  • Golden Sun: The Genesis Halo

Ages ago, in the world of Weyard, the omnipotent force of Alchemy provided all manner of culture and power to its people. In this age, the ability to use Alchemy and Psynergy was unfettered and accessible to the general populace, and civilization had reached great levels of development. Various clans of Adepts (Psynergy-wielding individuals) existed across Weyard, and the landmasses of Weyard itself were far more uniform: It generally resembled the shape of a giant crescent moon. The four Lighthouses were lit at this time, providing energy to both the world and the people. This power allowed the people of Weyard to accomplish incredible feats of architecture, art, and music. But in this distant past, during Weyard's Golden Age, Alchemy was also used for more malevolent purposes.

    For war.

As the story goes, conquest and war eventually became objectives amongst those who desired power, riches, and dominion over all that lived, and global war fueled by the misuse of Alchemy for military purposes yielded potentially catastrophic results for Weyard; the world would have been torn apart if not for the efforts of a group of brave and wise men who took it upon themselves to seal Alchemy away by removing the Elemental Stars from the four Lighthouses, and confining the jewels in the innermost reaches of Mt. Aleph's Sol Sanctum. The world and the people were saved from themselves, but deprived of a massive resource, and Alchemy and the four Lighthouses would remain dormant for ages to come.

With the sealing of Alchemy, Weyard's landmasses gradually began to break up and decrease in size over the ages, though this would not be noticed by the general populace due to how gradual it was. However, over time the populace began to lose much more; Civilization thrives by building upon the knowledge of the past, and the disappearance of both Alchemy and seemingly Psynergy as well caused the various cultures of the world to lose knowledge and become more primitive over the ages.

However, the sealing of Alchemy had one more dire consequence; without the powers of Alchemy to feed and nurture Weyard, the world started to deteriorate. Gaia Falls, the enormous waterfalls at the edges of the world between Weyard and the infinite void, have slowly began growing inward as the world's edge crumbles and falls into the void

In the Northern Reaches of Weyard, far above the arctic circle, the settlement of Prox was in imminent danger of being lost to the void. learned that in order to save Weyard from crumbling away the four Elemental Lighthouses must be lit. A group of Prox's finest warriors were sent to Vale to inform the elders there of the danger Weyard was in, but their message fell on deaf ears. During this trip, the Proxians investigated Sol Sanctum, accidentally triggering the storm that caused the Mt. Aleph boulder to fall. The entire Proxian party was wiped out during the storm except for two, Saturos and Menardi. Three years later, the two attempted once again to infiltrate Sol Sanctum and retrieve the elemental stars needed to light the four lighthouses. While they were initially successful, they were soon met with resistance

The "Wise One ", the monolithic guardian of Mt.Aleph, tasked Isaac and Garet (two young Valeans) with stopping the lighting of the Lighthouses for fear that once Alchemy would be released, the past would repeat itself, and Weyard would be consumed by a world war once again. Isaac and Garet eventually were joined by Ivan (a Jupiter Adept) and Mia (a Mercury Adept), and the four continued their quest to stop Saturos and Menardi. While both the Mercury and Venus lighthouses were lit, the four Adepts were able to defeat Saturos and Menardi atop Venus Lighthouse, and the two Proxians fell to their deaths.

But their quest carried on through Felix and Jenna (both citizens of Vale), and Sheba (a Jupiter Adept). While the three were initially the Proxians' hostages, they had learned of Weyard's decline and imminent doom, and took up the quest to light the two remaining lighthouses. They were later joined by Piers, a Mercury Adept from Lemuria (the last remaining great civilization), and the four Adepts set out to save the world. They lit Jupiter Lighthouse, where they encountered Isaac and the others once again. After explaining the current situation of the world to them, Isaac and his party gladly joined up with them.

The team of eight Adepts continued their quest and traveled across Weyard to the north and to Prox, where the Mars Lighthouse was located. After overcoming the Wise One's "miracle", a dragon formed from Felix and Jenna's parents and Isaac's father, they lit the final lighthouse. The Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Mars lighthouses are lit, and their beacons merge their lights into one focal point in the airspace of Mt. Aleph, forming the Golden Sun. In turn, the Golden Sun shoots out a ray that pierces the mountain and activates the Stone of Sages within. With this, the world of Weyard and all its inhabitants are infused with the omnipotent force of Alchemy, and as a result the climate is re-stabilized and the world's inner life force is renewed.

Alex stands at the peak of Mt. Aleph, standing in the center of the Golden Sun's stream of Alchemy-based energy into the mountain as it passes through his body. Once it ends, Alex is ecstatic with his newfound power and near-limitless life, and he is all too eager to test his power. He therefore attempts to summon a thunderstorm to attack Vale at the mountain's foothills below, but the storm fails to manifest. The Wise One appears and explains to Alex that he has not gained the entirety of the Golden Sun's power, for the Wise One took precautions to counteract Alex's would-be attempt at dominion. Alex may possess the majority of the Golden Sun's power, but the rest has entered Isaac's body, leaving Alex's mastery of Alchemy incomplete. Gravely disheartened and enraged that Isaac and the Wise One have robbed him of his dream, Alex attacks the Wise One with the power he has, but the guardian seems to paralyze him to the ground. Then the mountain and the surrounding landscape suddenly mutate and collapse, and the Wise One abandons Alex, saying that he may not survive this reformation. Alex, unable to flee, seems to disappear into oblivion as Mt. Aleph sinks into the ground.

Meanwhile, Isaac, Felix, and their friends evacuate the Mars Lighthouse which is now exhuming excess Mars Psynergy, and the energy causes the miraculous revival of their parents. Isaac and Felix immediately bring them back to Prox, where they are nursed to health by the Proxeans. Now that Alchemy has returned and Prox has been saved from doom along with the rest of the world, the Adepts and their parents receive heartfelt gratitude from the Proxeans even as the townsfolk feel remorse for the fates of their fallen heroes Saturos, Menardi, Karst, and Agatio. After saying goodbye, the Adepts sail back to their hometown of Vale. However, upon reaching it, they behold one last tragedy: The town of Vale has been erased alongside Mt. Aleph, and all of its inhabitants, including Garet's family, are believed to be lost. But suddenly, all of the townspeople of Vale, including Isaac's mother, show up in perfectly sound shape, and they explain that the Wise One evacuated them out of Vale before the town was destroyed. A great bout of rejoicing ensues; everything turned out for the best.

Kraden is able to figure out that The Wise One, as an upper-tier being whose divine charge was to safeguard Alchemy's seal, constructed a giant test of some sort through all this. The Wise One knew that Alchemy would be a destructive force if it was abused by humans like it was abused in the ancient past, so he subjected Isaac and all of his friends to the trauma at Mars Lighthouse to test their virtues to see if they carried the strength necessary of the role of guiding Weyard down the path of civilization and peace as opposed to the path of warfare and power struggles, and to that end Isaac and his companions have succeeded.

More than a decade has passed since that fateful day when Alchemy was released upon the world, and drastic changes have been made. Civilization has taken a huge forward leap; buildings and structures have been erected on a scale not seen since Weyard's ancient past, and while the world has not yet returned to that "Golden Age", it is safe to say that civilization on Weyard has entered a temporary "Silver Age" and is well on its way to returning to its former glory.

But not all is peaceful in this ever-changing world. Tensions run high in the Alchemy-imbued, politically unstable Weyard and with Alchemy readily available, disagreements can rapidly escalate to an all-out war. It seems that the fears of the Wise One may become a reality.

It was for this reason that Iodem, the new ruler of Tolbi (the largest and most prosperous city in Weyard) assembled what is known as the "League of Adepts". He has gathered Adepts from across Weyard and brought them together to help keep the peace in these potentially unstable times. Instructed by the eight Adepts that helped unseal Alchemy and other skilled wielders of Psynergy from throughout Weyard, and put through an intensive training program, these Adepts quickly become highly skilled in the use of Psynergy and Alchemy.

But things are about to take a turn for the worst. Unknown to Iodem or the League, four ancient Master-Adepts have awakened after millennia of hibernation. These Adepts are Anathema; people accursed and consigned to damnation or destruction. They have embraced strange, otherworldly forms of Psynergy: Saturn, energy and force; Uranus, metal and crystals; Neptune, destruction and decay; Pluto, darkness and death. They are ancient beings of nearly godlike power who lived during Weyard's lost "Golden Age" and were sealed away with Alchemy. Now that the seal on Alchemy has been broken, they have awakened as well. But their imprisonment for all those years have left their powers at substantially diminished levels, and the lights of Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter block their powers from returning to their fullest.

So they have devised a plan. For some months they have been amassing their power; bringing the power-hungry into their folds to accomplish their goals; the corruption of the four lighthouses and the distortion and corruption of all Alchemy on Weyard. They hope to convert the lighthouses to project their otherworldly elements. Even Alchemy's guardian, the mighty Wise One, has little clue as to what they are doing. But he has realized that something is amiss, and has contacted the eight Adepts who unsealed Alchemy.

Knowing that this quest will encompass more fronts than eight Adepts can handle alone, they have turned to Iodem and the League of Adepts to help bolster their capabilities in solving this mystery and avoiding disaster.

You are one of these Adepts, trained and schooled by some of the brightest and most talented individuals in all of Weyard. You have been given skills beyond the scope of most men and women, and you have been given the knowledge to use those skills correctly for the greater good. Your quest as it is now is to uncover the plot of the four "Anathema" Master-Adepts and prevent that plan from coming to fruition. You are aided by some of the finest minds Weyard has to offer; the scholar Kraden is an especially important asset to the League and his knowledge on Alchemy has few equals. As a member of the League of Adepts, you must follow a certain code:

    1. The use of League status and Psynergy for selfish or greedy means is strictly prohibited. The breaking of this rule may result in expulsion from the League of Adepts.

    2. Voilence is used only as a last resort to solve conflicts, when all other options have failed. It is always the goal of the League to inspire trust from the common people, therefore violence against other people is discouraged unless all other options have been deemed failures.

    3. Against truly malevolent and destructive beings, violence is often times necessary. As such beings often wish great harm onto others, all steps must be taken to insure that such harm befalls as few as possible.

    4. The use of excessive or lethal force is highly discouraged. However, in instances where a force cannot be simply disarmed or defeated, when the wellbeing of the general public is at stake, drastic measures must be taken, and lethal force is authorized.

    5. The laws of local towns take priority. The League of Adepts is not to become involved matters of local law so long as these matters do not pertain to the misuse of Alchemy. The League of Adepts have jurisdiction over such matters involving Alchemy.

    6. A member of the League of Adepts will protect the innocent at all costs. The League of Adepts is an organization for the people. The League protects not the powerful or the rich, but the just and the true. Therefore, whether one is rich or poor; Proxian or Lemurian, so long as they are innocent and good, the League of Adepts will protect them and punish those who would harm them.

Alchemy: Alchemy is a power that draws from the Elements. Adepts use the power of Alchemy to channel Psynergy, and scholars, such as Kraden, study the effects of Alchemy on the world of Weyard. According to Kraden and King Hydros of Lemuria, Alchemy was sealed away by wise, brave men to prevent mankind from destroying itself. Gaia Falls slowly consumes Weyard as Alchemy is sealed, for Alchemy is the life force of the Golden Sun world, and without it, the world withers away.

Alchemy was once common place in Weyard, giving birth to great civilization, and all that is around the Golden Sun world. Alchemy is composed of the four elements, Fire and Earth, Wind and Water.

Alchemy in the Golden Sun series is heavily based off the actual study of Alchemy in real life, and many plot elements are based on legends of Alchemy, such as the Lemurian draught, which is the in-game equivalent of the elixer of life.

Psynergy: Psynergy is the ability to conjure sorcerous effects based on the elements and fueled by the spiritual power of the person's mind; a similar but different art exists in the form of Chi, which is the concept of harnessing the energy of one's body to achieve more physical effects. Psynergy is aligned to the four different Elements: Venus (earth and plants), Mars (fire and heat), Jupiter (wind and lightning), and Mercury (water and ice).

Psynergy that is not aligned with the elements, meaning it is not used for attack or planned defense, is more or less like the classic description of telekinesis or psychic power. Adepts can use this power to move, levitate, and carry objects such as statues and boulders. However, certain elemental powers of Psynergy are used for both attack and usage outside of battle. These powers grow as time goes on.

Utility Psynergy: These are the typical types of utility Psynergy for each of the four Adept types. There are limits to what kinds of Utility Psynergy you can use. Venus and Mars Adepts share a symbiotic relationship, as do Mercury and Jupiter. As such, the non-specific Psynergy (in terms of elements) can be shared by the two sets (Venus can use some Mars Utility Psynergy, and visa versa, etc.) However, certain types of items exist which can bestow an Adept with various utility Psynergy, and we can/will obtain some of those throughout the RP. The Psynergy below in Parenthesis are the Psynergy that can be shared between the two symbiotic groups.

    Venus:
(Pound, Carry, Scoop,) Catch, Growth, Retreat, Grind, Sand, Tremor

    Mars:
    (Force, Move,) Blaze, Burst

    Mercury:
(Cloak, Lift,) Avoid, Douse, Frost, Parch

    Jupiter:
(Halt, Lash,) Mind Read, Reveal, Whirlwind, Cyclone, Hover, Teleport

Adept Animal Partners: Since the unsealing of Alchemy, normal animals have begun to show adeptness with Psynergy as well. Many Adepts form strong bonds with an animal of similar Psynergetic alignment and personality. These animals are capable of utilizing Psynergy to a somewhat limited degree, can bolster an Adept's power (similar to the Djinn of the games), and can even alter the Psynergy an Adept can use.

  • Name: Marke Ekho

    Age: 21

    Gender: Male

    Alignment: Venus

    Fighting Style: Warrior

Weapon Style: Long Sword, Light Sword, Staff

    Home Town: Alhafran

Physical Description: Marke is about 6'0'' and average height for his age. His hair is a dark shade of brown, but medium-long and spiked up with a few braids in the back. The front is bleached blond by the sun, and changes from season to season; Blond in the front in the Spring/Summer, and Brown in the Fall/Winter. His eyes are a deep shade of blue, and man comment that they are "Just like his father's"

Most of the time, he can be seen wearing a red-hooded cloak given to him by some friends in Garoh, as well as a black shirt underneath and black pants. On the back of the cloak between the shoulder blades is a small 4 by 4 inch design of a hawk spreading its wings. Some tell him the design means "good fortune" for the person who is wearing it, although Marke dispels it as superstition.

His leather sword holster lies around his shoulder so that it lies on his back, but is hidden underneath his cloak.

Personality Profile: Light humor and sarcasm can be the base of Marke's personality when in a good mood. However, he tries to make light of most situations, no matter how dim, through these two things. But, when facing a difficult battle or challenge, he can be quite serious and level headed. Amazingly, when people make jokes towards him or his friends, he may not take them as a joke.

Marke can be a bit stingy when it comes to cash and items. This Is mostly due to the times when he and his mother faced hardships alone. This alone gets catches him off guard and leaves him ill prepared. However, with friends and especially with his adept partner, he is more willing to give things up. Even though he can be stingy, if he does something out of kindness, he will ask for nothing (but he may imply it).

Marke despises two things: people who flaunter their money around and is less willing to help them, and his father, who he considers abandoned him and his mother.

Brief Personal Background: Son of an explorer and merchant, Marke was born in the now bustling port/city of Alhafran. His childhood was mostly normal, however, his dad, being a merchant, had to travel a lot to many different continents every few months and could only stay with them for a short period of time. However, every time his father would return, Marke would always look forward to the stories he would tell and the treasure he would return with. When Marke was ten, his father went on another trip, promising to take Marke on the next one when he returned. Marke eagerly waited for weeks. Soon weeks turned into months and months turned into years, but his father never returned. Many around the settlement say he is dead. Some Rumors even say his boat fell off the waterfalls that surround the world. Marke doesn't believe these rumors, but still believes his father is dead.

Two years later, just after his father's disappearance had turned into a mere memory, house was robbed by bandits. All of the money and valuable possessions that they had were taken, and they were left with nothing. Immediately, his mother and Marke both set off to work to try and gain enough money to pay their taxes and survive. However, by the time tax day came around, they still didn't have enough. The greed stricken Mayor noticed this, and instead of helping them, he casted Marke's family out separating Marke from all his friends and the life he had made there. With nowhere to go, Marke and his mother headed south to the nearby village of Milkasalla.

Once there, both he and his mother resumed work and attempted to make a life there. His mother took a job at a vendor, while he took a job working for a household in Milkasalla. Nobody knew the man who lived in the house, because he had just came in from another settlement. When he first entered the house, Marke had no idea what to expect, for all he knew, the person who hired him could've been a mass murderer. However, much to his surprise, the person who hired him was none other than a Venus Adept. Marke pleaded with the Adept to teach him alchemy, and eventually the two stuck a deal. Marke would work extra hours so he could pay for the apprenticeship.

Two more years past, and eventually, his mother and Marke gained a foothold in Milkasalla. With his mother making more money, Marke didn't have to work as much, and was able to focus more and more on his Alchemy. As the months went one, Marke got better by the day.

However, the temporary peace he had earned ended a year later. A group intent on rebelling against the Mayor of Alhafran took notice of Marke and his skills. Still filled with hatred for what the mayor had done, Marke instantly obliged. Three months after his 15th birthday, the group staged a coup. Using his alchemic skills, Marke was able to smash through the guards surrounded the mansion and into the Mayor's room, but he was nowhere to be seen! The plans leaked out from an inside source, and the scum of a mayor had already escaped.

Realizing this, Marke did all he could to try to escape, eventually fleeing into the catacombs and from there, he escaped to the secluded town of Garoh. At first, the townspeople were skeptical about Marke (as they were with all outsiders.) But he soon earned their trust though his alchemy, fixing things around the village and helping whatever way he could.

3 years later, the league of Adepts took notice of Marke, and after a long journey he reached the league headquarters. Although he is new, he encourages them not to underestimate him.

    Weapon(s) + Description: Broad Sword
    Spoiler:

Marke bought this sword from a traveling salesman that happened to be passing through Alhafran before his travels to Tolbi. Although the merchant didn't tell him where he got it and the fact that Marke was skeptical, Haru said he felt a psynergy coming from the blade. On this recommendation, Marke bought the sword. However, in the time he has had it, it hasn't shown any special abilities or effects.
The steel blade of the sword has a blue/black lightning design running down one side of the blade.

Other Abilities/Skills: Due to the brief portion of his life spent in Garoh and around Air Rock, Travis picked up the Mind Reader psynergy of the Jupiter Adept that many others in that portion of the area developed. However, he can only read the minds of animals, and from that, only the minds of birds and other flying creatures.

    Animal Adept Partner:

    Name: Haru

    Species: Red Tailed Hawk

    Alignment: Jupiter

History: After the incident in Alhafran and he was contacted by the League of Adepts, he was on his way back to Garoh after some training, when he came across a hawk chick with a broken wing lying off to the side of the path. Marke immediately set up camp by it, and spent two weeks in the same spot before the hawk was even ready to be moved.

He brought it to Garoh soon after, and continued nursing it back to health. Not long after he had, he the hawk's wing healed. Marke taught the bird how to fly, intent on releasing it back where he found it. One day when he was teaching him, much to his surprise, Marke found that he could read the bird's mind and communicate with him! As thanks for everything, the hawk (which Marke later aptly named Haru) decided to travel with him as thanks, and lend its strength in any way possible.

Class Change: Haru allows Marke to become of the Apprentice Class

Ability: Able to use basic Seer moves (Grows later on).
Special: Paralyzes foe with a storm by flapping his wings, however, this renders him useless for a while.

  • Okay, well it looks like there's about five people interested in this (including myself). So Yeah, post your signups and that'll be good. So we'll need at least 1 character of each elemental type before allowing for repeats, so since my character is a Venus Adept, wolfsrain23 will have to change his alignment

Wolfsrain. I'll evaluate your signup and ignore alignment for now. Just a few minor issues:
    1. Your character is a little young, 18 is generally when one would graduate training from the League, and wouldn't usually be put on such a high-risk assignment. So at 18 he would need to have already been training with the League from a young age.
    2. The weapon. While your character may not know the true nature of the weapon, or what it can really do, You still need to know, and you need to let me know.
    3. The alignment, for official notice.

CRAP! I never posted my character. Okay, well. Change yours anyway. Sorry bout that guys.

    Here's me:
    Name: Lance Donovan
    Age: 24
    Gender: Male
    Alignment: Venus
    Fighting Style: Warrior
Weapon Style: Long swords, axes, or light blades. Long sword preferred.
    Home Town: Gondowan Settlement
Physical Description: Lance stands just over six feet tall. He has brown eyes and brown hair that reaches just past his shoulders and is usually tied back in a ponytail. Because of his training as part of the League of Adepts, Lance is in excellent physical condition. But as a result of this training, Lance carries all the cuts and scars that go along with it. His entire body is a mural of scars: from old, white, faded scars to new, thick, pink and puckered gashes. Lance generally doesn't wear any one outfit all the time, but he is known to wear a set of blue armor with gold accents with a yellow scarf-cape sort of number.
Personality Profile: Lance is very driven and devoted to the ideals of the League of Adepts. However he is occasionally frustrated by all the rules and "red tape" that he has to go through in order to do his job. Lance is opinionated and quite stubborn when it comes to some things. He has a strong sense of duty and loyalty to not only his friends, family, and the League, but also to himself. He has a deep sense of spirit and often meditates to calm himself and put his mind at ease. He understands the spirit of things and has a deep spirituality and connection to the world.
Brief Personal Background: Lance and his parents were among the first to move to the small Gondowan Settlement after the unsealing of Alchemy. The small Settlement slowly began to build into a rather large city-town, with Lance's father - the town jeweler - gaining a great reputation in the area. His father would obtain Psynergy stones and other precious stones from the nearby Magma Rock and cheap ores from Loho up the coast, and he would fashion them into glamorous and beautiful pieces of jewelry to sell in Tolbi and Contigo. The young Lance was particularly attached to, and amused by, a perfectly round Psynergy stone that his father had, and took it with him everywhere.

However, constant exposure to the stone caused Lance's Psynergetic powers to suddenly manifest and spike uncontrollably. A childhood nightmare sparked an unintentional release of power that took the form of a tremendous earthquake, revealing Lance's status as a Venus Adept. At only seven years old, and without anyone around who could instruct Lance on the proper use of his new powers, they raged out of control, and he became a danger to himself and those around him. It was then that Isaac and Felix, as a favor to Iodem, arrived at the Gondowan Settlement. They met with Lance and his parents and explained his abilities. They also said that they could take him to Tolbi where he would be trained to use these powers and abilities so that he would no longer be a danger. Lance's parents were reluctant, but after learning that they would be allowed to keep in contact with Lance, and that he would be well cared for, they relented, and Lance went with Isaac and Felix.

They brought him to Tolbi, to meet with Iodem and the rest of the newly formed "League of Adepts". There, Lance began training with some of the Elders of Vale, who were among the most knowledgeable teachers of Psynergy in all of Weyard. He learned fighting techniques from Isaac and some of the most skilled fighters in the world. Lance and many other young students also were taught about Psynergy and Alchemy by the scholar Kraden.

Lance spent several years in training, and would occasionally travel back to the Gondowan Settlement for a short time to visit with his parents. However, his visits became shorter and less frequent as time passed, until he saw his parents only once a year. While this indeed saddened him, Lance was dedicated to the ideals of the League of Adepts, and devoted to its cause. By his eighteenth birthday, Lance completed his training and was promoted to the rank of "Sentry", meaning he was an active member of the League of Adepts and no longer a student. He remains as one of the League's top young operatives, widely recognized for his promising potential.
Weapon(s) + Description: Gaia Blade; Isaac's old weapon. Lance received it after his graduation to the rank of "Sentry". It has a powerful "unleash" effect called "Titan Blade" in which a mighty sword is formed above the opponent before crashing down upon them.
Other Abilities: Lance is a very skilled and capable fighter, a veritable encyclopedia of fighting styles and techniques. During his training with the League of Adepts, he traveled all over Weyard to learn many different fighting styles. He learned ancient sword techniques from Izumo. He also learned unarmed martial arts from fighting monks in Fuchin Temple and Chi from Xian. Lance has also trained near Prox, where he studied the Proxian fighting techniques and the technique of withstanding temperature extremes so he is much more able to bear frigid cold of the north and the searing heat of the deserts.
Animal Adept Partner: Amon, a lion. Amon is aligned to the Mars (Fire) element. Lance first met Amon when they were both quite young, Lance himself being ten years old, and Amon being the lion equivalent of a ten year old. The lion had been separated from the rest of his pride, and was stumbled upon by Lance and several other Adepts-in-training. Their relationship started out slowly; Lance tossed the young lion bits of scraps from their camp, and Amon would quickly grab the food and retreat to eat away from them. This routine continued for some time, until Lance gained Amon's trust, and the lion was convinced he could approach safely. When the time came for Lance and his companions to leave the grasslands where Amon had met them, the young lion followed them all the way back to Tolbi. There, Kraden informed the group of Adepts about their potential partnership with animals, and Lance understood what happened between the two of them. Since that day, the two have rarely been apart. Lance has matured into a strong, confident, young adult, and Amon has grown into a massively powerful specimen of a lion. He is immense, weighing in at over 600 pounds of pure big-cat muscle. When Lance links his Psynergy with Amon, he becomes the equivalent of the "Samurai/Ronin" class.

  • Hahahahhaa! YES! REVIVAL OF.... I think I'm gonna change her name lol.... XD

    Name: Shana Fanelia
    Age: 20
    Gender: Female
    Alignment: Mars
    Fighting Style: Mage
    Home Town: Vale
    Physical Description:
Shana stands at a height of 5 feet and 2 inches making her fairly shorter than average. As a Mars Adept, it's natural to have red hair or anything along that line but Shana is different and that her hair color is pale blue. Her eyes are a red amber hue which really doesn't match well with her waist-length, pale blue hair. Her casual and battle attire consists of a white long-sleeved shirt with a black dress and a snow white cape with a hood on it. She also wears a pair of white boots and wears her hair in a single ponytail. Shana is naturally active as well as athletic so her physical self is more fit than other women. Shana also carries her father's special blade.

    Personality Profile:
Shana is surprisingly an audacious girl. She likes to travel around and doesn't mind if she breaks a sweat. Shana isn't afraid to speak her mind too especially when she has interesting ideas or the need to scold someone for their inhumane behaviors. (Yeah... be expecting of this... hahaha.. I won't curse or anything of course... XD ) Despite being an unusual girl, Shana is also a kind and caring friend. She won't hesitate to help someone whenever she can especially those unable to help themselves. She is always training herself to better improve her skills in handling the different Pysnergy skills and she is very knowledgeable when it comes to Mars Psynergies. (I think Mars sounds better than Fire... hahaha... but that's just me.)

    Brief Personal Background:
Shana's father, Rath Fanelia, was an adventurer and he visited almost all of the different lands on Weyard with the exception of a few. (He lacked a Lemurian ship so... yeah...) Though being a Venus Adept, he has the strange notion for sea travel and is able to man a ship very well provided he has enough shipmates with him. But after a few years traveling he settled down in the newly constructed town of Vale, home of the Adepts. There he met a Mars Adept, Sana Astrul. They wed, had a child, and named her Shana Fanelia after her father. And thus the existence called Shana Fanelia was brought into the world.

Shana was an odd child. She was able to manifest her Adept powers at the age of 3 without her knowing it and wasn't able to do it again until the age of 7. The boys would tease her about that making her furious much of the time. Later on through her teen years she gradually perfected her powers but was still a long ways to go. Around the village, she would give a hard time to the village boys and even fought with them just to prove her psynergy skills but she wasn't as powerful in physical strength as opposed to the boys. Shana also had a knack of sneaking around without others noticing. With the handy skill in hand, she would venture out of the village but not too far just to fight against small Bats that roamed the area. Her notable favorite skills at her level are Fume and Beam with Flare Wall following behind them. Her father would usually find her before the second battle just to carry her back into the village, and they would occasionally be ambushed by a few Wolves but Rath would easily dispatch them with a simple Mother Gaia psynergy attack. Shana would often complain about not being able to visit other continents but her father's comment was only that until her eighteenth birthday would he be able to allow her to travel about and so she waited the few years. No sooner did she turn eighteen did she get ready to leave her home of Vale to visit the other prospering lands.

She traveled about the continent of Angara and the northern Gondowan continent and learned that fun and games did not exist in the outside world. People were suffering from opposition of those who were "higher up" and who had wanted to abuse the powers they had started to gain from the broken seal of Alchemy. Unable to watch such undesirable fates the people were going through, Shana decided to join the League of Adepts lead by the ruler of Tolbi, Iodem, which she had heard so much about during her travels. There she met many Adepts like her and of the other three elements and learned more of Alchemy by the scholar Kraden himself, as well as trained with the legendary Adepts... or so they were to Shana. Shana developed powers beyond that of a regular Adept by training there and she was even more resolute than ever to protect the people.

    Weapon(s) + Description:
Golden Sun: The Genesis Halo (Signups and OOC Discussion)
(That'll help a little but I still need to word it... lol...)
Rathialos Fang- (For later use in the RP) This light blade was founded by Shana's father, Rath Fanelia, thus the initials R. F. are inscribed onto the blade along with some runes. The pommel of the blade has a magical psynergy gem embedded on it that magnifies psynergy skills and the grip is a black coloring thus the two parts make up the hilt of the blade. The blade has jagged designs near the base of the blade and then at about halfway of the blade, it becomes a straight edge to the point of the sword. Though it is a blade, it is highly more effective as a psynergy booster but it can still be used in combat when the necessity calls for it. It's unique Unleash ability is called Fanelia's Grace, which differs according to the wielder and can only be controlled by Mars or Venus Adepts. Multiple pillars of stone form into a sharp-edged like shape and become enveloped in flames and with the command of the blade, assail the enemy. The formation may differ with the user. In Shana's case, they form a drill-like shape with multiple spikes protruding from them plus they hover above her. (Remember the formations are also enveloped by flame.)

Lunestra's Rod- (For starting...) A rather simple staff-class weapon developed only for Mars Mage-class Adepts. It's rod is made of the spine of a fire dragon and is forged into a staff. The spine follows the staff from the top to the bottom and a claw design at the top's tip holds a fire ruby orb in place. The staff doesn't produce much striking power but does slightly enhance a Mars Adept's psynergy. Lunestra's Rod's special Unleash skill is called Blue Moon Flame. The skill causes blue flames to form a ring of fire around the foe and blasts heat from under the foe but only within the range of the ring. The staff's Unleash power also fluxuates with the Mars Adept who wields it. (I have so many ideas for weapon Unleashes... but I'm trying to keep it a minimum... hahaha...)

Utility Psynergy: Move, Force, Burst, Carry, Pound
    Animal Adept Partner:
Fatalis- a bunny of the Mars allignment.(Yet to grow of course XD) Fatalis' fur is a crimson red coating, and it has azure blue eyes. The fur actually has a slight imitation of the tips of flames where it curves outwards.

Shana actually mistook the lone bunny for an enemy on her way to Imil to visit Mercury Lighthouse because of it's strange red coat and struck it with a Fume psynergy attack injuring it greatly. After the attack, she realized what it was and decided to nurse it back to it's full health. She treated the bunny like a baby: feeding it, protecting it, and even giving it a worried shout at any sudden movements that could hurt it more. Before she even knew it, her bond and the bunny's was even stronger than before. After a few weeks together the crimson bunny was finally recovered. Shana was crushed at the fact of leaving it again on its own and she did it while running away with tears running down her face. Little did she know was the fact that the little bunny was chasing after her as well, unwilling to leave her. Shana broke into tears once more and embraced the bunny. She decided to take the bunny along with her and gave the bunny the name Fatalis. They traveled together to Imil, then southwards, went onboard a vessel crossing over the Karagol Sea, and then to Tolbi. After reaching Tolbi, she learned much about animal partner bonds. When Shana bonds with Fatalis, she becomes the equivalent of the "Conjurer/War Adept (Mars)" class.

  • I'd like to join if you're still accepting, here's the basic outline for my character, tell me if you need more.

    Name: Joshua Beilar

    Age: 19

    Gender: Male

    Alignment: Jupiter

    Fighting Style: Mage

    Weapon Style: Staff

    Home Town: Contigo

Physical Description: A slight young man standing around 5'8". Joshua's light brown hair falls just below his ears, and his eyes are a hazel color. He often dresses in a loose green tunic and tan pants. The belt around his waist has several pouches for emergency rations and items to be used in sticky situations. A silver pendant always adorns his neck, and he wears a small earring in his left ear.

Personality Profile: Joshua often seems distant when left alone for even the slightest amount of time. Despite this, he's quick to tease the people he considers friends. He's nearly impossible to anger, and usually blows off rude remarks with a somewhat airy smile. Psynergy is something that comes easily to him, without a painful amount of concentration, so he tends to over use it for simple things that he could do with his own hands. Joshua also has a tendency of accidently seeing more than one nearby person's thoughts when using Mind Read, which makes it harder for him to sort out the information that he desires.

Brief Personal Background: Joshua has been able manifest his powers from a young age, though with loose control powerwise. During one of these occasions he got in a fight with his best friend in Contigo and blew him into a tree, breaking his arm. After this event Joshua developed more of an interest in his ability, though for reasons other than injuring others, and learned of the League from Ivan, who had returned to Contigo to see his sister before setting off in search of more adepts. He began his journey at the age of eight, travelling with Ivan to Tolbi.

After overcoming his expected seasickness during his first sea voyage, Joshua began to learn control of his Psynergy from Ivan. He enjoyed the constant training, quickly mastering the Psynergy taught to him. During one instance, while learning how to read minds, he unintentionally read several minds at once, causing him to enter a slightly dazed state until he was given a light splash of sea water in the face. Afterwards, he tended to avoid mind reading when possible. Joshua occasionally would see vague flashes of himself mastering a new Psynergy the day before he actually did. He didn't pay much attention to the ability until after getting off the ship to travel by foot the rest of the way to Tolbi. After leaving Lalivero (That is the name of the town near where the Venus Lighthouse used to stand, correct?) he had a strangely clear glimpse of a large group of monsters blocking their path that evening. He had discarded it as his imagination until it actually happened, he then informed Ivan of any other portents he would see on their way.

After passing through the Suhala Desert, he and Ivan finally arrived in Tolbi. His training with the League proceeded much the same as it had with Ivan. During this period, he developed his fighting style with a staff when he saw how clearly he would be disadvantaged to someone who specialized in combat rather than Psynergy. Due to this, he excelled against many other adepts who focused in Psynergy during sparring matches. He received notification of his promotion to an active member of the League through another of his visions, which somewhat dulled his reaction the very next day. He received both the Psynergy Rod and the pendant he wears from Ivan that same day.

Weapon(s) + Description: Psynergy Rod: Joshua carries the slender metal staff he received as a present from Ivan strapped across his back. He wields it much like any other person would a Bo staff, striking with both ends rather than just the top. It unleashes an attack to seal an enemy's skills.

Other Abilities/Skills: As previously mentioned, Joshua can read more than one mind at a time, though he wouldn't call it a skill, simply bad luck. Like many Jupiter adepts, Joshua can see into the future, though to a lesser extent. He often receives vague flashes of what is about to happen (Usually that day or the very next).

    Animal Adept Partner:

    Name: Aine

    Species: House Cat- Siamese

    Alignment: Mercury

History: Shortly after leaving Contigo Joshua came across Aine while she was swimming around in a small pond. He dove in for the cat, unaware that it had been simply playing in the water. Unlike most of the feline family, Aine seemed to have a fascination with water. After this incident she followed Joshua warily for a few days, displaying uncanny perception as to his intent. After leaving food out for the cat one night, he discovered her sleeping peacefully at his feet the next morning. They have been together ever since. When linking with Aine, Joshua gains the abilities of the Sage class.

  • Uzumaki_Naruto: Nice to see you back. Accepted.

Kivros: Good signup, but a few small issues:
    1. These days, Psynergy and Adept-ness is well known and documented, so your character would have known what it was, and so would the villagers around him. He wouldn't have been an outcast.
    2. I need a longer background section. See mine or Uzumaki_Naruto's signup for an example of what I'm looking for.

So now we have a Venus, Mars, and Jupiter Adept. I'm looking for mercury, and then I can start allowing repeats.
