Young Guardians are like medieval peasants: No schooling whatsoever, but they learn how to read in their later years, when they enter their guild. Why? Money was important in the medieval time period, only the rich had the privilege to learn. When you become a Guardian, you're a knight for Arceus and your kingdom, and so you get top quality education.

my first rp as a human character, so, I guess I might not be accepted
Name: Shadow John Boxer
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Appearance: Pale skin and green eyes. Wears a white shirt, black trousers and a big black cloak. Flame ensignia on the back of the cloak. His hair is short and black, like charcoal .
Aura: Steel
Guild: Hoenn guild
History: Shadow lived in lavaridge town to train with the expert bowmakers and users. His bow was made by the village elder when he was only two. it was made from special wood that was blessed by the guardian of the forest: a roselia. Because of this, his bow will never be too small, or too big, and cannot be affected by most fire. As a small child he showed a great tallent for archery and also had a strange intrest in fire. When being taught by his father, shadow did not seem to be very bright, and slow to react. However, when was put in a life or death situation, he reacted faster that most trained warriors. his father said he had the instincts of a wolf from then on. Shadow spent most of his childhood messing about with fire, lighting and trying to eat, and shooting trees. because of this, he currently has no intrest in others, and only joined the guild to play with fire, so to say.

Shadow's only known family is his father, who trained him before he joined the guild, because most of his fathers side are dead, and his mother ran away when he was strong enough to survive without her help. because of this, he had no "motherly figure" to impose kindness on/into him. Shadow is known throughout lavaridge because of his pyromania. only his father understands when he is emotional. So, ever since he joined the guild, he has become more anti-social.
Hometown: Lavaridge town
Weapon: Bow + Arrows. The bow is made from an oak tree that fell in a storm. the forest guardian roselia blessed the wood to keep the tree alive in the hearts of many(literally!). The feathers on the arrows came from a swellow. When the arrows fly(until they hit the desired target), anything that they touch receives giant pain.
Powermon: Aron. Shadow calls it Ironhide. He found it in the remains of a collapsed cave and tamed it by helping it out and freeing it. The problem with ironhide is that it has trouble when trying to communicate.
Their Moves: Iron head, Iron defence, Take down, Metal burst, Dragon rush(if egg move allowed)/Iron tail(if not).
Uniquenesses: Ironhide has difficulty communicating with guardians. Also, he has a red line on his back.

Name: Rehoma Tanto Sarusagie

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Appearance: Rehoma is 5'10" 145 lbs. He has reddish-brown hair that comes down over his eyes. The back of his hair has been messed up like someone put their hand on it and moved it around. The top is messy like the back. He has grey-blue eyes that seems to flick from to grey and blue depending where the light reflects off of it. He wears a orange sleeveless undershirt with a black zip-up hoodie over it. He wears a pair of orange shorts with black cargo pockets. He has a black flat bill hat with a orange R and orange bill. Rehoma has a skull necklace for good luck. His shoes are black tennis shoes with an orange Nike Swoosh on it. His skin is red at the face . He wears red rimmed sunglasses, and carries a black bag with a red-orange fire emblem on the outside. He uses it to carry the food that Amber and sumi eat. He has a quiver that is orange, and connects to a black belt around his waist. His bow string goes diagonally across his chest coming to the actual bow against his back.

Personality: He is a very calm/protective person, but if you get on his bad side then he wil "explode". If you are a friend of him then he will be a great friend and he won't try to kill you. He loves his "puppies", so to speak, and will do anything to keep them alive. He thinks he is too cool for some things and won't do anyhting that might bring on embarrassment. If he does something that is different then, he does for the safety of his friends and family. He is very prideful and sometimes it gets the better of him.

History: Let's start when Rehoma was born. He was born in Goldenrod City, but moved to Olivine shortly after. Throughout his life his mom and dad had fire Pokémon, so he loved them. When he turned 6, his mom had a heart attack. His dad had two children to raise by himself, so he decided to teach Rehoma all about pokémon. When Rehoma turned 11 his dad told him it was time to get his own pokémon. He took Rehoma to a forest where he got his first pokémon. He walked around the forest a little while, but when was about to get ready to go home; he came into a clearing. That's when he came across a houndour getting attacked by a tyrouge. This is when he found his true power.

Houndour let out a wild ember attack when Rehoma covered his face with his arms instinctively. The fire was absorbed by the arms, and Rehoma didn't feel tired anymore. Rehoma ran after, and hit the tyrouge with a blind shot. The tyrouge turned around and hit Rehoma with an Ice Punch. As a reaction Rehoma caught the punch and the Pokémon's hand started to sizzle. The tyrouge pilled back his hand, but Rehoma wouldn't let go. Houndour got up and hit the tyrouge with a powerful Iron Tail, but the tyrouge didn't even flinch at the hit. Hazel, Rehoma's sister, ran into the clearing amazed at the sight in front of her. Rehoma told her to go home, but she refused to listen. She ran to hold the houndour when the tyrouge ripped from the grasped of Rehoma and tackled Hazel.

Rehoma became furious at the tyrouge. He rushed in at hit the tyrouge with his fist to knock him off of his sister. He got on top of him and started to hit the tyrouge with all he had. The houndour grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him off. The tyrouge got up and ran off into the woods. Rehoma sat up indian style in front of the houndour. The houndour sat down as if to talk to him

Rehoma got up ready to leave when the Houndour bent his head to get petted. Hazel ran up to Rehoma and hugged him. She bent down to pet the dog and it came up like a scared puppy. Rehoma asked the Houndour if he wanted to go home with him when he said yes. Rehoma was shocked when he heard the Pokémon speak. On the way home the houndour explained all that was fuzzy. Rehoma decided to call him Sumi

It had been a year since Sumi came home with Rehoma, Hazel had been hospitalized and was fatally sick. She told Rehoma to get her favorite Pokémon in her memory. He set out to find the great growlithe. It had been weeks since Rehoma had heard her last request, when he heard of a thieving Pokémon. He ran down to find a growlithe growling at a kid with a lollipop. Sumi told Rehoma that he would take care of it, but Rehoma told him they would do it together. Sumi rushed in, and took to the ground without it knowing. The two scrambled when he heard Sumi whimper. He rushed in to touch the forehead of the growlithe, but when he did it didn't do anything. Sumi backed out with a crack of his head plate over his left eye. Rehoma wrestled with the Pokémon until he pinned it. He touched it between the eyes the same way he did with Sumi. It stopped and went limp like it was dead. Rehoma started to cry when one of his tears hit the limp Pokémon and sizzled.

It got up and told Rehoma her name was Amber. So, the three of them went home to show Hazel. When they got home Hazel was in her room. They went up and Hazel was looking out of the window. Hazel turned around to see Amber standing there. She went over to pet her when she fell over. They rushed over to help her when she said thank you for letting me see my favorite Pokémon, then died. Her hand opened to unveil a blue earring. At her funeral they put the blue earring on Amber in remembrance of her. He started to hunt stantler with his dad he got his bow (see details in the weapon).

Hometown: Olivine City

Weapon: He has a maple long bow with maple arrows that have Ruby tips. His string was taken from the mane of a Rapidash; so it burst into flame as he uses it.

Powermon: Sumi, my male houndour
Amber, my female growlithe

Their Moves: Ember, Fire Fang, Iron Tail, Return, and Dark Pulse for Sumi. Swift, Fire Spin(not the sucky game type), Secret Power, Bite, and Toxic for Amber.

Uniquenesses: Sumi has a crack above his left eye on his head piece. Rehoma's sister really loved Sumi, so she gave him a orange bracelet, and put it on his right foreleg. Amber was given a blue ring to put on her right ear.

Name: David Knight

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Appearance: David has a spiky black hair that is hidden under his blue of france hat. The way he wears it makes a little bit of his hair to be seen. He has blue eyes and white skin. Just a glimpse into his eyes and you imagine yourself in the sky. He is well grown for his age being neither to fat or to skinny.
He likes to wear comfortable clothes like shorts, jeans , T-shirt or shirts. Most of the time you'll see him wearing a pair of blue jeans that are eclipsed by his green T-shirt that has a V shaped model on it and he'll surely wear a pair of red sneakers. When the weather gets colder he'll put on his black jacket and his blue scarf.
David doesn't have any recent wounds or any scare. The only thing strange on his body is that he has a very interesting birth mark on his left shoulder "a perfect shaped rose".

Personality: David is a very kind and careing guy , he is very determined in what he does espacially when someone he cares for is involved. The desire to help his loved ones makes him forget about his own safety. He is very modest and well mannered, trusts his instinct and always tries to make the right decisions.

Aura : Grass

History: ........David was born in Floaroma town and his love to nature has developed since then. His parents always let him play outdoors. As he grew he wandered of more and more exploring deep forests until he got to Eterna forest and was stunned by it's beauty.
...................One day as he went on a walk through the forest he heard a cry from a nearby bush. He rushed toward the bush and found an eevee that had it's neck stuck in some branches . He immediately set her free and put her down on a patch of leaves and went to find an oran tree to give some to eevee to eat. When he came back he saw eevee being surrounded by some beedrill. The beedrill were furious because they thought of eevee as an intruder that will try to harm they're new-born babys. David dropped the oran berries that he was carrying and ran to protect eevee. He went and pushed over some beedrill just in time to put himself beetwen eevee and a beedrill that went toward her with his needle. David got stung in is shoulder but he didn't care about it, he was only concerned about eevee's safety. Eevee saw that David cared about her and then for the first time it used the move "hidden power" and took down all he beedrill.
...................David grabbed her and ran as fast as he could away from the nearby nest , the only thing was that one of the beedrill regianed it's consciousness and followed them. David ran as fast as he could , going through bushes and avoiding wild pokemon . He took left near a tree only to find him in front of a dead end. He turned around but the beedrill was already there. They were cornered. He put eevee down and stood in front of the bedrill. The beedrill went toward him with it's sharp needle. Eevee saw a nearby bush filled with roses, it ran and got one and threw it to David. He kept the rose in front of his face thinking only about protecting eevee . As beedrill's neddle was just about to hit David a strage emerald light came out of the rose , making it's petals fall off and go toward beedrill. The petals hit it like knifes making beedrill faint for good this time. After that the glowing from the rose faded away. but not before it surrounded David , the rose transforming into a wodden shaped staff that had a flower bud on top of it. That was when David realised that he could control Aura.
...................After that he took eevee home and since then they are close friends. David named her "Rose" because she was the one that saved him and gave her o pink collar with the same flower that saved him on it.
...................As time passed they become stronger together through training and determination. When he was 15 years old he said it was time to go and search for a guild so that he could train the propper way and control his Aura. He searched for about a month until he found one. It's been 11 months since he has entered the guild and has trained hard. Despite he can't comunicate via mind with Rose because she isn't a grass type , their bond makes them understand each others needs and actions. David just didn't see the need for Rose to evolve , he will let her decide when she wants to make that step.

Hometown: Floaroma Town

Weapon : A staff made of wood. At the top of it ,it has a bulb that is surrounded by leafs but nobody has ever seen it bloom. With it ,when he has total control of his emotions and is in perfect sync with his powermon, he can conrol nature around him (make plants grow) and can make leafs or vines come out of the staff.

Powermon: Eevee
Gender - Female
Nickname - Rose (eevee will later evolve into a leafeon , i just think that if it's still an eevee now it would make things more interesting for the caracter to work with it and it will spoil the fun if it has already evolved :P, if it's not ok i'll change and say that it has already evolved :| )

Moves: Quick Attack , Bite , Hidden Power (grass) , Dig and Wish (egg move)

Uniquenesses: It wears a collar that has a pink rose on it "it is a gift from David when they first met" (and if the SU is good enough i would like eevee to be shiny :) )

Name: Hotaru "Tari" Ora Shinigami

Age: 15, born Feb. 15

Gender: Female

Appearance: Hotaru stands at 5'3" weighing in at 115 lbs making her a petite teen. She has raven feather black hair that may look almost blue in some light. It drops just below her shoulders. Her skin is a lush peach color and when she blushes, which is rare, it's close to a magenta. Her eyes are a dark amber almost red like in darker lighting causing others to be highly frighten of her.

She wears a purple and black cape as these are two of her signature colors. It stops just below her hips. Her shirt is tight fitting, almost like a jumpsuit. The cuffs of it are a light gold. On her hands she wears white gloves, but will take them off when she is not having to use aura. She wears black leggings that match her cap and light gold socks that match her shirt's cuffs. On her feet she wears purple cargo boots that matches the dark purple of the inside of her cape.

Tari is hardly ever seen smiling, most known to be seen with a mixture of a smirk of a grin. People will normally tell her to cheer up because of this, but more than likely she will be happy. She's not really a smiler of any kind except when she's laughing, but then she will try her best to hide it by covering her mouth. Her posture is always correct, but she doesn't bother slouching every now and again.

Guild: Johto - Dark Guild

History: Hotaru was born in Ecruteak being the second child to her parents. Her older brother was named Kichiro and he owned a Poochyena named Lupe. The two were very close siblings, always getting into mishief together. He would even take her to the Komono Dance Theater to watch the many shows. Her brother was the main reason at how she obtained Diablo because he caught him for her. Diablo was the key that always tied them together. They both were highly fascinated in the Bell Tower, but were often told not to go there.


One night, Hotaru watched her brother sneak off to the tower to explore, promising that she wouldn't tell their parents. She waited in eerie silence that night, waiting for his return. That morning, she was struck with shock when she realized her brother hadn't returned home. Her parents were searching frantically for their son and she finally cracked under pressure. A search team was sent to the Tower, but the only thing they found were the bodies of Kichiro and Lupe dead but unharmed.


Hotaru was shaken by her brother's death and vowed never to go near the tower ever again. The pain of his death always struck her in her dreams, crying out for her brother's return. She would always awaken in a cold sweat or by being shaken by her father. Diablo stayed at her side as she was constantly striken by grief and the dreams, even when her mother finally disappeared one day, possibly because she was haunted by Kichiro's death too. Every time she walked around town she could easily imagine Kichiro with her, Lupe and Diablo play fighting behind them.


The dreams later caused her to grow a distrust towards Ghost Powermon making her hate her town's Gym Leader completely. She began to blame the dream and her brother's death on all Ghost Powermon. This was later set aside when she found a weaken Sneasel one day just outside of the tower. For some reason she felt a chilling tug to help the Powermon, despite Diablo's tugs and whimpers and her promise to herself. She took the Sneasel home and nursed her back to health, naming her Raven. For once, Hotaru slept peacefully that night.


Raven and Diablo became Hotaru's closest friends, causing her to become anti-social towards other girls her age. Every boy she saw would somehow remind her of Kichiro, but she learned to fight the struggle until she was suddenly hit by another pain. The pain was unimaginable, but she couldn't figure out what it was. One day she ran into a member of the Dark Guild who quickly identified her as a user of the Dark Aura. Hotaru quickly called her Powermon to protect her, but before they could react, she and the member were suddenly surrounded by a swath of darkness and swallowed whole.


When Hotaru came to her senses, she found herself to be surrounded by other members of the Dark Guild. They quickly explained to her the power of Aura and why she went through these constant pains. For once, Hotaru felt accepted in life again and a suddeny spark of hope. These people had something in common with her. She agreed to become a member of the Dark Guild so she could learn how to control the Aura as she wasn't going to go through another episode of pain again.

Hometown: Ecruteak City

Weapon: Tari carries a staff which is similar to Sir Aaron's. Her jewel however is purple instead of blue. She is able to make it appear before her in a cloud of smoke and make it disappear if she has to so she doesn't always have to carry it by hand.

Powermon: Houndour "Diablo" & Sneasel "Raven"

Their Moves:
Houndour- Thunderfang, Shadowball, Flamethrower, Smog, Counter
Raven- Icy Wind, Night Slash, Aerial Ace, Whirlpool, Dig

Uniquenesses: Diablo and Raven have an ongoing rivalry at always trying to out do the other which usually leads the group into trouble. This can sometimes be a problem when it comes to Hataru's training, but she easily able to to silence the two by either yelling or using Aura. Their rivalry is also based after cat and dog as Sneasel is based off a cat and Houndour is based off a dog.


Diablo received a nick in his ear once while fighting Raven when they were younger and it never healed. He continues to hold a grudge for this. He is very protective of Hotaru as he was her first Powermon. He is truely a loyal partner, but can be a tad impatient at times. When he evolves into Houndoom, the nick still doesn't heal and it is visible in his horn.


Raven is more of a cunning trickster, always causing trouble when she isn't training, most preferably on Diablo. She isn't very open to other humans, but is very affectionate towards Hotaru. This is the main reason her rivalry between Diablo started as he didn't like the fact she could easily gain attention. Whenever she is annoyed, she will fire an Icy Wind; sometimes the attack will be like an annoyed sigh unless if her temper gets the best of her.

As Shadow brushed his black hair away, Ironhide ran up to him and bit his leg. "what?" asked Shadow in an annoyed tone. As Ironhide ran over to the job board, Shadow looked around the guild. The metal structure covered in fabric was shaped like the jaws of a mawile. Shadow looked at the notice board.'Tauros rampaging in town, HELP' "Hmm" As Shadow thought about it, It seemed a bit simple. "perfect! Ironhide, get my cloak!" As the small metal pokemon ran towards his bedroom, Shadow pulled an arrow to his bow. He took one shot and impaled it deep in a tree. As Shadow pulled the arrow out, Ironhide crawled over with his cloak.

Instantly, Shadow could see the destruction caused by the tauros, there was a giant smash in the town hall. "please... help me..." An injured child had crawled up to him. Shadow bent down and gave the child some medical supplies. "take these, and share them". Suddenly, out of no-where, one of the tauros charged straight at him! He jumped out of the way, but the other one started charging at Ironhide. Shadow pushed him out the way and knocked an arrow to his bow and took a shot. It missed, but released a rope. The rope tangled around the legs of the tauros and took it down. Shadow went and put it in a muzzle. "AARGH!" As Shadow turned round, he saw how crazy the tauros really was. "poor child..." He said as he took aim at the tauros' neck. 'ping!' The arrow buried itself in tauros and it fell over. "Pointless" Shadow commented, surveying the town. Leaving all his medical supplies with the mayor, Shadow set off to the guild.
On his way back, Shadow took the route through a forest. Ironhide ran off ahead, but suddenly there was a sense of danger. Fearing the worst, Shadow ran to try to catch up with Ironhide. "Woah!" Shadow tripped over a seviper. The seviper slithered up to Shadow, and bit him, injecting the poison from it's fangs into his leg. losing consciousness, Shadow tried to send Ironhide a message, telling him to get help.
The last thing he saw was a wurmple crawling over his face...

Hotaru lay in her bed as night had taken over Ecruteak City. Her Powermon, Diablo and Raven slept silently below her bunk in different corners, far away from each other as possible. She continued to replay her meeting early today running into a member of the Dark Guild. Everything had seemed like a dream, but she knew she had been awake. Everything had been real from being swallowed by darkness and making the agreement to join the Guild. She set up in her bed; now that she had agreed, how was she actually going to join?

Diablo suddenly rose to his paws, ears perked, and he began to growl. This caught Hotaru's attention and she looked down from her bed seeing her Houndour approaching the window. A shadow eliminated from it and a quick rap of a tap was heard. The tapping was repeated causing Diablo to growl even louder, and awakening an annoyed Raven. The Sneasel quickly got to her paws, preparing a Shadow Ball.

"Stop!" Hotaru commanded the Powermon.

She got to her feet and made her way over towards the window to find a small black bird Powermon. The recognized clearly from his broom like tail, feather-crest head, and bent beaked.

"Murkrow," she whispered. "But how would one get here?"

"Sneasel! Sneasel SneSneasel." <Bad luck! That's what they are.> Raven growled.

"So many people truly believe that."

Hotaru quickly looked out the window; she knew that voice! She had heard it earlier from today. She glanced around catching nothing in sight as the Murkrow sat on her window pane. The Murkrow glided into her room, landing a few yards away from her on the floor. She began to walk towards the Powermon when she felt a sudden pain stabbing at her, causing her to drop to her knees.

"Don't hurt yourself."

"Who are you?" Hotaru challenged, struggling back to her feet. Her Powermon quickly aided her in support. "Show yourself!"

The Murkrow cocked its head, flapping its wings as a black hole appeared on the floor. The figure began to grow upward, taking on the shape of a human. Hotaru stared in amazement at this as it turned out to be a true human. His black hair was cropped short, some falling into his face. The rest of him was disguised in a huge black coat that dropped all the way to his feet. This was the same Dark Guild member she had met earlier today.

"The name's Kagemaru," he replied. "I see you've already met Don. Hotaru, are you ready to go?"

"You mean I have to leave my home?" she questioned.

"Only to meet the rest of the team, but that's if you pass the test."

"What test?"

"Follow me."

Hotaru stared at him as he suddenly disappeared before her eyes. She looked at Don who flew back out of the window into the night. Her Powermon gazed at her with confusion; they knew very well the pain she went through. She shrugged, going to her window and sitting on the window pane. She didn't see anyone.

"How am I supposed to follow you if you aren't around?" she yelled into the darkness.

"Murkrow!" <Up here!>

Don was sitting on top of her roof, gazing down at her. Hotaru cocked a smiled; this was too easy of a test. She had scaled to the top of her roof many of times as a little kid with her brother. Kichiro…guide me up will ya? She glanced back at her Powermon and made her way to the top. Raven came quickly behind her in seconds, the climb being easy for her for having claws. Diablo, however, gazed uneasily from the window. He didn't have any claws to help him, just paws.

"Diablo!"

"He must learn to scale the high places if he is to be your partner as well," Kagemaru said as he appeared. "Or you can make him appear here."

"But…how?"

"You have a gift of using the Aura. We have the powers of the shadows as we are those of the Dark. You may become a shadow on the wall and scale to the highest places or you can simply create a shadow portal for him."

"I can't do any of that!"

"Try it!"

Hotaru flinched at the harshness of his tone. She looked back down at her helpless Pokemon. Oh Diablo, how am I'm supposed to get you here? She quickly closed her eyes, imaging the same black sink hole that had swallowed her up only to spit her into her into the lair of the Dark Guild. How did they do it was all she needed to know.

"Hound!"<Hotaru!>

Her eyes flew open at the bark, turning around to see Diablo staring in shock as he sat on the roof with them. Kagemaru only chuckled, running to the edge of the roof and jumping to the nearest one. Don glanced at the group before taking to the sky after his master, leaving the trio. Raven was the first to dash after them, landing gracefully onto the next rooftop. She looked back at the group.

"Sneasel. Sneasel Sneasel Snease." <Its easy. Just do a running jump and you'll be fine.>

Diablo and Hotaru exchanged a glance and nodded. She took a deep breath and did exactly what Raven had instructed. Landing on the other side, she realize it hadn't been so hard as she had imagined it. She turned to see Diablo leaping from the roof and landing beside her with he exact grace Raven had done. They had this easily. Turning her eyes to the sky, she caught sight of Don flying over a roof top that was further head. The group took to their feet, jumping across rooftop like shadows of the night. They finally came to Kagemaru and Don.

"Not bad," Kagemaru replied, folding his arms. "But now here's the hardest part. Scaling the tower."

Hotaru froze. She had kept to her promise for far too long and she wasn't going to break it now.

"Do you fear of it? A true person wanting to be in the Guild wouldn't let a fear take over them. Its not like we're going inside where your brother died."

"How do you know about Kichiro?" Hotaru demanded

"We see all, my sweet. Now follow me if you dare to the top of the tower."

He then disappeared before her eyes. Don stared at the group once more before taking to the sky; he flew all the way to the top of the tower where the bells were kept. Hotaru knew hardly anyone went up to the top of the tower where the shrine was except the Gym Leader himself. Thinking this over throughly, Raven began to make her across the final roof tops stopping just below the first eave of the tower she could reach. Diablo nudged his trainer.

"Houndour." <We got this.>

"You're right," she replied.

The two then leaped after Raven and climbed onto the first eave. She pressed herself against the wall, not knowing what would be the easiest way to scale this. Diablo walked towards the edge of the eave, gazing over everything and looking up towards the next one. He watched as Raven leaped up onto the next one, causing him to growl in frustration. She quickly made a face at him and continued to make her way to the top. Diablo barked and made his way up after her.

Hotaru stared in shock at her Powermon, but realized Raven was only doing this to get Diablo moving. She noticed how Diablo had easily grabbed onto the edge of the eave where the point was. She made her way to the end of the eave and did the same. In a matter of minutes, the group were making their way up to the top of the tower, amazing Hotaru herself. They finally reached the top, being just barely out of breath. A light was eliminating from the shrine, making her peep over to see an Umbreon. She then climbed over into the shrine. As she hit the grown, the sudden pain came over her again.

"Nice work," Kagemaru said appearing in front of her. His smile vanished as he saw her in pain. "You won't have to wait much longer."

"Define how much," she replied through clenched teeth.

She watched as Kagemaru put his hand to the ground and all the shadows around them began to race towards it. It developed another black hole before her eyes. He nodded towards her before leaping into the whole. The Umbreon followed after him and soon after Don as well. Raven raced after them, Diablo hard on her heels, leaving Hotaru to gaze after them. She looked once over her shoulder and jumped into the dark hole, closing her eyes.

Opening them again she found herself in a room with her Powermon and Kagemaru. Don and the Umbreon were with him, staring at her intentively. They said nothing and made their way through a hallway. Hotaru and her Powermon followed after them, making sure not to fall behind. They then entered a room where a person in a black jacket sat. They got to their feet, removing the hood to reveal theirself as a girl. She looked just a tad older than Kagemaru. Now that she thought of it, Kagemaru didn't look too much older than her.

"You have done well, Hotaru," the girl replied, smiling. Her blonde hair fell to her shoulders and her blue eyes sparkled with something Hotaru couldn't read. "Are you ready to become a member of the Dark Guild?"

"I thought that was my test," Hotaru said, clenching her teeth. The pain overcame her again causing her to let out a gasp and fall back to her knees. She clenched her side, but struggled back to her feet. She wasn't going to let it take her now, but the pain seemed far worse than it ever had been.

"You fight the pain well for such a beginner....very well, Kagemaru, you shall mentor her. I trust you well with her even though she is your first. Don't fail us."

Kagemaru gasped, staring at her but nodded. Saying nothing, he began to
walk towards another hallway, glancing back at Hotaru. Hotaru hesistated, but soon followed him. She glanced back once at the girl, seeing her being swallowed by the shadows. Something didn't seem right about this place and she was sure.

"That was Kurayami," Kagemaru said, not turning around. The Umbreon walked ahead of him lighting the way through the dark hallway. "She is our leader so its best to stay on her good side. I can't believe she's intrusted me with you though..."

"I'm your first, huh?" Hotaru teased. She could tell he was nervous about this now. She looked back at her Powermon and winked. "Was bringing me your first mission too?"

"Ha that's not a true mission. I've led many here over the past 2 years, well almost 3 now." He paused letting her catch up to his side. "And no one mentioned anything about missions."

"Lucky guess."

"Anyway..I've introduced myself and Don. The Umbreon is mine as well; her name is Luna. And this, is the team."

Hotaru stared in amazement as they came into a coridor full of other people in black jackets and random Powermon. She noticed all the Powermon were Dark types. Many turned to look at them and acknowledge their prescences. She couldn't help but shuffled over towards Kagemaru.

"There's nothing to worry about," he chuckled. "We're all family here, all tied by the Dark Aura. Now let me show you to our room."

"So...I can't return home?"

"It's only you room when you decide to stay or if you're not from Ecruteak City. Since your family stays here you probably won't use your room as much like other members. But again, its our room." He stopped at a keypad, punching in a code.

Hotaru watched as the doors slide open revealing a room. It reminded her much of her own only it had two bunk beds. She wasn't sure why until she saw Don and Luna jumped onto the bottom bunk of one bed. She realized even the Powermon were offered a bed to sleep. Seeing this, she selected the the bed that hadn't jumped on as her own.

Kagemaru went over to a door, revealing it to be a closet. Hotaru watched as he took off his jacket, hanging it up. Her eyes widen in disbelief as she saw what he was wearing. His dark brown hair was now visible above his ice blue eyes. He wore a red shirt with a white "w" marking across the middle. His khaki cargo pants fell all the way to his black sneakers. Hotaru couldn't help but feel a bit over dressed.

"That's so much better," Kagemaru sighed sitting on the bed with his Powermon. He rubbed the ear of Luna and Don perched on his shoulder. "The other jacket in there will belong to you when we go out on our missions and when we are called to meetings. It must be worn at all times for those situations, unless if you're one of those who becomes super attached to you jacket and like to wear it outside of meetings and missions."

"I doubt that," Hotaru replied, her eyes shifting back to his face. "How old are you anyway?"

"17. You know Tari, I think you're going to like it here."

"Tari?" "How can you be so sure?"

"Because you're exactly like me when I first got here."

Suddenly the room began to flash red, catching Hotaru off guard. She hadn't
noticed the red bulb near the corner of the room until now. Kagemaru quickly got off of his bed and raced to his closet, putting his jacket on again. He then threw the other jacket towards her. She slipped into it just in time seeing him motioning for her to follow. They then made their way back towards the area where she had met Kurayami. Now the room was filled with people in black jackets and Powermon. Her own began to press closer to her for comfort.

"What's going on?" she whispered.

"Kurayami has called an annoucement," he explained.

He exchanged a glance with Don who was still on his shoulder while Luna paced at his feet. They watched in silence as a person came in front of the crowd, Hotaru guessing it to be Kurayami. The crowd fell silent as a Sableye appeared on her shoulder. Hotaru suddenly cringed at the sight of the Powermon. Kagemaru caught sight of this.

"Whats wrong?" he questioned.

"I don't trust any ghost Powermon," she snapped.

Kagemaru stared at her in confusion for a moment until it seemed as his eyes had flashed. He sighed and smiled sympathetically. "Not to worry. Sableye are part Dark as well and Siniestro wouldn't have anything to do with your brother's death. Kurayami has had him since she was a young child. She's just two years older than me."

"Well...I still don't trust him."

"Welcome everyone of the Dark Guild," Kurayami began. "I am Kurayami, your leader and this is my partner, Siniestro. Some of you are probably wondering why I am addressing us. To answer your questions, Kagemaru please step forward with your new apprentice."

Hotaru watched in dismay as the crowd turned to look at her mentor. A path opened infront of them and Kagemaru stepped forward, alongside with his Powermon. She quickly raced after him in quick strides, making sure not to fall behind. They finally came to the front where Kurayami stood. Their leader took off her hood and nodded for them to do the same.

"Here before you all is our newest member, Hotaru Shinigami and her Powermon, Diablo and Raven."

How does she know all of this?

"Please welcome her warmily to our family as she will go under training to control the power of Aura. With this said, as a ritual we watch as our newest go through their first mission alongside their mentor. Hotaru, you must stop a feuding Zangoose and Seviper before they kill the innocent or each other. Do you understand?"

"I do," Kagemaru replied. "We will not fail you all. We got this, don't we Tari?" His Powermon saluted her as well.

"I-I do," Hotaru echoed, an annoyed expression crossing her face. What gave him the right to call her "Tari"? She could only nod in agreement while her Powermon mimicked Kagemaru's.

"Then lets get this moving," Kurayami grinned.

She placed out her hand and suddenly a black and blue portal formed before them. Kagemaru and his Powermon walked through it without any hesistation. Hotaru, however, could only watch him go. Where could this portal possibly lead? She glanced back at Kagemaru who nodded in encouragement. Turning her vision to the crowd, they too seemed to be waiting for her to move.

"Is this safe?" she couldn't help asking.

"Oh yes, very safe."

Hotaru still didn't seem convince about this until she was suddenly given a hard shove from behind. This caught her off guard, causing her to fall into the portal. Her Powermon quickly leapped after her. The last thing she saw was Kurayami's wicked grin as the portal began to close.
