  • This is my main deck that I use for any tournaments and I am working on it for this years Regionals and Nationals! So I could use any suggestions on how to clean this deck up!

    Pokemon
    3 Magmar 93/132 SW
    1 Magmar 54/123 MT
    3 Magmortar 31/132 SW
    1 Magmortar X

    1 Heatran 6/146 LA
    1 Heatran X

    2 Cyndaquil 79/123 MT
    2 Quilava 60/123 MT
    1 Typhlosion 16/123 MT

    2 Baltoy 60/106 GE
    1 Claydol 15/106 GE

    2 Sentret 104/132 SW
    1 Furret 27/132 SW

    1 Rayquaza 14/146 LA

    Supporters/Trainers
    3 Bebe's Search
    2 Buck's Training
    2 Marley's Request
    1 Roseanne's Research
    1 Cynthia's Feelings
    2 Warp Point
    1 Switch
    2 Energy Restore
    1 Night Maintenance
    1 Luxury Ball
    1 Premier Ball
    1 Rare Candy
    1 Technical Machine TS (Evoluter)
    1 Stark Mountain

    Energy
    13 fire
    5 lightning

The idea of the deck is to get Magmortar X and Heatran X out so that Magmortar's poke-power Torrid Wave can affect the opponent without fail for 30 damage in between every turn! Claydoll for card consistency and Furret for getting the cards I need out fast. Rayquazza is a sort of second attacker for when the battle swings in the opponents favor. And finally Typhlosion for powering up Magmortar with his poke-power Fire Starter!

  • Nice concept, and thanks to the release of Platinum, this deck has potential. This build will help you draw your main cards faster than before. My suggestions will be bolded.

    3 Magmar 93/132 SW

    1 Magmar 54/123 MT
    3 Magmortar 31/132 SW
    1 Magmortar X

First, replace the SW Magmar with the MT version. You actually really only need 3 Magmar, so go ahead and take one out. Otherwise, this line is fine.

    1 Heatran 6/146 LA

    1 Heatran X

Add 1 more of each for consistency.

    2 Cyndaquil 79/123 MT

    2 Quilava 60/123 MT
    1 Typhlosion 16/123 MT

This line will work better if you have it 2-1-2.

    2 Baltoy 60/106 GE
    1 Claydol 15/106 GE

Add one more Claydol, and you're set.

    2 Sentret 104/132 SW
    1 Furret 27/132 SW
    1 Rayquaza 14/146 LA

These Pokemon aren't exactly necessary, and there are better options. The option I would recommend is changing the Furret line to a 2-1 Uxie lv. X line (with Uxie from LA).

    Now for the trainers:

Remove Buck's Training, Marley's Request, Switch, Energy Restore, Stark Mountain, and TM-TS 1.

    3 Bebe's Search

    Add one more for consistency.

    1 Roseanne's Research

    Add 2 more.

    1 Cynthia's Feelings

1 Cynthia is about all you'll ever need, so don't change.

    2 Warp Point

    I'd recommend adding one more.

    1 Night Maintenance

    Add 1 more.

    1 Luxury Ball

    Same as Cynthia.

    1 Premier Ball

Change it to 3 Level Max, which makes playing lv. X's so much easier. Remember to have the lv. X in your deck when playing this, and there is a chance that it will fail, so always make sure to have a backup plan.

    1 Rare Candy

    Add 2 more.

For the Energy, 17 Fire should do it.

    Final list

    23 Pokemon
    3 Magmar MT
    3 Magmortar SW
    1 Magmortar lv. X
    2 Heatran (LA #6)
    2 Heatran lv. X
    2 Cyndaquil
    1 Quilava
    2 Typhlosion
    2 Baltoy
    2 Claydol
    2 Uxie (LA)
    1 Uxie lv. X

    20 Trainers
    4 Bebe's Search
    3 Roseanne's Research
    1 Cynthia's Feelings
    3 Warp Point
    2 Night Maintenance
    1 Luxury Ball
    3 Level Max
    3 Rare Candy

    17 Energy
    17 Fire

  • 2-2 Claydol is always necessary. Lighting energy is not needed, and so is the Rare Candy. 4 makes this deck more faster, and helps you get Magmortar Lv.X by T2. I would stick to 2 Level Max because it would be funny if you got heads on the first flip.
