting, and has some sort of humor.

It's nice to have a lot of friends when you need something or want to do something, but sometimes being friends with too many people can get annoying after a while. So I tend to keep all the extra people I know at acquaintance level and the small group of people I like to hang out with at a friend level.

I have more offline friends. I really only talk to two people regularly online and three others once in a while.

I usually hang out with a friend about once a week, although now that it's the summer it's pretty random. Between all the non-hanging out times there's plenty of texting and calling so I'm socially satisfied.

Preferably someone with a nice personality and with whom I can get along. I don't really "choose" my friends though.

I don't really look for anything particular in a friend. A nice personality perhaps?

Numbers don't mean much to me. I like to get along with everyone really. So I don't really mind having a large number of friends. But, only a few are so close to my heart.

I honestly think I have more offline friends, but I have a handful of friends online too. I'm pretty much the same online and offline, save the fact that I'm a little more open online.
