That would be great ^^. I definably think most gym rosters should be changed and be leveled up. A level 7 Pidgey for a gym leader was pathetic.

That sounds good, and I believe Johto is represented by at least one Pokemon in every team.

Me likey, except for a few things...

Will having a Slowbro and a Slowking wouldn't make sense in my opinion. Just give him a Slowking, and he'll be covered. Elite Four members usually only have five Pokemon anyway. Koga does not need a Nidoking. Karen does not need a freakin' Tyrannitar(That would NOT be cool!) Will someone please give Bruno a Steelix?

Other than those things, this would be an amazing party list for the Gym Leaders and Elite Four.

Personally, I would like for the rival to have a better party after you get the National Dex, and you beat the Elite Four twenty times.

Here's what I hope it will be:

    Meganium, Typhlosion, Feraligatr (Lv. 83)
    Crobat (Lv. 79)
    Magnezone (Lv. 78)
    Alakazam (Lv. 77)
    Garchomp (Lv. 81)
    Weavile (Lv. 80)

I would like for Red to keep his party the way it is, until you beat the Elite Four twenty times.

    Pikachu (Lv. 95)
    Sceptile (Lv. 93)
    Infernape (Lv. 93)
    Blastoise (Lv. 93)
    Tauros (Lv. 91)
    Glaceon (Lv. 92)

    Who likey?

I think they should be leveled lower, because as someone has already said, they couldn't fit it all in with the sixteen gyms. I know some will be like "But we don't know if they're put in Kanto!"
They are, so I think they should keep the Pokemon leveled lower.

THe thing that I want to bring up is that this is a remake. Clearly they made some changes as in having the pokemon follow you around but changing the levels and the pokemon of the gym leaders would be taking this idea of remake too far and just make HGSS to be completely new games.

The pokemon the gym leaders had was what made the them. Take Bugsy for example. He had a metapod, kakuna and a scyther and was shown to be an up and coming young trainer which his pokemon matched.

Still don't get me wrong. I am up for them changing the pokemon around when you can go rechallenge them. That is cool with me since I do want to rechallenge the gym leaders once I beat them the first time.

Almost definitely they will up the levels.

I know that they'll keep Kanto, but I want to see an up in E4 levels anyway.
And maybe even another increase in levels after you defeat the Kanto Gyms.

No, see this is where the definition of a remake is mistaken. If the original storyline has been altered and if the game in anyway has taken a drastic change of play, then this would be considered shifting away from the idea of the Gold and Silver games being remade. A simple change in features and leveled up gyms, elites, trainers, Red, etc. wouldn't make this a shift. As long as they keep their same Pokémon roster from the original, then nothing else should really be a problem.

Raising the levels, Al, and move sets is only sticking to current challenges, as Platinum did raise the standards from a regular Pokémon game. I do see them changing the levels of the gyms and so on, because it will be needed to keep the game up to date with the latest, as before in the originals they were very under leveled.

However, I do agree, after a rematch is called for, then extended levels and new Pokémon alterations can definitely be done as it won't fall under any wrong categories for the game. This would simply be a rematch and change in event after the main storyline has taken place. Plus, to see Johto filled with the newer Pokémon afterwards would be pretty cool. We'll see what happens though, with Red, the gyms, and Elites because no information has been given off. I would expect to see something about it by next month for the least.

Merged your thread with this one, as it already has had people posting their ideas for teams for Gym Leaders/the Elite Four and all amongst the discussion as well - no need for two.

They might be having 3rd and 4th generation pokemon :)
I seriously don't think that they may have the 3rd or 4th gen pokemon as Fire Red/Leaf Green didn't had any pokemon of other gens before getting the National Pokedex. Only the teams may get higher levels, higher AI, better movesets etc,etc..( I can be wrong if they add any 3rd or 4th gen pokemon to the new jhoto pokedex :P)

if they leave out kanto and I hope they do or just turn kanto into a battle frontier then johto should be a kick ass place to train otherwise it'll be easy as hell again
    HORRIBLE IDEA.

One of the biggest reasons G/S/C were so popular was that you could go to both regions. Plus, it is an important part of the game itself. Taking out Kanto would be a low blow to all the true hearted G/S/C players.

And I can't stand the battle frontiers. They don't appeal to me at all.
