He gives it to you when you first talk to him. You have to find him first, of course.
Baro already answered this: No. The main reason for this is because different pokemon replace the original pokes in each version (for example, Plug Oink replaces X pokemon in Quartz, but replaces a different pokemon in Marble), whcih will mess up the trade and result in you getting a bad egg.
Anyway, I have a question of my own:
What are you supposed to get in the Secret Tunnel? Dr. Kayuko wants me to get some item for him but I can't find it and have no idea what it is. I did nothing that something "shiny" was stuck in one of the walls, and when I search the obvious statue, nothing happens.
Help?
Other than that, I've finished this beta, and am very impressed Baro.
BTW, I'll be providing you guys with a Fakedex and a walkthrough. Baro has agreed to this so I guess I'll be the official "FAQer" for this game. <_<
I can also answer any questions you guys may have.
Edit: I got another question for Baro. If we can't trade, how are we supposed to evolve Parnot?
I don't remember right now how does Parnot exactly evolve, although unless I messed up it's either level or fire stone, less likely friendship. Anyway, it'd be possible (although I'll make it not necessary) to trade POKéMON with other marble games without ****ups, something like Zel did in shiny gold.
When you have the Kayuko key, the statue that is after curry and Kid will give you the orange package (which contains parts of some machine made by DR. Kayuko)... if it doesn't, it's a bug, although it shouldn't bother you too much since it'll only affects things that will happen on beta 3.
By the way, the shiny thing stuck on the rock is nuggets that you can get with explosion, is the secret that ALL the dungeons have. (remind me to tell you all of them, for the FAQ)

And how many maps is the rainbowpolis going to be? each district?
Each district will have a map. I've been trying things and finally did [part] of the map script, to be more specific, a script that showed you violet district from indigo district. In the end I'm not doing it with warps because it was a mess, I prefer to make 7 different scripts with 49 movements (just to move the camera from each district to the rest), and then more camera movements to show each district.
The whole map (level, not talking about the script) is 100x75 (the maximum allowed, at least for a width of 100). I would make it bigger (using two level maps) but this way it's not THAT tiring going from one place to another, and the different special buildings are sepparated enough.

why its called pokemon marble
The name is aleatory, as quartz was, and ruby, sapphire, emerald, gold, silver, cristal, red, blue, (yellow no because it was pikachu) and probably diamond and pearl. But, as well as quartz ended up having magic rods made of quartz to be used in quartztower town, marble will have a town (in the style of quartztower in quartz) named Marbletower.
