[Other Question] Is it possible to have 2 battle systems in one game?

As the title says.
Is it possible to have 2 battle systems active in one game?

For example: the old style gen 2 battle system used in "GSC v1.1" is active from the start. But then you trigger an event/script/whatever and it swaps to the default pokemon essentials battle system?

Im guessing this is going to be extremely difficult to implement "if its possible at all"

It's definitely possible, but you'd have to code the system to load the graphics and script data for the respective UI styles yourself. Like you said, it'll be difficult.
