Current "curses"
Limited Supplies - 20 items only, TMs and key items are fine. Any extras must be used immediately, sold, or thrown away.
Mutiny - Team reset after the first gym
Storm Problems - No Fire types or Fire moves until after Clay, must get a Water type fish, but impossible to get until I get Surf. Psyduck is also not a fish, so I can't use it to fulfill this condition.
They're minerals! - Catch a Pokemon in the Mineral egg group. Virbank Complex has Magnemite, so this is an easy fix.
So, because of the Mutiny Global Rule, I have to box my whole team and catch a replacement. Since I'll eventually need Surf, Lancelot will probably be seeing the light of day in the future. Before I can even do any of that, however, there's plot to take care of. Right away, an unwelcome distraction from Bianca and a free Return TM that I might consider using in the eventual future. Some talking later and it was off to the Pokemon Center to sell my X Speed to make a little bit of room for items. And now, time to go back to the ranch since that's pretty much the best place I can catch a replacement team member at this point without battling the Hiker on Route 20. Originally, I wanted to find a high leveled Lillipup since I know they exist, but then settled for a Psyduck...only to later find a Level 7 Lillipup, so naturally, I replaced the Psyduck right away with said Lillipup.
I used a couple of the Oran Berries Alder gave me while I leveled up to Level 10 and then it was back to box all the mons I either can't use or don't plan to use. Anyway, at Level 10 with an X Attack, can we beat the Hiker's Riolu without getting obliterated? Actually, yes, because Riolu sucks at this point of the game. Sure, he had Endure, which made it a 3HKO, but I still won while underleveled. And now, it's off to Virbank City. I may actually keep this Lillipup around, but Pickup is pretty bad when I can only hold 20 items. Speaking of items, Cheren gave me 3 Pecha Berries so I used one of my Potions, I literally walked past the double battle, and the moment I'm about to enter Virbank City, I get Great Balls given to me. Ahhhhhhh! Stop doing this to me, game! Luckily, it's only 2, but that pushes me to 18 items.
Anyway, family issues are a thing that happen, but...who cares? We're gonna go hunting for Magnemites in Virbank Complex instead, then farm against some Audino for some levels. Luckily, I ran into one first encounter, but thanks to some complications and it getting a crit with Tackle, I used my Fresh Water and caught it first try with a Great Ball. Welcome Magneto to the team. And now we farm against Audino.
On an unrelated note, so far, both Grayhound and Magneto have +Defense natures. What is this, I can't even. Anyway, after farming, I went to Virbank Complex...only to experience first hit Flame Body and getting paralyzed on the first Thundershock from an Elekid. My cursed luck is the stuff of legends. The final worker went down very easy thanks to Magneto, though. Speaking of Magneto, he's pretty much going to obliterate this gym, being a Steel type and all. Like, seriously, he hard walls
everything in this gym, it's actually really, really funny. Nothing was hard in the gym. Easy run, easy game.
