I personally wouldn't buy it. Not colorful enough to interest me. Also, I'm not too fond of blue.

There is supposed to be a red and a blue one. Originally posted there are 2 3DSXL designs. One red and One blue for each game it accompanies. What I initially thought was we'd get something like the B/W ones with each of the mascots on them with special art work for both (which was what was reported initially...but we got this design with a nearly tribal version of Sugimori's artwork)

They may add the red one later on.

I love the design of this new 3DS XL, I would have gotten it if I already didn't have my silver one I got last Christmas.

But I do love the blue color of this one too, looks awesome!

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one. I really love the blue colors on it (being a water type fan, reason for loving the color). I know its going to be expensive, so I may miss out on it.

These are gorgeous. I wouldn't pick one up because I don't need another JP 3DS and they run like $500 on import sites anyway but... *u* Wow. I especially like the gold one but I think the XY in the background of the blue one is really classy too.

I've already got a blue 3DSXL, and that top one doesn't really look like much more than a clear skin put on top of it, so it doesn't really excite me that much.

But that gold one, though! It's just too bad that they probably won't see a release outside of Japan at all.

Ugh, wish I could have waited for these to come out! Those look amazing and are certainly worth a collector's value. I wish there was a gold one with Yveltal on it though. :/ oh well

They're both beautiful in their own ways. I would personally get one since I don't own a 3DS yet if it wasn't for the fact that imports are expensive and I need the cheapest one possible cause I'm always low on cash :(

If these find their way out of Japan, I'd think about picking one up. I'm in the market for another 3DS as backup for my current one, which sees a lot of use.

I'd definitely go for the blue one. Blue is one of my favorite colors, and I prefer the simple design. The gold one, while beautiful, is too busy for my tastes.

The gold one is gorgeous, but I think I'll wait for a design I am absolutely certain on, that I find to be more versatile (in terms of... fashion, I guess?) to buy.

I don't give a single damn about the design as long as they sell that 3DS with one of the games in a bundle, I just want to play the games as soon as I get the system, how impatient of me :P

I love the simplicity of the designs for these. I prefer designs that aren't so in your face, and are more subdued. I think both the blue 3DS and the gold 3DS designs fit that description perfectly for me. I'd actually consider buying one of them, whereas in the past I don't think I would have personally picked up a Pokémon designed handheld.

Well, these special 3DS XLs are well-designed in my taste, either the blue one or the gold one. The Xerneas & Yveltal are well-drawn...much better in the gold one, but blue's good, just a bit more basic...the gold gives a lot of space for both characters with a background for each one...much better. If it was released outside of Japan, I'd look for one of them (preferably the gold)...definitely.

0_0 gold one is so pretty, going to be keeping an eye out for it as its looking like one of the nicest special edition consoles I've ever seen.
