2nd Gen Gold, Silver, or Crystal?

Crystal. Better graphics, could finally play a girl, and Battle Tower.

Crystal had many good things, which include but are not limited to....
Female Character
Animated Sprites
Concentration on Suicune
Eusine(Weird but fun to battle)
Battle Tower
(Japan) Only Ligit way to obtain Celebi
Beacuse Suicune is the main focus, this lowered the running pokemon count to two, which made life a little easier.

Crystal is all around the best of the Second Generation.

Pokemon Silver was my second Pokemon game and definitely the best. My friend's would buy Crystal, spend a whole day beating the game, and then come over my house to beat me.

My Meganium's Solar Beam was godly. XD

I never actually got Crystal so I'm going with Gold because it doesn't have a legendary pokemon that sounds like "loogy".

Gold & Silver yo. They are better then the exclusives from Crystal.

gold is the best in my opinion....it was the first one i played and its actually the more valuable of the two...

I've had silver for as long as i can remember it still works. Although i haven't touched it in four years do to me not having anything besides a DS :(
