Why is this called glass? It doesnt look like glass. But it does look cool.
what you need to do is... you need to add a stroke to the ends of the metal and try to make them end smoother so it looks like it's not on top of the glass. add an outer glow of some sort to both of them, and it might prove useful. also, use a different bevel and emboss on the glass part. i suggest my favorite: Style: inner bevel, Technique: smooth, Depth: 100%, Direction: your choice, Size: 8, Soften: 3, Angle:90, Use global light unticked, Altitude: 70, Gloss Contour: default, anti-aliased unticked, the rest default.

I'm trying to get it to look like some test tube holder thing... haha need more work with this style. **** hard to change styles...

It looks more like toxic is inside of it or acid inside the tube container so it's kinda good :).
