    Hoenn Elite 4
    [PokeCommunity.com] Hoenn Elite 4

Unlike the previous two regions of Kanto and Johto, Hoenn had a completely separate Elite 4 with new members.

    Sidney - Dark type specialist
    Phoebe - Ghost type specialist
    Glacia - Ice type specialist
    Drake - Dragon type specialist

What were your opinions on this Elite 4? Were they too easy? Too strong? Would you have preferred them to have any other type preference of Pokemon? Personally I thought they were great, I wish the more recent games kept the steady level increase each member gets as you progress.

I loved Hoenn Elite Four; they weren't very average-looking, and each had something special that helped distinct them from the other. They were all right right in terms of difficulty, but Drake was extremely tough, though. When I had first faced him, I had to go through plenty of defeats before getting him beaten. :P

I thought this E4 was a nice bunch - they weren't too easy and they provided a bit of challenge. I also really like the types that they chose - especially Dragon, since regardless of your Pokemon, facing a bunch of Dragons after not having access to a Pokemon Center and maybe not having enough medicine items (aka me) is pretty tough. What I didn't like though is how they only had 5 Pokemon (why aren't we facing full teams of six?! Unlike the Gym Leaders, the E4 isn't supposed to be holding back anymore!) and how a lot of them were duplicates. Phoebe had 2 Dusclops and Banettes, Glacia had 2 Sealeos and Glalies, and Drake had a Shelgon and a Salamence.

I always thought Phoebe's outfit was pretty interesting, and I wonder why they chose it, since it seems kinda random and completely unrelated to ghosts.

    RSE's Elite Four is my favorite crew of all the Pokemon games. Each were unique characters with interesting story lines and powerful teams. Sidney fit his role as the classy Dark type master, and my personal favorite Phoebe sported a distinctive outfit that stood out from the crowd, Glacia seemed to be the most mature of the four, and Drake the wise, strong Dragon specialist. It wasn't easy to take them down either; my Breloom did most of the dirty work. n__n;

I struggled the most with Glacia. She would always Sheer Cold my Pokemon...even after I got over those she was still tough. Drake was too. I kept getting paralyzed by his Pokemon's Dragon Breaths.

Great bunch of Elite Four members, probably the best of any Region in fact. I like how diverse their typings are, and they look pretty cool too.

I loved their level increases and I also really like their designs.
They just look so.. unexpected? Like they shouldn't be using the type they are using?

Phoebe, Glacia, and Drake specifically. Glacia looks like she should be raising Dragons and Phoebe and Drake both look like Water specialists, with maybe Grass instead for Phoebe because of her tropical theme. I really like how unpredictable they were for me as a kid running through the Elite 4 the first time. Tossing out the Pokemon type I was not expecting and giving me a run for my money. I think they're great. <3

When I first saw the elite 4 I judged them by their appearance because that's how it was with the last two generations. Then I come and see that the characters don't match anything with their Pokémon which got me so confused. It took me about 10 failures to actually beat the game.

I thought their appearances were really out there, something I liked a lot. Phoebe and Drake especially, they look like cosplayers...some strong cosplayers, if you ask me. They were tough, had unique looks, and had some great type diversity.

Haha, they have really different designs, but they still rightfully represent the types they use ... for me at least. :P Sidney is a punk kid, I know Phoebe's outfit makes sense - but I just don't know how lol, Glacia has this thing that makes her feel "cold", and Drake is tough, dragons are tough so yeah. xD Overall, I really like the Elite Four of this region, they were unique but very underrated. I forgot how were they like, but I can recall Phoebe and Sidney being nightmares (hehe) probably due to the fact that my Pokemon weren't really well-trained, ha.

They were too easy. Okay maybe Glacia was tough, Walrein has a great bulk and I lost because of him once. I OHKO'ed Drake's Pokémon with Ice Beam and Dragon Claw. He was the easiest one.

Phoebe might be the only Elite Four member who gets owned by a Route 1 catch (Mightyena). And Sydney goes down hard to Fighting types, but it's still a decent Elite Four. Sheer Cold Walrein is something to watch out for.

The Hoenn Elite Four all had pretty unique designs going for them, sometimes not even the look you'd expect for a specialist of their types such as the hula girl design Phoebe had despite being a Ghost specialist. I think Phoebe looked really cute, and although her team wasn't that impressive she did have some interesting strategy so yeah I give her the credit for that. Sidney looks really cool too given how unique his team looks with all their secondary types.

I liked them well enough, especially Drake. However, their lack of variety wasn't very appealing, although Emerald did fix that sort of. I didn't care that much for most of their designs, but they were pretty decent to fight nonetheless.

When I first played Ruby, I found them incredibly difficult. Then again, I was young and quite terrible at raising Pokemon. However, as I played the games more and more, I found them easier to take on, and now barely find them difficult at all! Anyway, I like the typings each of them had and wouldn't change them at all. What I didn't like were the number of duplicates; I can sort of understand for Glacia and Phoebe because so few Pokemon of their respective types were available, but there were enough Dragons available that Drake could've used. Fortunately, Emerald fixed that by giving him Kingdra.

I thought this Elite Four was perfect; not impossibly difficult, but certainly not too easy. They did increase in difficulty as you progressed. Plus, they were all cool looking. Can't wait to see their updated versions.

They were possibly my favorite Elite Four yet. I will admit that Sidney, Phoebe, and Glacia where extremely underwhelming, but Drake was almost impossibly hard. Mind you, they can each be tough, but they really aren't much to other E4s. Their level "spike" wasn't much to brag about, either.

However, they each had great designs, and rather unique looking teams, which is always a nice quality. phoebe is probably my favorite, though. I was pleasantly surprised to see that she wasn't a Water type E4 member, and rather a Ghost type.
