I love it when a weekend that starts good just turns to crap in an instant. I can't do anything now except putz around on the Linux lab computers trying to get a working Windows environment.

Huh. Your lab computers mostly run Linux? It's quite strange... but shouldn't you be able to use a Linux computer easily if the Linux distro is easy-to-use?
