4th Gen Have you got a shiny?

Well recently i found my old R4 SDHC and put a translated Soul Silver on and i was trying to capture the Fa'fetch in Ilex forest i went into a wild pokemon battle and i found a shiny kakuna!
I put it in the pokemon care for levels while i ran around Goldenrod It was level 6 and it is now level 11, It is the second shiny i have found on a pokemon game on DS since my Red feathered Starly in pokemon pearl last year!

I have a shiny Gyarados in Silver. lol but so does everyone else.
in emerald i ran into a shiny Poochyena but it used roar!

As for myself, I haven't gotten the games as yet, and I never ordered the Japanese version, so I'm pretty much without a shiny in the games. Knowing my luck, I may not encounter any (other than the obvious Red Gyarados). Plus, without the PokéRadar it will only making hunting for shinies up to chance.
