6th Gen I know I'll get crucified for asking this but I promised my son I'd ask...

First off - apologies. Whenever I hear or see anything to do with Pokemon, my brain goes into shutdown mode - I neither process or retain any information about it. So searches for my question [coming up] have resulted in hits that mean absolutely nothing to me.

In short, im an old fart with a young son who is keeps asking me about Pokemon and I can't help him.

Question: apparently my boy got a a code from Smyths Toystore in the UK recently which gave him a Pokemon. He's still young and wanted to play 'Omega Ruby' through again so he deleted his game save and apparently lost his wonderful Pokemon in the process. Is there any way he can get this back or obtain another code for a new Pokemon?

I hope I've explained the above sufficiently. If any answers are forthcoming please can they be low-level so I can understand them.

Thank you and my apologies if I've transgressed any codes of Pokemon behaviour or etiquette here.

You're fine haha! Nobody's going to crucify you :)

Unfortunately, there's no way for him to recover save data that's lost. The only way that it could possibly be recovered is if your son has a Powersaves device and backed up the file BEFORE he deleted the save file. The device can't recover data if he didn't have it before, but I thought I would ask.

Was the code already entered into the game? I think you would have to get a new code, but I'm sure that the store would be understanding. If your son is looking for a specific Pokemon, I'm sure there is someone in the Trade forum that would be willing to trade it to you,

    PokePapa.

As Altairis said, the pokemon is gone for good.
However, all is not lost, you may find someone here in pokecommunity willing to trade you the pokemon. Just put a post in the quick trade section HERE asking for "the shiny event Xerneas/Yveltal" (you'll have to find out from you son if it was Xerneas or Yveltal), then just explain the situation there and hopefully someone will help you out! Good luck!
