3rd Gen leaf green pokemon team

im starting my pokemon leaf green walkthrough this evening.
i have an idea of what i will use, what does everybody think?
venasaur- grass/poison - starter pokemon
fearow - flying
magmar - fire
starmie - water/physhic
magneton - electric
golem - rock/ground

Looks like a pretty good team to me! I personally would choose Pidgeot over Fearow though, but totally up to you!

I like your team, but where are you gonna get that magma from early game?

If you want my team I used for LG
- Charizard Fire/Flying
- Pidgeot Flying (early game HM03)
- Raichu Electric (Obtained in viridian forest, insta killer on misty)
- Gyarados Water
- Dragonite Dragon (Very powerful overall, obtainable in celadon city)
- Nidoking Poison/Ground

I had this team before I battled the fourth gym, grinded them all to lvl 50-55 but it took some time.

I might have to use Vulpix in the mean time. Can't get magmar till after Blaine. But I think any team will get through the game
