    I think I'm overall just terrible at games honestly. ;( My favorite kind of games to play are RPGs though. And then I guess action, adventure, puzzle, and simulation follows. I never play sports games and rarely play shooters or survival/horror games. And I'm also crap at motion controls. WEEEE!

    As for some missing genres, I'll say 1/10 for Stealth because I'm awful at parts of action/adventure games where I have to sneak around (Forsaken Fortress anyone?) and generally don't play games based on the whole aspect. Rhythm/Music games I'll say 8/10, though I don't play them often anymore. Last time I played was with a group of friends. They're really better in a group anyway.

    I'm not too much into hardcore gaming, such as those on Steam, nor am I much into newer videos games, really, so I scored myself low in some areas on purpose. I usually play more classic video games or simple video games.

    I would say that I am just about average at playing video games, unless it comes to sports games, in which case I can beat pretty much anyone I know at any game. Sports games probably make up about half my collection, with the rest just being a pretty random mix of games.

    The only two types of games on the list that I don't play at all would be FPS and Horror games. I would have also put a 0 for other shooters in general, but since the Mass Effect and GTA games have a shooting element to it (even if that isn't the genre they really fall under), I gave myself a two.

  • I added Rhythm to the list, but I'm having a bit of trouble recognizing Stealth as anything other than a subgenre of Action. Can anyone provide a clear distinction that makes it its own genre? I don't care enough. Adding it anyway.

    I hate sports games, so my lack of practice makes me pretty bad at them XD. I have quite a good natural nack at puzzle/strategy games though - and playing so many RPGs means I tend to know more than the basics before I even start.

    I'm great at anything adventure-y or RPG-y since if a game has a good story or a gripping objective like adventuring, I won't quit till I win the whole series and this has made me pretty darn good at those kinds of games. I'm not so good at puzzle games though - not because I can't do them, but because I get bored and quit too easily with too many puzzles but they're fun for a while xD LoZ is the kind of game that has the perfect combination of the two though, so I love games like that. I generally suck at sports games, and with stealth/strategy games I don't usually have the patience to excel at them. x] Platformers would've been a 10/10, but after playing Kid Icarus I'm doubting my skills there. ;;

    Haha, you can see I'm all over the board here! xD All I did was read the genre, and rate myself at whatever game of that genre I thought of first. For FPS, I love the Metroid Prime series, but I'm not too good at things like COD, so that's why it's so low. And I don't do that well at non-Wii Rhythm games... :\

    • [7 / 10] Action ★ - It really depends on the game, as it's a wide genre including lots of sub-genres. I'm fairly good at most of them, but far from a pro.
    • [10 / 10] Adventure ★ - Been great at most I've played.
    • [5 / 10] Fighting ★ - Never been a competitive player and I'm pretty much struggling against bosses in most of them (SFIV, BlazBlue, DOA4).
    • [6 / 10] FPS ★ - I can do well and I've beaten some of them on the highest difficulty. Never played competitive, so I don't know my skills. I'd probably suck.
    • [10 / 10] Platformers ★ - Been great at most I've played.
    • [7 / 10] Puzzle ★ - Not really a genre I played much, so I can't really judge my skills.
    • [9 / 10] Racing ★ - I've mostly played mainstream racing games, like NFS, Forza, Mario Kart etc. I'm mostly good at them. Haven't tried competitive.
    • [8 / 10] Rhythm ★ - Kicked ass in Bust-a-Move 2, doing great in Ouendan. DDR with a Dance Podium? Faaaail.
    • [10 / 10] RPGs ★ - The main genre I play. Never had a problem with them. And when I have a problem, I always find a way to solve it.
    • [6 / 10] Shooter ★ - Not really a fan of those games, but I've done well in some of them. Nothing I'd consider good.
    • [3 / 10] Simulation ★ - Aside from Sims 2 & 3, I've played nothing.
    • [2 / 10] Sports ★ - PES with friends, and that's it. Solo? Never. Also I mostly suck so I end up trying to injure their best players.
    • [8 / 10] Stealth ★ - Done well in the MGS series. Haven't played much games in this genre, but I've been doing good in those I've played.
    • [3 / 10] Strategy ★ - I can somehow beat the Story Mode. Competitive? Nope. Always lose.
    • [4 / 10] Survival-Horror ★ - Haven't played much of those. Mostly old Resident Evil games and Dead Island. I've done well in Dead Island 2P co-op. I've never finished the old RE games tho. Zombies breaking the windows scare the **** out of me.
    It's pretty difficult rating your skills in a genre full with sub genres, such as Action. Example: I'm great at Dynasty Warriors games (Hard&Master), but not the best Bayonetta player. At least the list shows which genres we're good at. Even though I mostly suck at Fighting Games, they are still one of my favorite genre, aside from RPGs and Hack'n'Slash/Beat'emUps.

    [1 / 10] Fighting ★ Very bad in this genre. I remember playing Tekken, but I was only good playing as Law.
    [2 / 10] FPS ★ The only FPS game I am good at is Doom. The modern FPS games are just far too difficult for me now. :(
    [8 / 10] Platformers ★ I have really liked most of the platformers which have been out. One of my favorite type of genres.
    [9 / 10] Puzzle ★ I have played most puzzle games and I really enjoy them. My favorite is the Bust a Move games, followed by Tetris Attack/Puzzle League.
    [9 / 10] Racing ★ If there is one game that excels in this genre, it's Gran Turismo. Best racing game of my life.
    [8 / 10] RPGs ★ The Zelda, Pokemon and Phantasy Star games have really been good for me.
    [9 / 10] Shooter ★ Is this 3rd person shooter? If it is, I'm normally pretty good at these, playing the likes of Syphon Filter, Grand Theft Auto etc.
    [n/a / 10] Simulation
    [4 / 10] Sports ★ The only Sports games I am good at are the Track and Field related games. Everything else, and I'm really bad at them, especially the FIFA games.
    [8 / 10] Strategy ★ I love games like Command and Conquer, and I especially love Warzone 2100 (they have a website for it, which they are still working on)
    [7 / 10] Survival-Horror ★ Silent Hill has always been the great game in this genre, and I remember my mistake with playing the first one as a little kid XD

    Gotta ask though - Why are there two different categories for FPS and Shooter? XD;
    I believe 'shooter' refers to the likes of Fraxy, Time Crisis, Tōhō Project, etc.
