Another Poke'mon Fan-Fic Complete!

At last! Project Omega is finished even earlier than expected. It will just be a few days until I can post it. I should've got a floppy drive for my laptop...the results:

110 Pages, 12-point type. I'll be able to post it this Monday Afternoon around 2:00PM Pacific Time. See ya then!

EDIT: I needed to make a few minor changes. Tomorrow, I'll have it posted in the Fan-Fiction section here at Pokecommunity. I'll provide a few links in another post as well as in my signature.

Hey people, i have some good news here:

with the help from our local police and some site admins, i've caught the guy thats been defrauding and hosting porno/hax progs under my name - as i said, NZ is a tiny country, so you've got nowhere to hide, really. mate, what he's done was far more serious than i thought! he's been buying and selling 2nd hand pc's on trademe for quite a while, and each time he buys one, he steals the previous owners private informations from internet cookies, especially passwords, and he uses their forum/isp/storage accounts to host illegal stuff to make money. and as soon as he's done with them, he sells the pc under a different account to destroy the evidence... (WTF...?)
anyway, i'm taking him to the tribunal on monday, and im asking for a compensation for the identity fraud he committed under my name and details, the police says $1500 to 2000 is a reasonable amount to ask for. so i'll just wait and see what happens then...


Hey, btw, mack foxx, i've scanned thru your fics, they're pretty good, but cant u think of any better names from the places? i mean, the way u name them is just so... cliched, know what i mean? but if thats supposed to be funny then leave it to be, lol. :D
oh, and thats not how you spell GUARDIAN, U is in the front :D
i'll take some time to read thru them when i have any - im so bored atm, uni holidays... im like d/l'ing and watching a whole series of anime every 2 days lol...

ps; how do you post a picture in your text? i drew something funny (not censorable like the other guy's, whatever he drew must be either sick or inflammatory...) that u might want to see. i tried drawing Gardevoir as the Lich in warcraft 3, they do look alike in some way - the skirt to be exact. i was never any good at drawing but i was just so bored lol...

Upload your "pictures" to Imageshack or Photobucket. When posting your "pics" you copy the address that says "https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/folderfolder/yourfile.jpg" or the like and copy and paste that in between image tags like

(without spaces of course). Then we can see your "picture". ;)

you dont want to know how i made it: i drew it on paper and took a photo of it (dont have a scanner), and then i uploaded it onto ms paint and removed the background by magnifying it 8x, and u now the rest, lol. i dont have those fancy progs like photoshop as i said i was never any good at drawing - i used to phail (correct spelling: fail) art in high school, lol.
anyway i'll get a scanner soon and try scan it. the photo is a bit too dark, but if i use the flashlight, it gets too bright... sigh @ my own n00bness...

oh, and this is absurd: in pokemon diamond and pearl, the males and females have different sprites! and some even have different size and colours - so what im thinking is, will all pokemon be like Nidorans from RBY and have different evolutions or something? i hope not or it'll be far too complicated...

They will be the same as always. Nidorina and it's branch would always be girls, Nidorino and co. would always be male. So that means each would have just one sprite to work with.

To be precise, I chose the names for the village and the city because it was simple and deviated from the usual naming of cities in the Poke'mon World after colors (Cerulean), rocks (Pewter), etc. After all, my brain power was put to better use writing the story as opposed to finding awesome names for places. Besides, Gardev and Alakaz do work well, don't they?

I actually wouldn't have known, Housyasei-san. Poke-nome has been saying for some time that he's working on drawings but doesn't have the means to digitize his artwork (IE: Scanner). Except that he has mentioned that he has access to his grandfather's scanner. I don't really know of any awesome Poke'mon image sites, anyway, aside from the limited results on DeviantArt. Oddly enough, many of the Gardevoir images done by you, Housyasei-san and Gardevoir/Sirnight don't show up when a search is done. Looks like they need to work on thier database system. Agreed?

I hope Gardevoir is still hanging around. It really seemed like she wanted to read Project Omega. Femboi_Gardevoir hasn't been here in some time either. Say...neither has the club founder, Dark_Ralts! That reminds me...check out Kine's site. He has an interesting NEW animated .GIF on display. Looks like it would be perfect for a forum signature or something.

well, they do wrk well ONLY if ur story is supposed to be funny, but if its not, i suggest that u rename them to something more original. ill think of something better if i have the "brain power", lol...
anyhow, here's some thing which MIGHT be of some help: the original beta english name for Cubone and Marowak were Orphon and Guardia, and Abra and Kadabra were Hocus and Pocus, Tentacool and Tentacruel were Jilly and Man O War, Magikarp and Gyarados were Magic Karp and Skulkraken.
those names were used in the VERY FIRST release of Pokemon RED (only) roms (v0.90c), in which ur starter pkmn starts at lv3 not 5, and wild pkmn on route 1 were all lv1 and 2.
if u want know more about the original names and the original red rom, PM me - i dont want to spam here as there are heaps of name changes in the earlier days. (i have the rom, too, if you want it, PM me and I'll email it to you, as by law im not allowed to host it publically.)

Well, The Village Guardian fits into an Action/Adventure/Comedy while Project Omega is more of the same type, but with some romance thrown in.

Yes, becuase I would've never guess which Pokemon guards Gardev or Alakaz. :cheeky: It's like calling stuff i.e. "Rocky Mountain" or "Misty Lake". I would usually think up names that arn't too obvious. Maybing a metaphorical word translated to/from another among other things.

Also, I looked at your fic thread and haven noticed replies yet. I know you said "Give me comments when you are done!". To tell the truth, I don't think most people on here would want to sit through reading 100 pages of a novel at a time. Unless they got a few hours to burn, I don't think many of them will read through the whole thing. Also consider the ADDers. ;)
Next time, don't push youself for 100 pages, keep it at a resonable reading length (10-20 pages) to get more willing readers. :)

Truth be told, I gave up reading your story at around page 20 too...

Oh, well. It was worth a shot. I'm still going to complete the series.

To be completely honest, 100 pages is small potatoes for me. My largest work to date was 347 pages long, but I was forced to start over after a year of writer's block. My Village Guardian series is mainly there to put some oil and grease on the rusted gears and cogs in my head. I feel confident enough to try again at my novel, even though my stories aren't being well-recieved. I had almost forgetton just how much fun I have writing stories. Maybe you'll see my work on store shelves within the next five years. If I don't get stuck again, my novel should be completed easily within 2 years. My current work is just practice, anyway.

10-20 pages just doesn't cut it for me. I guess people tend to not bother with a "Motion Picture Length" fan-fic, or should I say Fan-Novel? For me, its like trying to condense the Lord of the Rings Trilogy or all the Poke'mon movies into one small package and try to keep it interesting and worth reading.

I will agree that many of the shorter fan-fics are good reading. At least those who have completed my works have been satisfied. Between Gardevoir, Femboi Gardevoir and the False Solarys, I think I did a good job after all.

We could use some more artwork. I really should experiment more with Flash or even Photoshop to render out some of the main characters from my series. One unlikely goal would be to turn the trilogy (The Village Guardian, Project Omega and The Final Strike) into a series of large comics. I wonder if Buster_Wolf is cooking up anymore Gardevoir artwork.

But he said he was beginning art and drawing and that particular picture shows skill that probably extends a few years of practice. That pic also looks like it was done on the computer (like an oekaki), not scanned media.

DeviantArt needs to seriously update it search query. Also, I find images on japanese Pokemon search sites that also have fanart categories. Googleing their japanese names brings results, but not as good as the aforementioned search engines.

Ok, I'm sorry but the bolded statment made me mad...pissed off really. You made it sound like the rest of us were insignifgant in this club. Also, you're just sounding like an arrogant prick.
Sure, I might not be obcessed with Garde as much recently, but I still like her. If you would've met me over a year you wouldn't even dare say that bolded part anywhere, anytime. Have you drawn almost nothing but Gardevoir for almost a year? Have you saved almost every related Garde pic, from merchandise to hentai, to your computer(or bookmarks? :\) to where it was near 3,000 total? Have you searched the forum for "Gardevoir" almost every day to find topics about her? If you answered "No" to any of these, then you made yourself look like a darn fool.
Also, it's spelled "tragically".
