Update - Day 8

Finally got all my guys to at least level 50, and beat Lt Surge with ease. Getting a Ralts ASAP, since I want 6 party members. However, getting it to level 50... Eh... Not to mention finding the Dawn Stone (?) to evolve it into Gallade.

OH NO. I forgot, a Psychic Gym... D: IIRC, Bug is SE against Psychic, so Steves Megahorn should do the trick.

...Wow. Muscle took a Psychic from Sabrinas Alakazam and lived. No wai... Not to mention Muscle destroyed Mr. Mime with Revenge - of all moves - after a Light Screen by Mr. Mime, so yeah, that's pretty cool.

Sorry, but I think I overlevelled. I one-hit every single Pokemon of hers, minus Mr Mime, since I used a turn to heal Steve and attack with Fire Blast, which was stupid. But Steve also took a Psychic from Alakazam, and returned an OHKO with Megahorn. 10 badges down, 6 more to go!

Wow, I'm just breezing through these last few Gyms. 4 more badges, everyone. :D Decided I don't need Gallade, I'm fine with what I have. I have Thunder on Aaron, among various normally effective moves for Misty, my entire team for Brock, and Pory for Blaine and Gary. (As I dubbed him, since his original name was unacceptable by me. :l) Almost done, then I'll take a few days off, then maybe start a Mono-Steel playthrough.

Oh, and I will be fighting Red. :l Overlevelled, of course. Way overlevelled, that is. I plan on getting my entire team to about 90 before the fight, to ensure complete decimation. Er... to make sure I win, I mean.

-Got to Mahogany Town. went to the Lake of rage and caught red Gyarados.
-beat team rocket into pulp.
-Batty evolved from Golbat into Crobat!
-Obtained TM Sludge Bomb! Batty learned Sludge Bomb!
-Had some coins left, so went and got more.
-Drakon learned Flamethrower! (i rock at Voltorb Flip)
-Went back and killed Chuck. Taught fly to Nightowl, replacing Peck.
-I love my Drakon... Flamethrower and Dragon Rage took Jasmine down.
-Grinding. I hate ice types.... (that aren't Delibird(sp?))

On a related note, I quit my dark challenge...it's too much of a hassle to get just one pokemon for my team and frankly I'm too busy to go out of my way like that. Neways, I will pick an easier, fun type that suits me right now. I'll let y'all know soon.

Took a couple hour break, and grinded the guys to level ~ 60, back to the game! I might actually be able to get all the badges by the end of Sunday/tomorrow/whatever. ARGH. Lost my grinding because I forgot to save. How does someone forget to save? :l Oh well.

Now for my progress report #1
(Friday, May 7th)

I started the game and did all the stuff that has to be done before i could catch and trade pokemon. So as soon as i got to Cherrygrove i went straight to the union room to get the egg. So after alot of mindless running around the egg hatches into a Docile natured Eevee! I named him Eifi!

With that i went straight into the grassy areas to train the little guy. After a few close calls in it's earlier levels, i leveled him up to level 14. Then i was concernened about leveling him up because he hadn't evolved, and i'd have to do it by the next level if i wanted him to learn a psycic-type move, Otherwise i'd have to wait until level 36 for him to learn psybeam! So i take a few minutes to do some mindless running around to increase his happiness. After 25 minutes of running around, i set off through Routes 30 and 31 to battle trainers and make my way to Violet city! After various battles, i defeat Bug Catcher Wade and reach level 15. And thankfully Eifi evolves into Espeon and learns Confusion!

So to end the day i reached Violet City!

(Saturday, May 8th)
To test my newly evolved espeon's confusion attack, i head straight for sprout tower. It was really easy! 1-hit KO'd everyone in the building and recieved TM70! I wasted no time teaching Eifi (Espeon) to use it!

After a quick visit to the Pokemon Center, I went straight to the gym. I swept through the gym trainers and challenged Falkner. Knocked his Pidgey out with the first hit, Pidgeotto was a little more difficult, It two hits! So i won the badge and got TM51. I'm going to save it for when i catch a Natu!

So i made my way through Route 32 and avoided all the trainer battles. I didn't want to overlevel Eifi (Espeon), otherwise i would have had a hard time catching Pokemon. I also wanted to save the trainer battles for when i catch slowpoke! After Route 32 i made my way straight through Union Cave, i avoided all trainers except for the Pokemaniac with the Slowpoke. It was quite tricky due to ineffective typing, but i still won~

So i ran through Route 33 and saw a Team Rocket grunt chasing a man away from Slowpoke Well. After the little scene i went to Azelea to heal my Eifi! Afterwards i went to Kurt's so he'd get the Team Rocket grunt out the way. So i went to Slowpoke Well to battle Team Rocket and drive them away so i could catch a slowpoke. Good thing that they mainly use Poison-types, It made it so much easier!~ So after Driving Team Rocket away, Kurt took me back to Azelea and gave me a Fast Ball. So i gave him a Grn Apricorn to turn into a Friend Ball. And speaking of Balls, i went to the pokemart to get some Net Balls to help with my next objective.

So i swiftly headed to Slowpoke Well to serch for my next pokemon! After many Zubats i finally found a Slowpoke! I Tried a Tackle attack thinking it would do alot of damage, But i underestimated Slowpoke's defense so it didn't do much damage. So after a few attcks and a few capture attempts, i finally caught him! I named him Tamaki!

So i spent the rest of the day training My newly caught Slowpoke!

Update Day 9 - Quite possibly the final day. :D

I stayed up rather too late last night so I'm still kinda tired, but eh, it'll wear off.
Gotta do even more grinding since... Well, let me put it this way. I didn't hate Gary until yesterday. :l It's like his Pokemon never miss, run out of PP, or anything negative. No burns, paralyzation, etc. My game hates me. (Hates me since my guise are level 70~ (65-69), and I'm having trouble with his level 50's. -_-)

Wow, I never realized how good the moves are that you can get in the Battle Frontier... Hmmm, I think I might grind BP...

Yeah, I don't really even know how to get BP, so nevermind, and I guess my guise are high enough levels to try again...

All right! All 16 badges! 1 more fight! After a substantial amount of grinding, that is. I'm gonna get them around the levels of the Pokemon in my signature.

Ok, my guys are around level 80 now. Didn't take as long as I thought, but that's why I saved the routes with TONS of trainers for near-endgame.

Just a few types left now. .EJ, I would start adding these to the first post. I've only got nine types left, and they should be done in a few hours or so. In the meantime, enjoy these Userbars.

The one that gave me the most problems was the Dragon-type, since I had no clue what to put as a background color. So, I used black and white, just because I couldn't think of anything else. Let me know what you guys think. I've gotta finish the rest soon, so I don't know when my next Normal-type update will be.

Haven't had time to play, but I had a quick question.

When's the earliest you can trade over eggs in HG/SS?

Because if it's early (before the first gym) I wanna take on the Dragon type challenge after I finish my Ground type run.

I believe it's right after you get the Pokedex, but it may be after you deliver the Egg. I know that it's earlier than the Violet City.

Nice work Arcelio, and the Dragon one looks okay, but the black is kind of conflicting with the Pokemon. However, I can't think of any better colors for it, so the black is fine, but then what would you use for Dark? I can't wait to see the Fighting one. :P And are you/is someone still doing the Champion userbars? Just curious.

-took down Pryce. I finally remembered "Hey, healing items would be helpful!"
-"PEOPLE STOP CALLING ME ALRED-- Team Rocket? Radio Tower? NOT MY PROGRAMS!" *hangs up*
-Got to the radio tower. "Hey, i need to go up there. if you could just.." "YOU NEED A UNIFORM blah blah blah..."
-got a uniform, started to sneak in.
-Damn my rival. knocked the guard out.
-That guys Muk, the one with minimize, is so stupid. i used like four sand-attacks on it. it used minimize 6 times. there 8 rounds in a row with no one getting hit.
-have i ever said how weak my Pidgeotto is? it knows like no good attacks and has low stats. Can't wait for Pidgeot. i gave him a metronome for a little extra power.
-Currently getting my programs back at the radio tower

ending team is (most likely) going to be: Pidgeot, Noctowl, Crobat, Dragonite, Delibird, Skarmory. unless i drop Pidgeot for a Staraptor later. i've had good experiences with both, sooooo...

We have Champion Userbars? This is news to me... But yeah, I suppose I could do them. Do you mean Champion Userbars as in a Userbar just saying 'Pokemon HG/SS Mono-type Champion' followed by the type, or a Userbar saying all that, with the team added?

For the Dark-type, I plan on using all black, but maybe with a slight yellow glow (like Umbreon's rings).
