Since it hasn't been a month yet, I can still post here.
I am announcing I will be making Mac friendly Hacking Programs, I'll release a thread for my first release, which will be iMap, when I'm close to a beta.
I know alot of you Mac users are going to be excited over this :3
Yes, thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!! I've recently gotten into the Pokemon ROM hacking scene, but was completely and utterly devastated when I found that there were no hacking tools for the Mac!
found out my problem...im using a powerpc, not an intel mac, is there any windows emulator for a powerpc mac?
Yes, I'm on a PowerPC Mac myself (iMac G5), and there are quite a few Windows emulators for it.
They are:
Virtual PC 7.0.3 (PPC Compatible ONLY)
Price: Discontinued
(No longer supported my Microsoft. They even removed its page on their website!)
Notes: Has a few nice features and is considered the fastest out of all the PPC Windows emulators (but not by much).
Guest PC 1.9.7 (PPC Compatible ONLY)
Price: $69.99
Website:
https://www.lismoresystems.com/en/
Notes: The emulator I'm currently using. Its speed is reasonable (as reasonable as you can get when emulating a different architechure) and is definitely faster than the other two emulators listed below. It also probably has the best support for USB devices. Worth it for the price, however, it seems to be dead as it hasn't been updated by the devs for almost 2 years.
Q 0.90a89 (Universal (PPC/Intel Compatible))
Price: Free
Website:
https://www.kju-app.org/kju/
Notes: The emulator I first tried. Definitely well supported, and if you're only using it to run those ROM hacking programs, should be quite fine.
iEmulator 1.7.9 (Universal)
Price: $23.95
Website:
https://www.iemulator.com/
Notes: Complete ripoff of Q! Check here for more information:

If I've missed any, please let me know, although I think I have gotten all of them.
Another option is that if you have a Windows PC stashed somewhere in your house, you can use Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection 2.0 (Universal) to remotely connect to your PC and use it on your Mac at a much faster speed than an emulator (as long as your internet connection is fast enough).
