The Good:
- Seeing everyone! :D It's been a year since I've seen my older stepbrother and his family. (I could've seen him in March, but I worked and couldn't get my shift covered also it was the HG/SS release and I wanted my game *coughs*.)
- Food was pretty good, although mostly fried or sweet.
- Presents! /materialistic I got a mug, an ornament, a crochet blanket, a pair of knitted gloves and matching hat, $20 worth of candy (I kid you not), a candle, a bar of soap, $10 in cash, a $25 Best Buy giftcard, and some cookies.
- Our White Elephant was pretty funny. My stepdad likened the cat Pillow Pet I bought as the gift to roadkill because it opened up, that was amazing. I ended up taking home a pillow with the word Hope from that, which was apparently a Family Guy reference?
- And most importantly, my little brother beat Ice Cream Beat for me, after over a month of getting frustrated at it. Sometimes I miss my little brother; if I get stuck in a game, chances are he can bail me out. :) I can finally move on with BBS! Now if only I weren't sucked into P3P right now...
The Bad:
- SNOW. Lincoln, Nebraska is usually a 2.5, 3 hour drive from here, depeding on the roads. It snowed yesterday. It took the 3 hours up... but it got worse at night and it took nearly 5 to get us back. To be fair, we had to make quite a few stops (my roommate wasn't feeling very well and we had a long stop at a McDonalds for food), but even accounting for stops the snow itself would've taken us 4 hours for sure. I was so tired of the car when I got home. :(
- Not nearly as bad, the high heels I wore hurt like hell. But I didn't slip in the snow, so that was a plus.
