If you don't know about EVs and IVs and such, you'll wanna take a look at this: http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?499840-A-basic-guide-to-EVs-IVs-and-natures

Items and abilities are also an important part of battles.

Choice Scarf is the usually the best item for Typholsion, so it can quickly get off a full power Eruption. Having an extra Fire attack is actually a good thing in this case, so Typholsion still has a useable Fire attack for when its HP is low:

    -Typholsion w/Choice Scarf
    Nature: Modest/Timid
    Ability: Blaze
    EVs: 252 Sp.Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moves: Eruption, Focus Blast, Fire Blast, Extrasensory/Hidden Power Grass or something

Rampardos isn't all that great in Singles btw. It's a ♥♥♥♥ing beast in Rotations though. Anyway, you don't wanna use a special attacking set unless it has Sheer Force; otherwise, stick to physical attacks:

-Rampardos w/Choice Band or Life Orb
    Nature: Adamant
    Ability: Mold Breaker
    EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moves: Head Smash/Stone Edge, Earthquake, Zen Headbutt, Superpower/Crunch

Ferrothorn has awful Sp.Attack but has good defenses, so you'll wanna make use of that:

    -Ferrothorn w/Leftovers or Rocky Helmet
    Nature: Relaxed/Sassy
    Ability: Iron Barbs
    EVs: 252 HP, 48 Defense, 208 Sp.Defense
Moves: Gyro Ball/Thunder Wave, Power Whip/Protect, Stealth Rock, Leech Seed

Don't use Thunder Wave and Gyro Ball together.

Starmie is a decent Spinner and/or special attacker:

    -Starmie w/Life Orb
    Nature: Timid
    Ability: Natural Cure
    EVs: 252 Sp.Attack, 252 Speed
Moves: Hydro Pump, Psyshock, Thunderbolt/Ice Beam, Rapid Spin

    or

    -Starmie w/Leftovers
    Nature: Timid
    Ability: Natural Cure
    EVs: 248 HP, 32 Defense, 4 Sp.Attack, 224 Speed
Moves: Scald, Recover, Psyshock, Rapid Spin

Braviairy is kinda outclassed by Talonflame and Staraptor, but if you wanna use it, just swap Crush Claw with Rock Slide for better coverage.

    Clefable's pretty boss, iirc:

    -Clefable w/Life Orb
    Nature: Bold
    Ability: Magic Guard
    EVs: 252 HP, 252 Defense, 4 Sp.Attack
Moves: Moon Blast, Calm Mind, Fire Blast, Moonlight

    or

    -Clefable w/Leftovers
    Nature: Calm
    Ability: Unaware/Magic Gaurd
    EVs: 252 HP, 132 Defense, 124 Sp.Defense
Moves: Moonlight, Moon Blast, Aromatherapy, Ice Beam/Fire Blast/Toxic

So, let's start with that and see what you think and what questions you have.

So, let's start with that and see what you think and what questions you have.
While Choice Scarf Eruptions give Typhlosion a niche, it's still not enough to set itself apart from other Fire Pokemon like Charizard, Infernape, Heatran, Chandelure, Victini and Talonflame:
    Charizard:
    -Dragon Dance
    -Flare Blitz/Fire Punch
    -Dragon Claw/Outrage

    -Flamethrower/Fire Blast/Hidden Power (Ice)
    Nature: Modest

    Volcarona:

    -Zen Headbutt/Final Gambit
    -U-turn
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Scarf

Rampardos is terrible because its combination of low Speed and defenses makes it easy to take out. Tyranitar outclasses Rampardos in everything it does because it has the bulk to take hits:
    -Dragon Dance
    -Stone Edge/Crunch
    -Ice Punch/Crunch
    -Earthquake
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Tyranitarite
    Ability: Sand Stream

    or
    -Stone Edge
    -Crunch
    -Pursuit
    -Earthquake/Ice Punch
    Nature: Jolly/Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe (Jolly) or 180 HP/252 Atk/76 Spe (Adamant)
Item: Choice Scarf (Jolly)/Choice Band (Adamant)
    Ability: Sand Stream

    or
    -Crunch
    -Stone Edge/Ice Beam
    -Earthquake
    -Stealth Rock/Fire Blast
    Nature: Impish/Relaxed
    EVs: 248 HP/252 Def/8 SDef
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Sand Stream

As Zekrom mentioned, you're wasting away Ferrothorn's good defenses. Not even a Naive nature can save its terrible Speed. Self-Destruct makes you sacrifice Ferrothorn needlessly:
    -Leech Seed
    -Protect/Thunder Wave
    -Gyro Ball/Power Whip
    -Stealth Rock/Spikes/Gyro Ball
    Nature: Relaxed
    EVs: 252 HP/216 Def/40 SDef
    Item: Leftovers/Rocky Helmet
    Ability: Iron Barbs

    or
    -Stealth Rock/Spikes
    -Leech Seed
    -Gyro Ball/Thunder Wave
    -Power Whip/Protect
    Nature: Relaxed
    EVs: 252 HP/216 Def/40 SDef
    Item: Leftovers/Rocky Helmet
    Ability: Iron Barbs

@Zekrom: bulky Starmie isn't viable now, due to Assault Vest Excadrill pulling it off better.

Talonflame outclasses what Braviary does big-time. Refer to above for possible sets. Even Staraptor outclasses Braviary due to Reckless-boosted moves:
    -Double-Edge
    -Brave Bird
    -Close Combat
    -U-turn/Final Gambit/Quick Attack
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Band/Choice Scarf
    Ability: Reckless

Other Clefable sets are as follows:
    -Calm Mind
    -Moonblast
    -Moonlight/Wish
    -Heal Bell/Aromatherapy/Protect/Flamethrower/Stored Power
    Nature: Bold
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Unaware/Magic Guard

    or
    -Wish
    -Protect
    -Moonblast
    -Heal Bell/Aromatherapy/Thunder Wave/Stealth Rock
    Nature: Bold
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Unaware/Magic Guard

    or
    -Moonblast
    -Fire Blast
    -Thunder Wave
    -Soft-Boiled/Moonlight
    Nature: Modest
    EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SAtk
    Item: Life Orb
    Ability: Magic Guard

    Clefable

    Shadow ball
    Thunder punch
    Nature impish

not many use darmanitan, and its really a shame :( it can do so much with the choice scarf and that amazing attack

    Darmanitan @ Choice Scarf
    Ability: Sheer Force
    EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
    Jolly Nature
    - Flare Blitz
    - Superpower
    - Rock Slide/earthquake
    - U-turn

rampardos as other said, really doesnt cut it in ou. And ttar pulls off the mix set much better.

i have been seeing a lot of these tbolt ferro's lately on the bs, idek what it is with people :/
this is the set i would recommend

    Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
    Ability: Iron Barbs
    EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
    Relaxed Nature
    IVs: 0 Spd
    - Stealth Rock
    - Leech Seed
    - Gyro Ball
    - Thunder Wave/power whip

also if you play strategically i have been using this set for over a month now, and some of my friends have used it too, absolutely wrecks if played properly
    Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
    Ability: Iron Barbs
    EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
    Relaxed Nature
    IVs: 0 Spd
    - Curse
    - Leech Seed
    - Gyro Ball
    - Power Whip

you can play around with the ev's tho, making it max special defense is advised

i would also really suggest greninja over starmie since you are anyway not using it for rapid spin. and the coverage moves plus protean is absolutely smashing.

    Greninja @ Life Orb
    Ability: Protean
    EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
    Timid Nature
    - Ice Beam
    - Hydro Pump
    - Hidden Power [Fire]
    - Dark Pulse

braviary is meh, use talonflame (see platydude :>)

clefable really is boss this gen, fairy typing and unaware really helps u sweep.

you could also try a little special defense walls on your team tho, i would suggest florgess if you go into that.

    Florges (F) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Flower Veil
    EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
    Calm Nature
    IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SAtk / 30 Spd
    - Moonblast
    - Wish
    - Protect
    - Aromatherapy

Also be sure to check your team synergy after your done selecting your sets, don't just put in mons you think can bring hell over the opponent (ir try to cover up each of the mons typing weaknesses), try a little defense and strat play. helps a lot.

Given the inclusion of a Fire Pokemon on the team, Rapid Spin support from Starmie is mandatory, so Starmie has to stay.

Also, Curse Ferrothorn needs a lot of support to even work effectively that it's not worth using.

Florges is also outclassed by Clefable and Sylveon as a Fairy Wish passer. Both pass bigger Wishes, the former has more coverage options than Florges (like Flamethrower/Fire Blast), while the latter has more offensive presence in Pixilate-boosted Hyper Voices. Florges' abilities are also absolutely useless in Single battles.

  • You should use Focus Sash on your Ramparados, however since you'd be killed by one Head Smash you should max out it's speed and equip Choice Scarf instead. Rampa doesn't really need a good movepool when he can just sweep with Head Smash

  • spin support is no way mandatory on a team even though it has a fire type
its helpful ofc, but you can play without it

    starmie sucks, run excadrill instead
Spin/Defog support is mandatory for teams with Stealth Rock-weak Pokemon because once the hazard gets down and you have no way of getting it off, those Pokemon will be crippled when they switch in (especially Charizard and Talonflame). And yes, I do agree with Excadrill being on the team over Starmie:
    -Earthquake
    -Iron Head
    -Rapid Spin
    -Rock Slide/Stealth Rock
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers/Air Balloon
    Ability: Mold Breaker

    or
    -Earthquake
    -Iron Head
    -Rock Slide
    -Rapid Spin
    Nature: Adamant/Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe (Choice Scarf) or 120 HP/136 Atk/252 SDef (Assault Vest; Adamant only)
    Item: Choice Scarf/Assault Vest
    Ability: Mold Breaker
